Bob Marley - A Tribute to Freedom

The incredible music, and even more remarkable persona, of Bob Marley helped to introduce the style of music known as Reggae to an international audience, and forever cement it into the mainstream consciousness.

Now Bob Marley - A Tribute To FreedomSM pays homage to the man known as the King of Reggae. This authentic replica of Marley's home in Kingston, Jamaica is a place where you can immerse yourself in the music, heritage and lyrical imagery of Bob Marley, while enjoying some of the Caribbean cuisine of Jamaica.

From the tile roof and green wooden window shutters outside, to the meat patties, jerk chicken and red stripe fondue inside, everything is authentic down to the last detail. The melodic sounds of live Reggae performed nightly in the open-air courtyard's gazebo stage complete the illusion. Many design details have been supervised by the Marley family themselves, to ensure accuracy. Inside you'll even find a tech booth reminiscent of the recording studios where he recorded his many hits.

Perhaps more so than any other musician, the force of Marley's ideas and the enduring themes of his lyrics (social justice and harmony, racial equality, the resilience of the human spirit) have enabled his work to transcend mere music and popular culture. Bob Marley's Reggae music brings a spiritual and social message that applies to people of nations around the world. In the years since his all too early death from cancer in 1981, at the age of 36, his music and popularity has continued to grow. To this day, Marley's genius transcends racial, religious, and social-class boundaries, expressing a message of One Love through music.

Bob Marley - A Tribute To Freedom is truly a one-of-a-kind venue, and you'll only find it at Universal Studios CityWalk. Come experience the tastes, the aromas, the music and the spirit of Jamaica - in this very special tribute to one of the world's most charismatic and best loved performers.
