Disney's Wilderness Lodge Resort Reviews 2

"love the wilderness lodge and find transportation just as good and reliable as any other on site hotel."

"In 1999 our family stayed at the Wilderness Lodge with our best friends. Kids were 12 to 18 years of ages so we all enjoyed the breathtaking lobby and low key relaxing atmosphere. The resort itself was beyond words with the theme music and was a visual treat everywhere, even the pool area was just wonderful to see. We are planning the same trip in 2001 and want to try the new Animal Kingdom lodge as it is designed by the same firm. Next best thing to being on safari in Africa or so they say. But WL will be hard to beat!!!!!" Sandy at jeblazek@dellnet.com

"We are confirmed Wilderness Lodge enthusiasts. It's the best to come home to at the end of the day, it's lux but informal, the staff behave like it's their home and at Christmastime, it's nothing short of magical. I wish I could bottle the fragrance that permeates the Lodge--the combination of smoke and water and wood, just wonderful! We're staying at Dixie Landings for the first time this December (we're traveling with a group) and enjoying doing the research regarding that resort on the Net. But on our first night, you'll find us at the Wilderness Lodge for dinner at Artist Point, a walk around the pools and woods and hot chocolate in front of the fireplace by the Christmas tree."

"My girlfriend and I stayed at Disney's Wilderness Lodge in August 99. We loved it from the minute we walked in. The environment of the lodge is truely set in a Pacific Northwest atmosphere. If you can afford a delux resort, I highly recomend this one. The memory will last forever. Going to try Port Orleans in May 2000." smfrank@ilstu.edu

"I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge in December 1998, just after they put up the Christmas decorations. My family and I entered the lobby and my mother's jaw dropped! It was so beautiful! I am eager to visit the Lodge when it's normally decorated."

"Our Family spent four nights in Disney's Wilderness Lodge. It was wonderful!! The room we stayed in was beautiful. We really recommend to anyone vistiting WDW to stay there. They have great rates, beautiful accommedations, great food at the Wispering Canyon Cafe, and woderful service. It is simple to get to the different parks by bus, car, or boat. We hope you love this hotel as much as we did!!"

"Our family stayed at the Wilderness Lodge over the Christmas Holidays 1999. What a warm and wonderful place to stay at Christmastime! Although the weather was chilly and we couldn't use the outside facilities as we had hoped, we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the cast members, and the special attention they gave to making our stay memorable... it's a great family hotel with bunkbeds for the kids and great meals at Roaring Forks, Whispering Canyon and Artist Point! Do not miss the opportunity to basque in the magic of the Wilderness Lodge"

"My wife and I spent Dec.21st to Dec.24th at the Wildernesss Lodge in Disney World. When we checked in, and mentioned that the 23rd was our 25th anniversary, they upgraded our room to one that overlooked the geyser and lake for no extra charge. My wife has asked the we be the "flag family" that day so I got together with the ranger to surprise my wife with a special ring. After the flag ceremony (the view was great) and we were heading back down, I passed the ring to the ranger. Later at breakfast (on the house!) when he presented her with the flag ceremony certificate, he and Tigger (one of her favorites!) surprised her with the ring. It made for a very special moment to say the least. Later that evening when we returned from MGM, we found an icebucket, a bottle of champagne, and two champagne glasses along with an anniversary note from the cast! The Lodge was awesome with its huge Christmas tree and decorations, but we will never forget Ranger Stan, Rebecca, Matt and all the wonderful people who made our stay so unforgettable." Don and Jean Addington Jumping Branch, West Virginia

"My husband and I stayed for the first time at Wilderness Lodge in Oct. 1999 and absolutly loved it. We are already planning our next visit there and just can't wait. We stayed in room 4161 which overlooked the pool and we could see the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom from our balcony."

"I stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and it was absolutely beautiful! What I liked about it the most is that you could take the ferry boat over to DisneyWorld instead of the shuttle. It was faster and put you right at the entrance of the park. Awesome!"

"We returned from our stay at the Wilderness Lodge two days ago. It was fantastic!! Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this resort to anyone going to Disney! The kids loved the pool slide and the hot tub too."

"I just stayed at the Wilderness Lodge and I am going back next year because it was so great. The Staff was great and very friendly. The transportation was fantastic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Its atmosphere is the best in all of the disney resorts. The lobby is magical."

"My husband and I have stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on several occasions and each time it was pure magic. We really enjoy the beauty of the log structure and the decor is out of this world. We have taken many pictures (several during Christmas time) but you have to see it with your own eyes to truly appreciate all the beauty this resort has to offer."

"We stayed at WL in June 1999. Our room was 4125 and we had a great view of the lake. There were only 3 other rooms in our hall, so our stay was blissfully quiet! We watched the Electric Parade from our balcony many nights. The lodge has little sitting areas that you can find if you explore. We also did the afternoon eating tour of the hotel."

"I have stayed at Wilderness Lodge one time. It was in 1996 over the Christmas holiday. It was so fantastic and wonderful. We had a room with a hidden mickey on our balcony, and had a great view of the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle. I think we were on the 7th floor. We could even see the tip of the castle! It was amazing. My family and I are going again this Christmas and can't wait to go back to the resort and see the Millennium celebration decorations at the parks."

"My mother and I are avid Disney goers. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge last year. It was by far our favorite Disney hotel that we had stayed in (and we have stayed in quite a few). One added bonus was that our maid made disney characters and other creative designs every day out of our towels, handtowels and washclothes. At the end of a long day, it was exciting to see what design or character she had left us. We will definitely stay there again."

"My wife and I stayed at the wilderness lodge in 1995 and really enjoyed it. We had a view that looked out over the lake and we could sit on our balcony and watch the electric boat parade at night while our daughter slept in the room.

The totem poles were made by a woodworker from the state of Washington (where my wife and I are from) and there was an article about their construction in Fine Woodworking magazine in 1995. Being from the northwest United States, we also enjoyed the selection of Northwest wines at Artist Point. We look forward to returning soon."

"The Lodge was a great place to stay. I'm from Australia & would return there at any time."

"We were also there during Christmas, in 1998. Even without the Christmas decor, I'm sure the place would look amazing. The decorations made it that much more magical. It's kinda like a camping trip, Disney-style. I would most definitely stay there again"

"The Wilderness Lodge has been a favorite of mine during our last 4 visits. Each room we have stayed in was wonderful. The atmosphere of the lodge, adds to the excitement and relaxation of my visit. Both restaurants on the property offer excellent food and service. The laundry facilities are also very nice and located close enough to the pool area for a quick swim between loads.

The transportation areas...whether it's by bus or boat is close enough to the hotel, so that when returning from a hectic day in the park, it is only a short walk to return to your room. I highly recommend this hotel for it's beauty, service, and atmosphere."
