Seniors at WDW

 

Walt Disney World is often seen as a place for children, but there is plenty to occupy older visitors, here are just a few ideas-

Make priority seatings for many of the fine restaurants throught WDW, for a real treat have dinner at Victoria & Albert's.

Try one of the many backstage tours offered, see behind the scenes at Epcot, visit the utilidors in the Magic Kingdom, or learn more about steam trains.

There are six golf courses at WDW & two miniature golf courses to enjoy.

WDW is full to bursting with shops to enjoy, for something different visit the shops at Epcot's World Showcase, the Boardwalk & Downtown Disney.

Favourite attractions of seniors include - The Hall of Presidents, Haunted Mansion, Carousel of Progress, The Magic of Disney Animation, Great Movie Ride, Beauty & the Beast, Festival of the Lion King, Living with the Land, Living Seas, World Showcase paviions.

Fishing is available at various locations in WDW.

A must see is Cirque du Soleil at Downtown Disney Westside.

Treat yourself to a luxurious treatment at the Grand Floridian Spa.

Dance the night away at Atlantic Dance at the Boardwalk, the dance hall recalls the charm & glamour of a 30s dance hall.

Get away from the crowds & have a great view of the fireworks on a special cruise, see the birthdays page for more details.

For seniors who have difficulty walking in the parks, electric scooters can be hired for the day, see the disability pages for more details.

Visit the Grand Floridian where you can have afternoon tea, or just take in the relaxed atmosphere sitting in the lobby, listening to the piano playing.

Water lovers can visit one of the three water parks, River Country is the most easy going relaxed water park.
