"We stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel Last december the last 3
days of our 10 day trip!! The hotel, the room, and the sevice was
Absolutly top of the line!!! Extremly clean, the best bed I have
ever slept in in my life,Front of the line in both parks with room
key, that was well worth it!!The staff was extremely professional, helpful
and prompt! not to mention kind and courtious! The walk way to the
parks is gorgeous!! The hotel is beautiful!! I am a disney fanatic
but hard rock out shined them in everyway!!" (11/03)
"My boyfriend
and I just returned from our fabulous Florida vacation. We stayed
at the Hard Rock for 7 nights and were treated like royalty from
the moment we checked in 'til it was time to head home! The staff
was very accomodating and friendly and our room was immaculate.
We attended the monthly on-site party, "Velvet Sessions"
and it was definitely worth every penny of the $50 per guest fee.
Also you can't beat front of the line priveleges at Universal Studios
and Adventure Island with a flash of your hotel room key. Halloween
Horror Nights was also spectacular, scaring even the biggest sceptics!
Our only gripe was that their beautiful pool is only 4ft at it's
deepest point. Hard Rock Rocked!!" (11/03)
"Just returned
from our fabulous florida vacation. We intended to stay at the Hard
Rock for one week, but left after one day. Nothing was as we expected.
The room- too small, the view- parked cars and the pool area too
crowded to enjoy. The poolside bar and restaurant completely full
all day long. We moved to an off-site hotel - paid less and the
rooms were so much nicer as well as the view and the pool area-
we had room to breath." (8/03)
"My family
came to Orlando from New York and stayed at the Hard Rock instead
of Fort Wilderness, which is our usual destination. Upon arrival,
we were ignored at the front desk instead of the warm Disney greetings
that we had always received. Our room was so small that I felt as
if I were back in my college dorm - with blank walls. And the view
or lack of was so depressing compared to the beautiful landscaping
that Disney provides. Sorry Hard Rock, but you do not meet come
close to the high Disney standards."
""Never again!"
We've stayed in many hotels in the Disnay area over the years and
have never had a bad experience until now. Our room was not ready
until the evening because "We are so booked that we can't be expected
to have all the rooms ready on time". Maybe they should concider
hiring more cleaning staff. There was only one man with a cart on
our entire floor! The poolside dining that is suppose to be so delicious
- how would anyone know, every seat was taken by people having drinks
and they never left. No chairs empty by the pool and we we're about
to rent a cabana for $75. There were no meals for less than $26
dollars a person so we wondered into Universal where, believe it
or not, the prices were cheaper! I don't recommend anyone waist
their money here." (7/03)
"Our family
thought that we would try something new in our local city of Orlando
so instead of a Disney Resort Hotel (which have all been excellent,
professional and clean), we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel. From
the moment we walked into the lobby, we were disappointed. The workers
were not friendly and professional, our room was not ready on time
and nobody would talk to us to estimate when it would be. The room
itself was small and lacked color and style- complete with a view
of a parking area..yuck! The floor and chair had crumbs on them
and the shower took a major effort to get the water to come out
the shower head and not the bathtub. All of these problems could
be overlooked at a buget hotel along a highway, but not a major
resort hotel with major resort $$$." (6/03) Sandy Peters
"Our family
has gone to orlando several years. We have stayed on site at WDW
{the grand floridian}, offsite on International drive and onsite
at Universal {hardrock hotel and Royal Pacific}. We rate the hard
rock the best hotel in orlando with Royal Pacific the best value.
We had a pool view room on one of the upper floors, the rooms were
immaculate. The staff at Hard Rock will try and find you an elephant
at three AM if you ask them {for a price of course}. Dining at hard
rock is expensive but the cuisine was excellant. We always get a
rental car so the kids can have choices {oh, the endless attraction
to Denny's!} We rate Hard Rock the best hotel in Orlando with Royal
Pacific the best value. With only three onsite hotels {all first
class} Universal gives guests front of the line access to rides
with the room key. This beats disney hands down! The hard rock pool's
white sand beach,200 foot water slide and underwater music had the
kids enthralled. I don't want to sound like some Universal schill,
the grand Floridian was excellant but even with the monorail and
early park access you still wound up in line after the first couple
of hours. Time is your ultimate asset when visiting Orlando and
Universal's hotels give you the most for the money." jim mclaughlin
"Returned
from another fab holiday in Florida in June. We spent the last 2
nights at the Hard Rock Hotel - sheer class! The fact that the hotel
key could be used as a fast pass paid for itself - we managed both
Universal and IOA in one day! The Hotel operates a system - you
fill a form in and as a returning guest in the future you move up
a 'ladder' - which gets you free 'benefits' ie: room upgrade. This
hotel beats Disney hotels hands down - as much as I love Disney,
the Disney hotels seem 'tacky'. Hard Rock is well worth a visit
and I shall be returning without a doubt!" (8/02)
"What can
I say - fantastic hotel. Staff brilliant, building fantastic, pool
area great, access to Parks spot on and front of line access with
room key pays for itself a hundred times over. Well recommended!!"

"We stayed
at the Hard Rock for three days in April. It's a beautiful hotel!
Very plush, with big bathrooms, and a comfortable cushy chair and
ottoman, even in the least expensive rooms. My two boys--12 and
14--(other two kids are in college) loved the pool. Best thing was
the proximity to IoA and Universal S. Just a five minute walk along
a landscaped path. And the hotel key could be used as a "fast pass"
for every ride and show, which made the cost of the room very reasonable
in my mind. We only ate one meal at the hotel; breakfast on the
last day, and found it pricey, but good. We started our vacation
with four days at the All Star Music, and I really missed their
food court while at the Hard Rock!" (5/02)
