Waiting in Line at WDW

Here are some ideas to keep you occupied while stood in line, or sat waiting for a parade or show at WDW.

Why bother waiting in line, use FASTPASS!!!

Start up a conversation with the people stood next to you in line, many new friends are made this way.

Take a book with you to the parks, or maybe a handheld game.

Listen to some music on a portable CD player or walkman.

People Watch!

Take along the The Ultimate Disney Trivia Book 4 & take it in turn asking questions, you may even get others joining in!

Take a small bottle of bubbles for the kids to blow.

Play I-Spy

"Look for hidden Mickey's while in line or in staging areas. There is a hidden mickey at every attraction and throughout the parks."

Sitting waiting for shows & parades

Take a pad of paper, along with some markers, pencils and pens for playing games like tic-tac-toe and hangman.

Take a travel game - monopoly, battleship, etc - or a pack of cards.

Take along a sticker book or coloring book.

If you're feeling brave, start a sing-along!

Some games to play

Start with any Disney character - Simba for example. The next person has to think of a Disney character that begins with the last letter of 'Simba', such as 'Aladdin'. Whoever goes next needs a character that starts with N. You may not use the same name twice in a game

One player thinks of a famous person, place or thing. Everyone else gets to ask the player 20 questions, which must be answered "yes" or "no." For example, "Does it know how to read?" is a valid question, but "What's its favorite book?" is not. Whoever guesses correctly gets a turn to think up something.

Each person hums a Disney tune & the others have to guess the tune & which film it was from.

One person draws (or tries to draw!) a Disney character on a pad of paper, the others have to guess who it is.

"Here is a game I would play. You need a piece of paper for each person. You have 3 minutes to write down 10 disney charachters.(or any other subject) You get a1 point for every charachter that no one else has down on their paper. If someone else has it, you cross it out. The person with the most points wins." Rachel

"Before leaving home I would write down lots of lyrics from disney songs and have them on separate pieces of paper. Then I would give them to everybody one at a time (no more than one person has a piece of paper at one time) then they would sing the lyrics until someone got it right or everyone gave up. Of course if the name is in the song I say blah blah blah, or some other nonsense words!!!" Carroll Payne
