"We stayed
7 nights in a concierge lagoon view room at the Yacht Club July
4 -11, 2003. The view was wonderful! The concierge staff could not
have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms were fresh and clean
with a spacious balcony. The maid staff was great and always left
animal towels, treats and sometimes notes in the room. The hotel
is gorgeous and very convenient to Epcot, MGM, and the Boardwalk.
Beaches and Cream was fun and the pool was to die for. Even my 2
year old loved the pool and the kiddie play area. Beaches and Cream
was the only restaurant at the hotel that we dined in and it was
very good and lots of fun. The concierge lounge provided wonderful
continental breakfasts and snacks throughout the day. In the evening
there was wine and cordials along with hot appetizers, snacks, and
deserts. They even had special foods just for the kids (pb&j sandwiches,
goldfish crackers, pudding, and gummy worms just to name a few).
I love this resort! It's my favorite on Disney property." (7/03)

"The theming
of the Beach Club Resort is amazing. In true Disney fashion, the
resort is designed to transport you to a beach resort on the east
coast. We lived on Cape Cod 15 years ago, it was a nice reminder
of that time. Our room was upgraded at check in to a water view
with a full balcony on the second floor, I ate breakfast on the
balcony facing the Boardwalk. We had ducks and bunnies on the grounds
and once saw an alligator on the way to the parking lot.
Having said that, I had a few problems:
1. The bathroom had mold.
2. The music from the Atlantic Club was quite loud and kept us awake.
3. The bus service to Animal Kingdom was awful. We waited for almost
an hour for the bus to appear and then had to suffer through the
many stops to the other resorts and to Typhoon Lagoon. Overall,
it took over an hour and a half to get there. From that point on
I drove.
Would I stay there again? I don't think so. My daughter would like
to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and I want to stay at the Wilderness
Lodge at Christmas. Is it worth the $329 price tag? Not really,
but you're not just paying for a room." (6/03) Yvette Christensen
"After spending
a lot of time researching where we thought we would most enjoy staying
at WDW, we chose the Beach Club and could not have been happier.
At check-in I told the castmember that it was our anniversary and
our son's 4th birthday and he happily upgraded our room to one with
a great view. Right after our bags were delivered they arrived with
a special card and balloons for our son and a pin for our aniversary!
We loved the pool and plan to spend more time on our next trip just
relaxing around the hotel as it was such a nice one. We did think
that the room needed some refreshing and we had a closet door that
never was repaired during our stay but the trip was wonderful and
we can't imagine staying any other place when we return next year.
We liked beaches and cream." (5/03) Jane Gaither
"As a 20 year
old blond female, I am used to sub-standard treatment most hotels
I stay at, simply because they do not take me seriously, but this
was not the case at any Disney Resort. Upon arrival at the Beach
Club we went to check in and they originally tried to stick us with
a standard view even though we paid for a Water View. Even though
the resort was full, the Hostess named Georgette was exeptionally
helpful and moved some people around to accomodate us, though the
room wouldn't be ready until 6:00 pm. We didn't mind since we were
going to a park anyways. the room was breathtaking. It was immaculately
clean, and had enough towels and glasses for all three of us. The
staff was very friendly throughout our stay, and the pool was awesome.
I would highly recommend this resort to anyone going to Walt Disney
World, with or without kids. It's amazing. I only ate at Beaches
and Cream, and they were decent, nothing special though. Loved it!!!"

"We have stayed
here many times and really enjoyed it. This trip was a disappointment!
We stayed on the concierge level. The food was not replaced and
often there was little left if you arrived at the tail end of the
snack period. One afternoon we only saw goldfish and dorito type
crackers left to eat! There was no valet service to take our bags
up to our room upon arrival. We had to wait for someone to become
available. Our room was not cleaned one day even though we were
out from 9:00am till 3:30pm. We had to call to have it cleaned for
us. Hotel said they were busy with alot of rooms to clean that day.
Poor excuse for the money spent on our room! All in all, disney
appears to be cost cutting across the board and it shows. I am reluctant
to book this hotel again. Love the yacht club steakhouse. Beaches
and cream is no longer open early in the am. Seems many disney restaurants
have closed (grand floridian cafe - no dinner available). Less selection
this year and you need priority seating for a Friday or Saturday
night. Love Cape May Cafe for dinner - great selection of adults
and kids." (11/02)
"This was
our big summer vacation with our three kids and my niece, ages 2,
8, 12, and 16. The Beach Club was beautiful and I loved the fact
that it was a short walk from Epcot! The kids loved Stormalong Bay
and the slide. My two year old loved playing in the sandy beach
area with the other "little" disney guests. The only problem I have
with the hotel was that it was noisy. Our room over looked the water
and we could see the boats traveling back and forth to Epcot. Each
time the boats approached the bridge they would blow their horns
twice. Needless to say, those afternoon naps my two year old needed
were difficult. Also, the traffic in the hallways was always noisy
and the walls seemed unusually thin. We could here the conversations
in the room next door, and in the hallways. I have stayed at a v
alue resort and several moderate resorts and never had this problem
before. Also, I didn't like the fact that the only place to get
coffee in the $10.00 mugs we purchased was in Beaches and Cream
soda shop. It is very small and always crowded in the mornings.
I would have liked for them to have other areas for coffee. I will
more than likely stay there again in the future, but not for seven
days! I need more sleep than I was able to get there." (7/02)

"I must say
I am in the minority here. I took my family to the beach resort
last may and was very unimpressed. I felt the rooms were very small,
no view to speak of, and a crane outside my window all for twice
the price of the ritz carlton in cancun. The resort itself had a
great feel it was just for the price my family was paying I expected
a nicer room." (5/01) dave weathers
"We have been
to the Yacht Club twice in the Five times we have been to Disney
World. In fact, we are going to go there again this August. We have
tried all other Epcot Resorts, and found this particular one to
be a perfect compromise between the Boardwalk and Beach Club Resorts.
Our room was, both times, located on the Concierge level with a
lagoon view. The room was very bright and clean, and the cast members
who cleaned it each day were great - they created, on more than
one occasion - animals such as puppies out of towels and stickers.
It is not so much that the dining at the Resort itself is unbelievable,
but the fact that, due to the hotel's central location, it is within
walking distance of both the many restaraunts on the Boardwalk along
with the multicultural foods that are offered in the many different
countries in EPCOT. Also, the Resort has a dock for the Friendships
to come and take you to MGM in around ten minutes, so you are also
able to easily eat there. I personally feel that the Yacht Club
is the best resort in Disney property. With great rooms, exceptional
service, walkind distance to both EPCOT and MGM, and views of IllumiNations
and Fantasmic from your balcony, not to mention the largest pool
in all of Florida (three acres), you simply cannot go wrong."

"the best
of everything! we have stayed at the grand floridian a number of
times, but find ourselves always ending up in epcot for dinner.
the yacht club gave us the best location for access to not only
epcot, but the boardwalk nightlife, and an easy boat ride to mgm.
not to mention walking distance to fantasia gardens mini golf! the
room was perfect as always although we never seem to spend much
time there. too much to do and see! ill never get tired of disney
world. grea t fun and food. allways spotless and staff treats you
like family! the cellar in epcots canadian land is the best food
ive ever had!!!! perfect steak, perfect wine, perfect dessert! friendly
staff. ill always go there first! the buffet in germany is to die
for too!" (12/00) Daniel Meyr
"i have been
to WDW 3 times and have stayed at the yacht club everytime. it is
the best. my kids especially enjoyed the slide that runs into the
pool.the breakfast buffet was great. everything about it is perfect.
i even met jake plummer, vinny testevertie, and jeff blake all NFL
qb's there for the QB challenge." (7/01) patrick
"This hotel
was perfect. It was immaculate, and we had a great view of the pool
and Boardwalk across the lake. The rooms were spacious and beautiful,
and the room service was great. They kept sufficient towels and
the beds were always made bright and early. It was great. The food
there was superb. They had a big selection for everyone. I especially
liked the Beaches and Cream Soda Shop (the best hamburgers and ice
cream ever). If you're going to Disney World, you HAVE TO stay at
the Beach Club. It's a beautiful atmosphere with a great location.
If you payed me a billion dollars I wouldnt stay anywhere else.
It's got the best pool, food, and central location. When I was there,
it was so nice to wake up early and walk across to the Boardwalk's
Bakery and get a bite to eat. Then spend the day at a park and come
back for a short swim. They also had this really great water slide;
it was so much fun. It's the perfect hotel. The Grand Floridian
was too dressy. The Beach Club, however, was the perfect setting.
It's very central. You could walk to Epcot or hop a ferry to MGM
or take a bus to anywhere in Disney. All the other hotels aren't
modern enough, or clean enough, or are too formal, but the Beach
Club has the perfect atmosphere It's the best there. DO NOT stay
anywhere else - this place beats them all." (4/01) d. m. r.
"UPDATE TO
MY PROBLEM THAT IS POSTED. AS I STATED I WENT AS HIGH AS GUEST SERVICES
MANAGEMENT. THE RESULTS HAVE BEEN GREAT. 1ST. MY PHONE HAS NOT STOPPED,
NOR HAS THE FOLLOW UP LETTERS. MANAGEMENT IS TRYING THEIR HARDEST
TO GET ME TO COME BACK SO THEY CAN PUT THE MAGIC BACK IN ME. I HAVE
NOT MADE MY MIND UP YET. HOWEVER IT IS HARD NOT TO GIVE IT A TRY
WHEN YOUR MAIL BOX GETS FULL WITH INFORMATION REQUESTING YOU TO
COME BACK. I WAS REALLY SURPRISED THAT THEY ARE RESPONDING LIKE
THIS. WE ARE IN DECEMBER AND THE CALLS STILL COME IN AND THE MAIL
STILL ARRIVES. DISNEY REALLY DOES TAKE COMPLAINTS SERIOUS. IF YOU
HAVE A PROBLEM TAKE THE TIME TO TAKE IT TO THE TOP. DISNEY IS BIG
BUT THEY DO TAKE EVEYTHING SERIOUS. JUST WANTED TO UPDTE."

"We have stayed
three times in the last two years at these resorts and find them
to be our favorites. We have three children ages 4,6 and 11 and
they love the large interconnecting pools between these resorts.
they have a sandy play area for small children and a large flume
slide for our older two. When we stay at these resorts we are within
walking distance of Epcot and there are boat services to MGM studios
(and Epcot if you prefer over woalking) and bus service to Disneyworld
and Epcot. Also, directly across from The Beach Club and Yacht Club
hotel is Disney Boardwalk with several shops, ESPN Zone and restaurants.
In a typical day we can go to Disney in the morning, come back to
the hotel and let the kids swim. In the afternoon they take a nap,
and at night we walk to Epcot to see the fireworks show. It is a
wonderful day for the kids and keeps them from getting too hot and
tired." (8/01) Jeff
"THE HOUSEKEEPING
STAFF NEEDS TO BE RE-TRAINED. OUR SHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED, THE STAFF
IS INFORMED TO ONLY CHANGE THE BED SHEETS EVERY THIRD DAY. WE HAD
A GRAPE JUICE SPILL AND THE BED WAS MADE FOR THREE DAYS LIKE THIS.
I HAD TO CHANGE THE SHEET MYSELF. THE STAFF DID NOT LEAVE ENOUGH
TOWELS THROUGH OUT OUR STAY. WE HAD A PART OF FIVE AND THEY ONLY
LEFT SET UPS FOR FOUR. OUR ROOM WAS ON THE FIRST FLOOR, GOOD LOCATION
BUT IN NEED OF REPAIRS. THE BATH ROOM NEEDS TO BE REPAINT E D, RUST
IS ON THE DOOR ETC. THE STAFF ALSO DID NOT MOP THE FLOOR THE WHOLE
TIME WE WERE THERE. THE ABOVE WAS ALL REPORTED TO MANAGEMENT AT
THE TIME WE LEFT. I ALSO TOOK THIS AS HIGH AS MANAGEMENT OF GUEST
SERVICES. BE VERY CAREFULL IF YOU GO AND THE CONSTRUCTION IS STILL
ON, YOU MAY PAY TOP DOLLAR AND HAVE TO LOOK AT A CRANE AND WORK
CREW. THE ONLY MAJOR PROBLEM WAS HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES AND WE DID
NOT GET OUR ROOM UNTIL 6:00 P.M.
dining: GREAT, SLOW AT TIMES BUT GOOD overall: MANAGEMENT NEEDS
TO WORK ON HOUSEKEEPING." (7/01) KIM DAVIS
"This was
our first time staying at the YC. We were on the concierge floor.
The room was VERY clean, we were in room 5174. The staff from the
time we parked our car till be went to the fifth floor was GREAT.
The concierge desk, I can't remeber names, but each and every one
of these women always made me and my son feel like we were the only
guest on that floor. What an experience to be pampered and treated
the way we were.
The yatchsman steakhouse is the BEST not to metion the Yacthsman
Gally was equally as good for lunch. I just mentioned tonight to
my son I wish I was eating there. Chef Thad met with us for 1 hr,
(my son is going to culinary school) Kathleen arranged that for
us. My son learned alot from his talk and so didn't his mom.
I am not sure I can stay at any other resort. Everything about it
is just FANTASTIC!" (8/01) Gail Teebagy
"My family
and I have stayed at Yacht and Beach Club all four times we've been
to Disney World, and we absolutely love it! It just has such a relaxing
and fun feel to it! It's also in a very convenient place, within
walking distance to Epcot and nearby MGM Studios. It would take
a lot to get me to stay anywhere else."
"My husband and i stayed at the yacht club May 2000 on our
honeymoon. It was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves to the limit and
plan to return real soon." flowers@gulftel.com
"I have stayed many, many times at Walt Disney World and by
far the best hotel is the Yaut Club Resort. The rooms accomidations
were great, the mini-bar was perfect at night for a quick snack.
The gounds are beatiful and the have an excellent pool with a sand
bottom and a ship-reck water slide. The night life was fun as well,
a very short walk from the Boardwalk Hotel which had a great, lively
atmosphere. **Try the Mickey Mouse Waffles for breakfast, with strawberries
and cream--it's the best!**"
"We stayed
at the Yacht Club Resort and it was really really nice. Our only
complaint was the first night they made a mistake and put us in
a smoking room. But the next day the even moved our bags to a better
room and got a discount "
"My mother,
daughter, and I stayed at the Beach Club for the last week of May
1999. Our 4th floor, standard view room (4102,I think) balcony allowed
us to view Illuminations each night without the crowds!!! We ate
many meals at Beaches & Cream. The burgers and ice cream are superb,
and so is the price. Stormalong Bay and walking to Epcot made this
resort our favorite, so far (the Grand Floridian is on our list
in 2000)." twood@weatherford.isd.tenet.edu
"I was lucky
enough to stay at the Beach Club the year it opened. This was the
best hotel I had ever stayed in. In November of 1999, my husband
and I stayed at the All-Star Music for our honeymoon. This was his
first stay on property, and he loved it. The rooms were small, but
they were ok. The bus service was excellent."
"My husband and
I recently stayed at the Disney Beach Club with the Subaru party.
We were very impressed with all the the Beach club had to offer.
From helping us with in room child care for our precious new little
3 month old baby boy to the wonderfull accomodations and incredible
restaurant with the fun Disney characters visiting us every morning.
There were even many fun activities for our hard to please 13 year
old like the water slide and wonderful pool area. We would never
think of staying anywhere else on our next trip to Disney World."
Cheryl Shepherd. heycshep@aol.com
"The Yacht and
Beach Club is the best resort ever!!! It is perfect for any person,
group, family, couple, etc. I've stayed there many times, and it
just gets better and better!"
"My family and
I stayed there about 4 years ago, and it was unbelievable. The pool
was the greatest one I've ever seen. Plus, it was located close
to the parks, for example, we walked to Epcot, took a boat to MGM,
and a bus to MK. It was one of the two best resorts there (Wilderness
Lodge)."
"If your looking
for a hotel with the best pool, the Yacht & Beach Club is the
best!! It doesn't compare with any other hotel."
"I loved the resort
when I went in 1997. Every moment was wonderful. But the only problem
I had with it wad the prices with everything that wasn't included. They
were pretty high. But other than that I loved it."
"The beach club
is the best resort and has the best pool at disney. we are frequent
visitors there(at least twice a month). the prices are high , but
the service is great. you can get a great massage there, but the
salon is not that great. the tipping can get a little out of hand
there too."
