Typhoon Lagoon Map
"A furious storm once roared cross the sea
Catching ships in its path, helpless to flee
Instead of a certain and watery doom
The winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon."
For as long as anyone could remember, the quaint thatch-roofed
village had nestled along the shores of the sparkling lagoon, in
the shadows of a great volcanic mountain. Then came the 20th century
with its cruise ships, and tourists and the Placid Palms Resort...a
special little place for lucky vacationers each year. The great
storm, however, changed everything...a furious, unrelenting typhoon
catching a small fleet of ships by surprise, and tossing them about
like toy boats for one terrifyng hour. But in the storm's wake was
left a remarkable scene. A surfboard had penetrated completely through
a huge tree. A small boat had blown through the roof of one building.
A great buoy had crashed through the roof of still another. The
Placid Palms Resort was now the Leaning Palms, almost ready to topple
over at any moment. A small harbour had been cut off from the sea,
trapping an overturned boat and thousands of colorful fish, uh...plus
a few sharks along the way. Nothing, however, topped the sight of
the shrimp boat, "Miss Tilly", impaled precariously on
the peak of the great volcanic mountain. To this day, the mountain
tries vainly to dislodge its unwelcome burden with an enormous geyser
of water every half hour. Well, what nature has done is a little
redecorating. The inhabitants were left with the most extraordinary
assortment of waterfalls, rapids, pools, surf and all around wetness
the world has ever seen. The once sleepy resort had been turned
into Typhoon Lagoon.
Twisting tides, roaring rapids, wonderful waterways, and relaxing
rivers await you at Typhoon Lagoon. If fish had an amusement park,
this would be it, because Typhoon Lagoon is overflowing with the
wettest, wildest attractions. Whether you are navigating the nine
exhilarating water slides and streams, conquering the world's largest
artificially created waves, or snorkeling with sharks, Typhoon Lagoon
promises a wonderful water adventure for everyone.

Reviews
& Tips
"Typhoon Lagoon is the best waterpark in Orlando. If
you were looking for a cheaper alternative to Discovery Cove, minus
the Swimming with Dolphins, Typhoon Lagoon is it! So relaxing,
so much fun." Jonathan (Belfast, N.I.)
" I recomend using water shoes in the wave pool this way you cant
scrape your feet on the botom of the pool, and for anyone scared
to go in the wave pool because of the rought cement on the bottom,
this is just a chance you have to take- Go in or stay out."
"Typhoon Lagoon is definitely the better of the two waterparks. My
husband & I could spend all day in the wave pool it was a blast!" -minneapolis,
mn
"When we visited Typhoon Lagoon, I left my pocketbook under
my chair, and it was stolen. I strongly recommend renting a locker
for the day, so the same thing doesn't happen to you." -Cheryl
"Don't sit on the floor of the pool when the big wave comes.
You will lose vast amounts of skin on the non slip (very rough floor).
I have seen so many badly grazed children and adults there."
"Typhoon Lagoon in my opinion is the best of the two water
parks. Excellent fun for all the family. The giant wave pool is
fantastic." Kerrie(Warwick)
"Typhoon Lagoon is fun for the whole family. Older kids would
probably enjoy Blizzard Beach instead because they have more daring
rides. But for a family with younger kids, Typhoon Lagoon is a good
choice. Have a splash!" Laura
"The wave pool is a must. It is great fun. Also, have a go
at the snorkelling (the water is a bit chilly though!), Rach."
"Typhoon Lagoon was amazing! I'm 16 and i went with my parents
and had an awesome time! The rides are crazy , something suitable
for everyone! I enjoyed the Lazy River , it's a perfect way to relax.
I would recommend it to EVERYONE! I'm definately going back this
year!" Natasha, (Belfast)
