You've had a long day at the parks...you're tired and weary...the
kids are whinging...you walk up to the door of your room and can
hear voices inside...you walk into the room & the TV is on...the
plush toys you left on the bed are now sat in front of the TV having
a tea party...that's Mousekeeping!!
Disney Housekeepers are well known to rearrange toys into funny
situations, or make swans out of towels. Here are some guests' experiences
of 'Mousekeeping'...

"We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort from Oct. 22 - Nov.
1, 2003 and I would like to say it was very enjoyable. Our room
attendent was Michele Higgins and she was the best. She made our
stay enjoyable. She would greet us in the morning with a great big
smile and a cheery hello. Our room was different every day. She
would put things in the window and make animals out of towels and
face cloths. I will surley be going back to the Caribbean Beach
again next year just to see Michele.
I also have to say that Michele does things that other attendents
don't. When she had a day off the attendent that took her place
didn't do half the things she did in fact the other attendent did
the bare minimum." Jean C
"In August 2000, we stayed at the Grand Floridian. My sister
and I bought two large stuffed tigers from the Animal Kingdom. We
also had bought Disney characters with magnet hands and feet. So,
our housekeeper hung the magnet characters from the fan, each holding
on to one another by their magnetic hands and feet. She put the
two tigers at the bottom, looking like they were fighting each other
to get to the characters! It was funny, and we would surprise her
with little "motionless" scenes of our own. "
"On our last trip to WDW, we left the room early one morning
for our character breakfast. After breakfast, we returned to the
room to pick up our stroller, bags, etc before heading to one of
the parks for the day. When we opened the door we were surprised
to see that my sons' stuffed toys had been arranged in the stroller.
Mickey had a baseball my son's baseball hat and sunglasses on and
a guidemap under his arm. Every day my kids were excited to see
what was waiting in the room. This is a great example of what a
special place WDW really is!!"

"While on
our honeymoon (May 2002) our "mousekeeper" at the Port Orleans-Riverside
hotel surprised us after a long day at the parks. We bought the
bride and groom Mickey hats and left them at the room for the day.
When we returned we were surprised to find the wedding hats propped
up in the window ledge on top of "heads" made out of towels. A rose
that a worker at the Haunted Mansion gave me on a tour of the MK
was in between. It was a beautiful surprise and a great way to end
a great day." Lara R.

"Both these animals (the snake in the Revo sunglasses & the
peacock with the dolls) were created by our room attendent on board
the Disney Wonder during Christmas 2000. His name is Jaime, he is
from the Phillipines, and has a daughter the same age as mine, shown
her in the pictures, along with my son. He is on board the ship
for six months at a time, so misses his children tremendously. He
pampered us royally, from taking care of all of us being severly
sick the first night, to making just about everything truly wonderful."

"Here is a photo of our window at All-Star Sports, Nov/Dec
2000. Each time we purchased a stuffed animal, our Mousekeeper would
add it to the display she created in the window! Notice how she
put a towel over the back of a chair to create a "snow" scene for
Mickey and Minnie!" Donna B.
"We stayed
at the all-star music resort in november 2000 ,we had a great time, every
night when we got back to our room we always had a suprise in our
window all the little toys we bought at the parks would all be there
to greet us,our face flannels and boxed soaps would also be arranged
differently by the wash basin and the tv would be on ,it was nice
to feel so much effort was made to welcome us back every night to
our room after a busy day at the parks." Maureen O.
