Pat O'Brien's Orlando is an exact replica of the landmark Pat O'Brien's Bar in New Orleans that has been entertaining Louisiana natives and visitors alike for 65 years. Pat O'Brien's is renowned as the birthplace of dueling pianos entertainment, the "flaming fountain" patio, and the world-famous "Hurricane," the bar's signature drink full of Caribbean spiced rum. The original Pat O'Brien's was established December 3, 1933, in the French Quarter of New Orleans. After Charlie Cantrell joined Pat O'Brien, the business moved to its present location on St. Peter Street in December 1942.
The historical building was built in 1791 as a private home that became the first Spanish theatre in the United States. It was later purchased by the Deflechie family and was their private home until purchased by Pat O'Brien.
All the original elements have been reproduced in exacting detail at Universal Studios CityWalk in Orlando. Outside, you'll find the identical Spanish-style architecture seen at the St. Peter Street location in New Orleans. Inside, you'll find all the recognizable elements that make Pat O'Brien's so unique. From the neighborhood "corner bar" atmosphere of The Main Bar, with its beer steins hanging from the rafters; to the brick walls and garden setting (complete with famous flaming fountain) of the open-air Patio Bar, which seats over 200 people; to the lively Piano Bar where you'll find entertainers performing daily and nightly on two copper-topped baby grand pianos - if you didn't know better, you'd swear you were having the time of your life right in the heart of The Big Easy.
Of course, man does not live by drink alone… and at Pat O'Brien's you'll find a menu of delicious New Orleans specialties served from 11:00 am to 1:00 each day. For a taste of real New Orleans, try such Cajun and Creole offerings as Alligator Bites, Jambalaya, Crawfish Nachos and more. The house specialty is Pat O's Hot Wings -- the best in Orlando -- marinated in our own Bloody Mary mix!
And don't forget to save room for dessert. You'll melt into Pat O'Brien's Bread Pudding, while the Strawberry Hurricane Cheesecake is sure to blow you away! Pat O's also offers a convenient walk-up window, serving refreshing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to CityWalk passersby.
