"My boyfriend
& I along with 2 other couples just came back from an 8-day trip
to WDW. We stayed at the CBR & we could not have been more pleased.
First of all, the theming around the resort was just great & very
authentic looking. We stayed in Aruba & it was perfect. We were
close enough to the bridge that we could walk to Old Port Royale
in 5 minutes but far away enough that the noise & children could
be escaped if needed. The kiddie families tended to house near Old
Port Royale (The Trinidads & Martinique). They constantly played
caribbean music in every nook of the resort. They had a great bar
outside (Banana Cabana) which was perfect around 10pm after a day
in the park & dinner. Also, the CBR has an individual pool for each
island that is usually a lot quieter than the main pool & because
of that it manifests more parental supervision as well. The bussing
was OK. There were only a few times that we waited more then 10
minutes for a bus. Tip: Stay in Jamaica o! r Martinique if you want
a quicker ride home. The busses all started dropping off at one
of these 2 islands & you had to circumvent the resort to get to
your island. The only thing that I didn't like so much was the decor
of the rooms. It wasn't so much caribbean as it was "busy". Ours
was a gross shade of green & it got tiring to look at. Disney ususally
has better presentation & artistic skills. The maid service was
especially nice as were the bell hops. Checking in was a cinch.
I would like to try other resorts but I would definitely recommend
this resort to anyone staying inside WDW." (6/01) Maxine
"We stayed
in the Martinique area, building 21 I think. We loved it. We have
stayed at All-Star Music (WILL NOT do again) and what used to be
Dixie Landings (LOVED also). All of our requests made during reservations
were honored, for example, first floor room, non-smoking, close
to parking (since we drove down). Our room was very clean, every
cast member was friendly, and the atmosphere was intoxicating! We
used the map given to us at check-in and we found our room with
no problem at all. The young lady who checked us in even helped
us get reservations for that evening to eat at 'Ohana at the Polynesian
Resort. (Try this restaurant if you can! Lots of food, reasonable
price for what you get.) We would definitely stay at Caribbean Beach
again." (6/00) Lori C
"We loved
the CBR!! I was a little nervous at first, as we had to wait in
line 40 minutes to check in! Luckily they had crayons, coloring
books, and a Disney video on for the kiddos! We stayed at Martinique
with a water view room. The only minus--it was right next to the
pool. Very loud late at night! A nice walk to Old Port Royale. Loved
the ducks, and the water! The main pool was smaller than I expected,
but still nice nonetheless. My only complaint is we will stay at
least 7 days next time. We spent so much time at the parks, we didn't
get to rent a bike, or boat at the resort. Our maid was wonderful!
Oh yeah--we drove our car, so we had no problem with finding our
room, and getting the luggage there." (6/01) Michele
"This year
was our first time staying on Disney property, so we had no expectations.
I have to say that I got really excited just driving into the resort!
The flowers were absolutely gorgeous! We had 2 rooms in Martinique.
I had requested rooms near Old Port Royale because my mom was in
an ankle cast. I had also requested connecting rooms and a refrigerator.
All of my requests were met with great ease. Martinique was just
far enough away that we didn't have the noise of the main pool.
The rooms were connecting. And, because we needed the frig for my
best friends insulin, we didn't have to pay the nightly fee for
it. The grounds were beautiful. The food in the food court was your
average food. Nothing spectacular, but good nonetheless. The main
restaurant, Captain's Tavern, had really good food and the prices
were comparable to everything else in Disney. Our rooms were clean
and they were kept that way by our wonderful maid, Leslie G. She
did such n! eat things with our bean bag disney animals! And, because
I can be a real slob, she got an extra large tip from us! You can
tell that this is one of the original resorts, but it's been kept
up very nicely. I would not hesitate to go there again." (5/01)

"To be honest,
this first time staying on Disney property, I was somewhat disappointed,
but that didn't last long AT ALL. Check-in was a breeze, and we
decided to walk to our room in the Aruba building so we could get
a feel for this huge resort. We had our bags delivered by cart about
an hour later. The resort is just beautiful; having never been to
the caribbean, this is what I pictured, minus the clear blue ocean.
Very colorful, and reggae or other caribbean-influenced music is
playing all around the main hall that houses the food court, stores,
and main pool, which really adds to the feel. First off, start your
trip right and head directly to the Banana Cabana next to the pool
at Old Port Royale and get yourself a frothy drink (the banana one,
with pineapple juice, bananas, coconut milk, and rum is highly recommended!)
and, if you have kids, a delightful non-alcoholic one. The pool,
while rather small considering the size of the resort, is nonetheless
beautiful, with trailing pink flowers draped everywhere. Set right
off a sandy beach area, it truly was impressive. We started to walk
over the bridge to get to our building, which is directly across
(I believe Aruba and Jamiaca are both directly across the lake,
accessible by foot bridge) and noticed that there was duck food
for a quarter to feed the ducks. Most people were throwing it off
the side of the bridge, but we took a small bag and filled it up
with duck food, and then sat on the beach and fed the ducks. If
you are an animal lover, DO THIS! The ducks are very used to humans,
and will literally eat right out of your hand, and crawl over your
bare feet (well, we HAD to take our shoes off..it's hot!!) for the
food. You can see the ducks swimming from all the way across the
lake heading for you. Let your kids feed the ducks right from their
hands- within minutes, we were surrounded by excited families and
squealing children who apparantly had never thought of doing this.
Much better than just throwing the food into the water. We even
found an injured duck, and alerted the hotel, who promptly rescued
him and brought him to the vet to have his wing and bill repaired.
Our room was clean and bright, and on a corner, so we had two large
windows. Believe it or not, the next morning, they actually had
two little ducks in our courtyard, who came right up to the door.
While we didn't have a water view room, which would have been ideal,
the courtyard was lush and tropical. Our building, #55, seemed quite
far from the buses, but this was a minor inconvenience. At night,
we would get off the bus at the reservation and check-in hall (I
forget what this is called...) and walk around the lake on the wooden
trail to our building. This takes you past the lake and one or two
other buildings, and on the weekend nights, they had a live reggae
band playing across the lake, the music echoing in the air. It was
so romantic- we went to the beach area in front of Aruba, which
was across from the marina and the big party that was going on,
and watched the lights dance across the water from a hammock. We
were on our honeymoon, and were treated like royalty. Everyone,
including the phone operators, was super-nice. We're going back
in two weeks, and I can't wait!
There is a medium sized food court available, with breakfast served
in the morning. It's a nice walk to the food court, and you can
have it packaged to go back to your room if you like. I did just
that, and brought fresh fruit, milk, juice, etc. back to our room
so we could have breakfast in bed. (Or you can take the bus system
to and from, if you prefer. Personally, I liked the walk!) Typical
fare, nothing spectacular, though their bakery is rather delicious.
However, I was extremely impressed with the Captain's Tavern restaurant.
Upon first arriving, I told my husband it looked cheesy from the
outside and we'd NEVER be eating there, but one evening we were
left without a choice (had left the parks without food, and hamburgers
were out of the question!) and decided to go ahead and give it a
try. Wow! My husband had the jerk chicken, and I had the pasta with
red pepper cream sauce with grilled jerk chicken added. YUM! I can't
speak for the other menu choices, but both of our dishes were delicious,
and honestly added to the whole jamaican-feel of the place. Our
waiter was super-attentive, and even went OUT OF THE RESTAURANT
to search for a roll of quarters for us so we could feed the ducks
again. Don't overlook this- it's convenient, and it sure beats hamburgers!
I would highly recommend this resort, especially for couples with
no children. I say that only because the main pool, which is a big
draw, is rather small and far away from some of the buildings. If
that's not a problem, take the kids! They'll get a kick out of the
water cannons at the pool, and can enjoy a frothy beverage complete
with little umbrella and cherry while mom and/or dad indulge in
a little...ahem...spirit. Something else to keep in mind: You can
send an actual coconut as a postcard, which is addressed and sent
via post to your family or friends. I think this was rather expensive
to do, but what a kick! I bought one and sent it to my parents for
paying for our honeymoon, and they couldn't stop talking about how
neat it was. Imagine the envy when your friends get one of these!!!
Also, the coke machines are teriffically expensive (I'm from the
US, and our cokes are normally less than a dollar, but I seem to
remember these being 1.25 or 1.50- I was appalled!!) and bring your
own towels! We bought two disney towels at the main shop because
we'd forgotten our own, and it came to 45 dollars!! Oh my! I thought
I'd heard her wrong at first when the clerk totaled us up, and I
looked at my husband as if he were crazy and said, "What the FRICK
did you buy????" My mistake. Don't let it be yours!!! :>) "

"Caribbean
Beach Resort is so wonderful, I was disappointed not to have more
time to spend at the resort itself. We stayed in Jamaica, building
#45 where we had a beautiful corner room that looked out toward
Parrot Cay. Quickly outside our door, you could walk across the
bridge through Parrot Cay and over to the pool or food court. The
room, as all I've found at WDW, was quite clean and our housekeeper
delighted us each day by leaving a new washcloth animal on our sink.
The food court was convenient for snacking upon returning from the
Parks, but we did not dine in the restaurant. I did purchase the
thermal cup and used it plenty for coffee to get going on early
entry mornings.
The beaches were very nice and the reggae in the evenings very entertaining.
Ours was a whirlwind weekend trip and we spent far too much time
in the parks to enjoy all we could have of Caribbean Beach. It is
an ideal spot for relaxing and that certainly was not on our agenda.
Luckily, the cast members at Caribbean Beach were able to help us
spend every second in the parks that we could. We arrived before
check-in on Thursday and they eagerly stored our luggage until we
returned in the late evening and they delivered our bags to the
room for us. Likewise, we checked out in the morning of our last
day at WDW and checked our luggage (heavier than when we arrived)
and met the shuttle for the airport after reclaiming our bags. I
found the buses to be regular and convenient. It was a long trip
home from Fort Wilderness that's for sure, but the trips to the
Parks were reasonable distances." (Sept '00) Amy
"We stayed
in Aruba, it was wonderful! It was far enough away from OPR (main
pool & food court area) to be quiet and peaceful, but is was also
close enough to be a comfortable walk when we wanted to go eat or
use the theme pool. Our room faced a beautiful courtyard where our
boys enjoyed playing with their AK dinosaurs! They also enjoyed
having the beach almost completely to themselves. Another delight
- walking past rooms where guests decorated their windows with new
found Disney treasures. We wanted to stay there on our trip this
September, but our youngest will be four when we visit(to old for
a crib) and the rooms don't accomodate 5 (except when one is in
a crib), so we're going to be staying at the Beach Club. But, we
highly recommend CBR for families of 4 (or 5 when you have a child
under 3!). I am a vegeterian and while my husband and kids aren't,
they are used to meals where veggies rule and meat is an occasional
side dish. I was disappointed with the minimal choices of vegeterian
fare. Vegetables in general seem in short supply all over "the world".
Every one of us began to crave real, fresh vegetables in the worst
way. When we go back this September, we will bring some snacking
veggies with us so we don't have this problem. Overall, we enjoyed
the resort a lot and recommend it highly." (September, 1999)

"The room
was very clean. We stayed in Aruba across the lake from the restaurants.
We received a map at check in and had no problem finding our room.
One very good restaurant but expensive. The others are pretty much
fast food but very good and reasonable. The bar by the pool serves
watered down drinks. We had a great time here. The room was clean
with plenty of room. We loved the atmosphere and transportation
was a breeze. We are going back again this year and will stay at
the Caribbean Resort again." (Aug 27-Sep 1st 2000) Pete Lintner
"The Caribbean
beach is first resort we stayed at on our first trip to Disney.
It had only been open a short time and it was great. The food court
has typical fast food The resturant was good. Good prime rib. I
loved the faint sounds of the Reggae music and enjoyed many a frozen
Bannana drink at the Bananna Cabanna near the main pool. We stayed
there for about seven or eight more times and then it started to
look very worn. The cement near the pool was cracked and stuck up
so far I tripped over it. For the next two times we went we stayed
at other places. The Coronado Springs. There you were either close
to the pool or the food. Not both. The place is huge. It is a convention
center and it feels that way. We wouldn't go back even though the
food was better than most. The next place we stayed was the Contempory
Resort. The room had just been done over and we watched the fireworks
from our balcony every night from the tenth floor. The food was
great. ! Went to Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steak House. But
it was way too expensive for us. Good for a really special occasion.
So this year on 4/30 we are heading back to Caribbean Beach and
hope they have done some upgrading here. It is a great place with
a real island feel." (1990,91,92,93,94,96.97) Denise
"My family
and I stayed for a whole week at Carribean Beach resort 3/2001 -
this was the 2nd time there since 1998. We love the pools, gardens,
beaches, hammocks and friendly people. Especially Mary Calkins-Nelson.
She treated us like royalty!! Her creative washcloth animals, stuffed
animal gifts and tours of the grounds. We especially liked the bike
ride around the resort. We will be back again to enjoy the Carribean
feel and the Walt Disney World experience." (Tari - Red Creek,
NY)
"We've
been to Disney World numerous times, staying both on and off site.
Our favorite resort by far is the Caribbean. It's lovely to walk
through, plenty of water areas, decent sized rooms, and you can't
beat the Disney transportation system. It isn't fancy, but we don't
spend much time in the room and it's fine with us. The food court
can sound a lot like a school cafeteria at times when filled with
kids, but it's got something for everyone. The staff was polite
and helpful every time we were there and we're going back again
this year. We stayed in Trinidad North and hope to again. You get
your money's worth here." (2/01)
"I
stayed at carribean Beach when I went the first time. I was only
7 but I had a great time. The rooms were very nice and the eating
area was very nice also. It was very clean and had a wide verietiy
of things to eat. the pool was great (I was only 7 thoug)but my
parents enjoyed it. It is a great place to stay if you like the
beach. Now I am 13 years old and I am going back this year. We are
going to stay at Dixe Landings. I am so excited. We are going to
have a blast!!!" (2/01)
"I
stayed in the Caribbean Beach Resort Dec 3 - Dec 9, 2000. This hotel
is horrible. The floors where dirty and the towels where stained.
They did nothing for me even though I sent in a room request form
stating it was my anniversary and that I had been married at Disneyworld
6 years ago. I couldn't even get a king size bed. If you want to
stay in at cheaper property, stay outside the resort; you will get
a lot more for your money." (2/01)
"My
wife and I stayed at The Carribean Beach Resort for our Honeymoon
in June 2000. We will be going back June 2001, possible to the Port
Orleans Resort. The Animal Kingdom Resort looks nice but too expensive.
We thought the CB Resort was beautiful. Laundry facilities were
right down stairs from us and the pool was right out side which
was our view. The pool was too crowded during the day though. Room
service and cleaning crew were extremely friendly. We only had one
encounter with a lady when we called the front desk to ask a question.
She had a bit of an attitude as if we were bothering her. It also
rained almost every day." (6/00)
"I
went for my first time back in 1995 and stayed in the carribean
resort. I am now 15 but i was 11 the last time i went. I found the
refillable mugs useful and the breakfasts were good aswell. The
holiday was great but the fact that there are only double beds in
the room i stayed in.I am going in 26 days for 3 weeks this year."
George Hales
"We stayed at CBR
in 1998 - decided to treat ourselves to a Disney resort instead
of the less expensive off-property lodging like we'd always done
before. It was absolutley worth it - we'll never stay off property
again! The convenience of transportation to and from the parks,
the delivery service to our room for our purchases, and the overall
atmosphere of the resort was really great! We're going back in Oct
2000 and are planning on trying out Dixie Landings - I'm sure the
stay will be as excellent as CBR!!" 8/00
"Loved the Carribean
Beach, only thing I wasn't happy with is that 2 large adults can
not sleep in 1 double bed. had to have 1 adult and 1 child in each
bed." 8/00
"My family and I
stayed at CBR in 1996 and really enjoyed it. We had a great room
right on the beach with a hammock at our door step. My youngest
daughter, then 9, really enjoyed the theme pool with the slide.
It was very convenient to be near the food court, especially when
you needed that first cup of coffee. The island with the tropical
birds was beautiful as were all of the grounds. Would consider staying
again."
"I
just got back from Disney World two days ago. We stayed at the Caribbean
Beach Resort. I loved it. It was beautiful, always kept clean, and
all the employees were very nice. I would definitly stay there again!"
"I
stayed at the CBR and it was great. The ood court was great, big
and not too expensive. The rooms were big and it was great just
to take a walk inside the resort because it was so beautiful. Some
people say it's too big but I don't think so. Only the checking-in
was slow, but it wasn't too bad."
"In
September of 1997 we stayed at the CBR for our honeymoon. At first
I wasn't impressed. But after staying for a week, I really fell
for the place. Location was great, as well as service. We loved
it! We are taking our daughter to Disney this summer and staying
at the All-Star Movies. I can't wait. From what I have read, the
All-Stars seem to be worth the "economy" pricing!!!" Wendy
H.
"We
have visited orlando 3 times in the past few years starting summer
1994 where we stayed in Kissimee In 1996 we decided to treat ourselves
and stay at the carribbean beach resort , what a difference it was
brill the children could roam free and still be safe the atmosphere
was terrific . next was summer 1998 where we stayed at the all star
sports this was to great a smaller resort with everything on hand
especially macdonalds near. The bus services to the resorts are
one of the best things as they are so convienient and are plentyfull
xmas 200 is next and back to the all star resorts." Paul W
"My
husband and I just took our 19 month old girl to Disney World. We
have been to Disney many times but this was our first time staying
at a WDW resort. We highly recommend the Caribbean resort. We stayed
in Barbados - bldg. 13. It was like paradise. The staff was very
friendly. We enjoyed the food court just about everyday. I highly
recommend purchasing a beverage cup at the resort because you can
get free refills at the beverage island throughout your stay. We
will definitely return to the CBR sometime soon." - Jennifer
"Fall
'99 We (family of four 9 year old and 7 year old) stayed at Caribbean
Beach. The first visit to Disney for all of us! I can't say enough
about it. Wonderful service. The kids loved the resort as much as
the parks. Entertainment at night by the pool. Boat rides, bicycle
built for four, touring around the resort. Just a great vacation.
Highly recommended."
"I
stayed with my brother, mom and aunt in June of 1999 and it was
amazing. We stayed in the Martinique and that's a wonderful location
because it is close to the Old Port Royal (food court) and to the
bus stops. Aruba and Jamaica are just as close. The beaches are
lovely, being able to lie out on the hammocks at night and watch
the fireworks at Epcot is a real treat. I would recommend this resort
as definatly the best Moderate Resort and maybe the best resort
out of them all!"
"Me
and my husband stayed a weekend at The Caribbean Beach Resort. The
outdoors is breathtaking, but the furniture of our room (in Aruba),
was very old, the carpet was dirty, the bathroom seemed like if
we were in a cheap hotel, which was NOT the case, and we did not
like the food court which was too crowded."
""I
absolutely loved staying at Carribean Beach. It was sooooo_ much
fun! I would go back in an instant. The landscaping was so beautiful!
The pools were awesome, especially the main pool with the water
slide and the cannons. My whole family loved the food. Our favorite
breakfast were the cinnamon buns! Plus, the bikes that you could
rent were great!"
"My
husband and kids (age 4 and 5) stayed at Carribbean Beach in May
1997. The resort is huge. If you have young kids I highly suggest
you stay at Martinique. It is close to Port Royale, theme pool and
to bus stops. Search the web for a map or talk to the resort on
the phone to carefully select your location. Some areas are a long,
long way from everything. With the kids, I really liked the Food
Court at Port Royal. It served basic food and you could take it
to your room if you wished. The pool was a little cool for my liking
but the kids had a blast. Highly recommend it."
"Carribean
Beach Resort if FABULOUS!!!!!" Lisa
"My
family and I have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort for 13 years
in a row!! The hotel is awesome and we won't go anywhere else!!"
"I
stayed at the CBR in October of 1997. The walk from Jamaica to Old
Port Royale was breathtaking. My family enjoyed out stay there.
The food court came in handy when you had the munchies. However,
my family and I frequented most of the theme parks restraunts. We
look forward to our next trip to CBR in January 2001." -Susan
in NJ
"We
stayed at CBR 3/97 (Trinidad South), 3/99 (Barbados) and are going
back 10/00. This time we're taking Grandma, who's 71. When she's
not up for hours in the parks, I know she'll love relaxing around
the resort! BTW, something nice about Trinidad South, though it's
out of the way, it's the only island where you don't have to walk
through a parking lot to get to the bus stop."
"I
stayed in the CBR with my dad and brother and it was awesome! The
location was great and very convenient for us! The rooms were spacious
and accomodating! It was great and we plan on returning very soon...Jamaica
is an excellent place!"
"It
rocks, we loved it so much, we want to live there! PARADISE!! We
are coming back every year, hopefully staying in Jamaica!"
"My
girlfriend and i stayed at jamaica building 54, it was beautiful.
all these posted descriptions sum it up. the checkin staff was a
little incompetent and struggled with english a bit. we visited
the polynesian, yet prefer the ambiance of the cbr. it's huge yet
you never seem to mind walking, it's a paradise, and remarkable
that it's so affordable. the foliage is amazing, the atmosphere
is welcoming. we had to cross over the island often to get to the
main buliding. the island is beautiful, you walk under a cathedral
like mass of bamboo like plants. atop the plants was a huge flock
of birds chirping out of sight. the walkway was often so covered
in bird doo that we came to call going over the island 'running
the gauntlet'."
"My
husband and i stayed their for our honeymoon 10/99. we loved it,we
felt like we were really at the caribbean. one night we just stayed
at the hotel and listened to the reggae band playing. the scenery
was breath taking and the service was great. everyone was so nice
and helpful. in fact we loved it so much we're staying their again
when we go back for new years 2001." elecktra_101@yahoo.com
"I
went to the Caribbean last vacations and itīs the most wonderful
hotel I had seen and itīs so big, it impresses me." Marisol
"I
have stayed at The Carribean Beach Resort quite a few times and
I haven't had a single complaint, my family and I love it!"
"We
just returned from a trip to WDW, and we stayed at the Caribbean
Beach Resort. The hotel itself was beautiful as were the beaches
and grounds. I must say, my husband, friend and myself all thought
the food court was AWFUL!!! The eggs were powdered eggs and the
saugage was pink inside. And that was just one breakfast we had.
We ended up eating at the Contemporary's Chef Mickey, or at Disney
Quest, or at the Parks. We had a great time, and I look forward
to returning probably within the next 10 yrs. I live on the West
Coast in California, so we have Disneyland here. When we have children
and they are old enough, we will return. As for what resort we stay
at, who knows. They were all so awesome from what I saw and heard".
"I
have stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort 4 years". The food area
is wonderful! The pools are really nice and if you want a more active
resort, Caribbean Beach Resort is the place for you!"
"I
loved CBR. We stayed there in 1/99 and are staying again in 5/00.
IMHO there is no better place. It is so relaxing. Walking around
the lake at night, feeding the ducks and listening to steel drums...plus
sipping on a pina colada. NOTHING BETTER!!!!!" Andrea
"I
think that the Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is by far the best
resort to take your children to. I have four children, three girls
and a boy and they just loved it and i think it's well worth the
money and it is absoloutly awesome!"
"We
stayed in this resort in Jan 1999 and cannot falt it in anyway the
place is excellent, clean, and the staff very helpfull and friendly.
The facilities we tried them all bikes for all the family, boating,
plus speed boats and swimming pools for all the family and the grounds
are also very clean and spacious just what you would expect from
WDW.This was our third time in orlando. We stayed in international
drive the previous times, there is no comparison." babs.bill@cwcom.net
"Our
family stayed at the Caribbean Beach resort a few years back. We
can't say enough about it! It's a vacation within a vacation. It
is so relaxing. We would come back to the resort in the afternoon
to take a break from the parks. The kids really enjoyed the bikes,
boats and of course, the pools. The Disney castmembers (that's what
they call the employees) were very friendly and helpful. The room
was spacious and clean. Our family would highly recommend this resort.
It's a little pricey, but it's well worth it."
"I
stayed at the Carribbean Beach Resort in 1994 on my honeymoon. We
loved it! It was very peaceful, and the decor was very authentic.
There was lots to do--beaches, pools, bicycles, water craft, etc..."
"I have only stayed in
one Diney resort, and it was the Caribbean Beach. It was a very
nice place to stay. Our room was decorated nicely and fit right
along with the Carribean theme, along with all of the surroundings.
It wasn't an overly extravagant room, but it served its purpose
very well. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly.
There wasn't much to choose from as far as food at the resort, but
it was more than adequete for our needs. The bus system was very
nice, but not staying in any other resorts, I don't really know
how it stacks up to the others. The busses have stops at each of
the "islands" which makes it extremely convient to catch a bus.
The wait was long at times as the busses have to make a complete
circuit around the resort, but I don't think we waited for more
than 20 minutes for a bus, and these were very few and far between
and during peak park hours. Overall, our stay was great and we would
recomend this resort to anyone!"
"A couple of weeks ago
my family and i stayed at the caribbean beach resort and it was
awsome. It was the best vacation I ever went on. There were these
bikes there that sat 4 people. They were really great for exploring
the grounds. And the main pool was great. I give it an A+."
"We
have stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort and found it to be a pleasant
experience. Staff was alway helpful. We are coming back in July
(hot) but are looking forward to it. We are staying at the Port
Orleans. I have never had a bad exprience in Disney. The only thing
I found for improvement at Carr. Beach was the food court. They
should also have a resturant. Most of the time we went to another
resort to eat. Transportation from Resort to Resort makes this easy."
"Caribbean
Beach? One word: tranquil."
"I
have stayed in three other Walt Disney World Resorts but the Caribbean
Beach Resort was by far the best. The rooms were spacious and beautifully
decorated. Our room was one of the farthest from Old Port Royale
but proved little inconvenience. The walk to and from our room was
breathtaking with gorgeous flowers and white sand beaches. The food
good and the pools were also nice. This is one of the best hotels
because it has so many activities and things to do. You are a very
short distance from restaurants, shopping, a beach, pools, and a
marina. Plus the bus service was very efficient with little wait.
I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for an affordable
and relaxing hotel experience."
"I
stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort back in 97` and I loved it!
It was like your own private paradise. The employees are very nice
and the food is great and the landscaping is absolutely beautiful!Being
from California we have Disneyland but it dosen`t compare to Florida`s
Disney World!"
"CBR
- any resort that rakes the sand each morning has to be a well kept
and pleasant resort to stay in. We did 10 days in 1997 and will
again in 1999. It's the best. :-)" Marcy
"If
you stay at Caribbean Beach Resort, make sure you ask for a room
near Old Port Royale if you don't enjoy walking. It can be a 10-15
minute walk from the farthest rooms to the food court and shops
on Old Port Royale."
"We
just got back from a 5 night stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort.
We had an absolutely wonderful time. Even though this resort priced
at about double of many hotels located outside of Disney World,
it was worth every penny! Disney World property is so large, that
we were very thankful that we decided to stay on site at a Disney
hotel. During our visit, a lot of construction was underway in both
Lake Buena Vista & Kissimmee, so after getting stuck in traffic
while looking for an off-site restaurant it was nice to go back
to the peace and quiet of the Caribbean Beach Resort. I wasn't to
impressed with the restaurant choices within the hotel, especially
for breakfasts. I must commend the entire staff at the hotel was
friendly and very helpful. Our room could have used a little refurbishment
and it looked a bit worn, but everything was spotless. Room size
is also good in this property, with 2 adults & 2 children we
never felt cramped. The grounds of the resort are very calming &
relaxing. The landscaping is beautiful, and the fragrant smells
of flowers outside our room was very welcoming. Each afternoon I
looked forward to lounging in one of the many hammocks located on
their white sand "Caribbean" beaches. This was a great quiet place
for adults, while the pool areas are much louder with children."
"The
Caribbean Beach Hotel is the best disney hotel that I have ever
stayed at. The resort area is beautiful to walk around, and the
scenery is magnificent. I have been to Walt Disney World 4 times
in 3 years. The people that work at the Caribbean Hotel are nice
and helpful. This is one of the greatest Disney Hotel resorts."
"Just got back from a stay
at the CBR. Had a great time, and found all the amenities more than
acceptable. The atmoshere is very upbeat, and for kids the breakup
of the different islands kept the "clutter" down quite a bit. Would
recommend Jamaica as an island to choose."
