"Quite disappointed
with the guest room, which was located in the Big Pine Key building.
Service was average. Was hoping for something special. Had dinner
several times at "Narcoossee's. Always very good. Touted as Disney's
Flagship and "The ultimate in luxury," the resort doesn't live up
to the hype." (9/00) K. R.
"I stayed
at the Grand Floridian last month, and paid almost $400 per night.
I really dont think it was worth it. Our room was a typical hotel
room, and I have seen much nicer hotel rooms in Las Vegas for 1/3
the price of the Grand Floridian. Next time I am going to stay at
the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress." (3/01) Linda
"i Loved the
treatment that i got at the Floridain, however as far as the extras
went i was dissapointed. I thought that after a day at the parks
or just to hand around the floridain was lacking. The great thing
is the fact that you can see the fireworks show from the hotel.
i am really torn because for all the good i can say it just is not
woth the exra $$$$$$$$$." (2/01)
"Have stayed
at the Grand Floridian Concierge level at least 5 times and each
time is better than the first. The concigere employees are the best
and do everything possible to make your say memorable. Looking forward
to returning at Christmas 2001." Ray (2/01)
"to tell the
truth, i honestley didnt love this resort. i have been to disney
6 times and this is my least favorite out of the 6 i have stayed
in. (poly. being my favorite)well, i have to admitt, it was really
gorgeous, glamerous, and food was incredible. money isnt a problem
for myself so that wasnt a big deal 4 us. but it got kinda boring.
the pool is fair. and there isnt too much excitment. often we would
come back from the park go to the resort, change, then head for
the boardwalk, downtown, or went to our friends who were staying
at the beach club and swim there. the resort left us bored and even
though its the most beatiful, its also the most stuck up."

"I stayed
at the Grand Floridian resort. It was beautiful resort, but not
worth the money I spent. Bring your bookeeper with you so they can
help you interpret the bill you recieve from the front desk because
their help does not have a clue. When I first arrived at 1 in the
afternoon, there wasn't anyone to help me bring my luggage in soooooooo
I did it myself. I then waited about 25 minutes on line to get booked
in. Finally the kid brings my suitcases in the room and stands outside
and says nothing for a minute, he than says is everything ok, i
say yes and now i understand the hesitation. after he left i realized
the room smelled like paint and new rugs and chemicals. I had to
change my room. overall i found the same food types sold at this
hotel were twice as high as other disney resorts. i would not come
back and i can affort to do so." (2/01)
"Very Nice
place.... Excellent service.... Only downfall... alot of buildings(rooms)
you have to walk along ways to get to your room.... Cleaning service
does a great job." Lori (1/01)
"Stayed at the Grand Floridian a few years back when I was
still single (no kids). Without a doubt the best place to stay if
you don't have kids, like convienience and like to golf. For newly
weds, singles, and couples without children I would always recommend
it. The golf courses were tremendous and on site. The Monorail made
travel very simple. If you are looking for a quiet and beautiful
place to stay with great food and you have the resources (money)
this the place.
"We stayed
at the Grand Floridian Resort April of 2000 and it was the most
amazing place in the world. We had the nicest suite and the people
were friendly and noticed you in seconds. If you sit in the main
lobby you can almost set you watch by the cast members that ask
you if you want anything, guaranteed that they will be there in
3 seconds! It was magical and everything you could want in a trip.
Plus I don't think I could stay anywhere else, nothing could top
it!" Avsgal77@aol.com
"Just got back from WDW(5/00) after staying at the Grand Floridian.
Have stayed there 3 other times previously and really enjoyed the
expierience. This visit was somewhat tainted in that the Grand Floridian
is undergoing a massive remodeling with entire buildings closed
down and massive scaffolds and barricades enclosing others. All
this translated into a lot of nosise and clutter. This remodel will
extend into March 2001. Also tried one of the Concierge rooms in
the main building on this trip and was very disapointed. Not worth
the extra $$$$ premium."
"We've stayed
at the Grand Flordian resort ever since we've started going to disney.

this place to anyone!!!!! Everything about this place is perfect."

"I stayed at the Grand Floridian last week 2/6/00 . Place
was awesome. Food, bring a bankroll eating out at the fancy resturants
in Disney cost more then the Hotel. Pool was super all the Staff
at the Grand Floridian were ready to make you feel at home really
great folks. This was my first trip Disney the Plane ride every
thing is so SUPER you cant describe it the week goes buy so fast
you feel sad when you walk away from the Hotel passed the pool and
all the new people are laying out. But next year will come Now I
know why most story's on the WEB say this is out 7th Year here and
5 time there. Well hopefully next year will be our 2nd year at the
Grand Floridian." Johnny T and Larry T.
"The Grand Floridian
has been the best of the Disney Resorts we have stayed in. I only
wish we had enough money to stay in it all the time."
"Grand Floridian
concigere level was fantastic. An experience we will never forget!"

"My wife and I stayed at the Grand Floridian for our 10th anniversary
in 1996...and for another vacation the following year. We're headed
there again this December ('99) for our first Christmas visit to
WDW -- and we can't wait. This hotel transports you to another time
and place. The atmosphere, service, and overall quality are simply
the best -- PDM: Pure Disney Magic! Break the piggy bank, dig out
the change from under your sofa cushions, and treat yourself to
at least one night at this hotel that truly lives up the word 'grand'."
"My favorite Disney
Resort is the Grand Floridian. We try to stay there every time we
go, but when we can't we have stayed at the Polynesian and are staying
there again this month when we go to Disney World. Both resorts
are beautiful in different ways. Although staying at the Floridian
I have been a little spoiled, because when you return to your room
after a day in the parks your bed is turned down and there are chocolates
on your pillow and the T.V s turned on to the Disney closed circuit
channel. I hope this is a little helpful. Oh by the way my name
is Sue."
"I wouldn't stay
anywhere else in the world but on Disney property if it could be
that way.To tell you the truth the Grand Floridian in my opinion
is the best of all the resorts. As a matter of fact I'm going to
stay this year. After I stayed in 1998 I fell in love with it. i
can't wait until I go this year. It's a dream come true."
