Cafe Orlando.
Step inside the Cafe and you’ll feel like you’re entering the legendary
Berry Gordy’s recording studio. Spinning over your head is the world’s
largest record: a 28-foot version of the Jackson 5’s hit single "ABC."
Chill out with a drink in the Big Chill Lounge, Orlando’s coolest hot
spot offering specialty drinks and top shelf liquor, finger foods and
desserts in a retro lounge atmosphere. The lounge includes an outside
patio dining area for up to 45 people and boasts one of the most dramatic
and spectacular views in all of UNIVERSAL Orlando.
Walking through this tribute to the Motor City Sound you’ll encounter
life-like hand painted statues of The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin
Gaye, Smokey Robinson and The Jackson 5. Follow the Motown Timeline
featuring historical items tracing the label’s past from the ‘50s to
the present. Climb the Stairway of Success, leading to the Promenade
dining area, which literally takes you up a ladder of gold records achieved
by Motown artists. Browse through two “Shop Around Shops” jam-packed
with unique Motown memorabilia, novelty items and much more.
You’ll explore the proud history of Motown through an incredible collection
of memorabilia from gold records to authentic costumes, including:
The Supremes’ light blue silk skirts and blouses with handmade silk
flowers designed for their first Copacabana performance in 1965.
Handwritten lyrics to ”For Once In My Life.” “Touch Me In The Morning”
and “Yester You, Yester Me, Yester Day.”
Martha & The Vandellas “Mod look” costumes designed as traffic signs
in red, black and white vinyl with coordinated custom boots, circa
1968.
An actual telegraph The Beatles sent the Motortown Revue Tour signed
by John, Paul, George and Ringo, circa 1964.
Michael Jackson’s historic "Billie Jean" costume from the Motown
25th Anniversary Television Special in 1983. Includes a black sequined
