"We liked
Riverside very much. We stayed in the Magnolia Bend part of the
resort and everything we needed was in reasonable walking distance.
The rooms were what we are used to; we usually stay in places like
Marriot, Sheraton, or Radisson. The room was large enough for 4
to move around in. It was not more clean, or more dirty, than what
we are used to...it was a typical motel room. It did not have a
hairdryer, coffee maker, or iron in the room; things we are used
to finding in the other moderate hotels we stay in. The food court
and "theme" were very nice and the kids enjoyed the main pool, even
though the slide was closed for the season. Swimming in February
was a treat in itself! I would give the Riverside a B+. It was nice,
very attractive, and functional and lives up to its billing as a
"moderate" resort!" (2/02) Charla
"We had requested
in advance to stay in Parterre Place mansion, but found out upon
arrival that the mansions were closing temporarily on 12/9 due to
low reservations. We were being assigned a bayou building and were
disappointed at first, until they told us we could stay in Parterre
Place the 1st through the 9th and then switch to a bayou building.
That was great for us, and we got to try out both style accommodations.
We liked the mansion room better, but the bayou building was more
convenient to the food court and bus stops, so both had their advantages.
Port Orleans was great! The housekeeping staff was excellent and
everyone in the restaurants, lobby, general store, etc. treated
us just great! Would highly recommend. Wouldn't hesitate to stay
at Port Orleans Riverside again.
Boatrights was excellent!!! Their appetizer platter is enough for
a complete meal (and I ordered it that way more than once!). The
food court is convenient, and the pizza is delicious (a bit expensive,
but worth it!) Breakfast in Boatrights is especially great! Banana
stuffed French toast was scrumptious!!! Daily breakfast specials
were always excellent!
Only drawback is that the Port Orleans bus stalls at nearly ever
park are the very last one. But the buses were prompt, convenient,
always clean, cool, and had very friendly and helpful drivers!"

"My room was
really clean. I rented 2 rooms around June of 1999. The food in
the resort was really good a little expesive but it was really good.
I would like to stay there again . Im planning on going there on
June 9 June 12 for a vacation." (99) Angela Lewis
"We stayed
at Port Orleans Riverside when it was still called Dixie Landings,
in the bayou # 25, I believe. Loved the resort, although the walk
to the lobby and food court was long. The walk to the bus stop wasn't
bad. The room was clean and was okay for a family of 5. The pools
were great for the kids. I can't say enough about the housekeeping
staff. They were attentive to all of our needs- extra towels, pillows,
etc. They went beyond what was expected. My youngest daughters,
a ges 2 and 5 at the time, had a few dolls and stuffed animals with
them for the trip and when we returned from the park the first day,
the toys were stuffed between the blinds and the window, as if they
were anxiously waiting for us to return. Each day as we returned
for our midday break from the parks, the toys had been positioned
in various places-- peaking out from behind headboards, cribs and
the like. It was a great way to divert the girls' attention from
the fact that they had to leave a ll the action behind and return
to the room for a rest. They couldn't wait to get back to see what
their "friends" had been up to. As for the food aspect, the food
court was good for a fast food option. Boatwrights was great for
breakfast. We had the buffet. (My husband loves breakfast buffets--it's
got to a man thing!!) All in all, I would recommend Port Orleans
Riverside to anyone." (4/00) Deborah Hardy
"This was
the fourth year in a row we went to WWW and each time we stayed
in Riverside. We stayed in the Magnolia Bend, Arcadia, and Bayou
twice. This past May we stayed in the bayou but the location was
too far back, we loved staying in building #28, the location is
perfect and we will request it this May when we again go back to
Port Orlenes Riverside. The landscaping, the CLEAN rooms, the excellent
service plus the best food court in all of WWW keeps calling us
back. We are in our 50's, and the first time we went to WWW we surprised
our grandson and had a great time, he loved the layed back southern
feel and the pools, we have now gone back three times with adults
and have a terrific time. Regardless if you walk the trails and
see the bunnies and ducks, or ride the bikes and see the sites,
or take the water taxi to downtown disney you cannot beat this resort.
We went to see all the disney resorts and we always come back to
"Dixie". If you have not tried it her e please do, I guarantee you
will have the same problem we do, as much as you will think you
want to try another resort it's back to riverside you will go. Great
people, great food, clean and affordable." (5/01) Judi from

"Our room
was wonderful, it was the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed
in. We were in the Magnolia Terrace part of the resort. Close to
the bus stop which was nice. Also close to the pool and laundry.
Will definitely be staying there again this coming May 2002.
We ate at Boatwright's the first night. It was wonderful food especially
the different types of bread rolls. The other times we ate at the
parks or Downtown Disney. The food court was good too. Especially
liked buying the mug and getting free refills.
The resort itself is beautiful, rooms nice and comfortable and wonderfully
designed. Bus transportation needs some working on. Need more of
them that run more often." (5/01) Shawn Burrow
"We stayed
at the Port Orleans, Riverside and it was beautiful. We took our
parents and six children. We had connecting rooms. The rooms were
very clean the hotel was very quiet and peaceful. Outside the animals
seemed tame. the rabbits would let you get real close to them, along
with the squirrels. We had a loaf of bread in our room and the kids
decided to take it out and feed the ducks so every morning the ducks
would come to our front door to eat. We also rented the family bikes
and rode around the resort. The resort is so pretty with all the
flowers and animals. The only complaint about the resort is that
the restaurant was not that great. Kids didn't like the food. We
went to the grocery store on the way into the parks and bought breakfast
foods and snacks. (most of the shuttle services will give you a
30 minute grocery stop for no extra charge). You can request a frige
in your room. I think its 10.00 a day and if you have at least four
people in your room it saves a lot of money." (5/01) wendye
"They have
changed the name to Port Orleans Riverside. I have to be honest,
I was not impressed by the resort or anything about Disney World
and neither were my kids. Maybe it was the time of year, but everything
about it was a hassle, from the long waits for buses to the rude
employees at the parks and the resort. The only person that was
great and seemed to be having fun was the piano player/singer in
the bar at nights. They no longer deliver stuff to your room, you
have to go to the gift shop and wait in a long line and then deal
with a non-english speaking employee to get the stuff you purchased
in the parks. The dining hall was crowded and understaffed at all
times and the buses took 45 minutes to an hour to take you to any
of the other parks beside the Magic Kingdom. I happened to be in
the room when the maid came in to clean one day and all she did
was reverse our sheets. I told her I wanted clean sheets and she
said OK, but company policy said they only change the sheets when
you check out. I waited in a long line at Guest Services at Riverside
(they had one employee working guest services at 2pm) to ask about
the best way to connect to the Polynesian Village to attend the
Luau and when it was my turn she acted like I was stupid for asking
her that question and threw me a map with the Disney transportation
routes on it. I will never go back to Disney or Port Orleans Riverside
again. My experience was horrible but maybe, it was the time of
year or the fact that another guest told me that Disney had just
layed off thousands of employees and were in a contract dispute
with the rest." (6/01) Bob
"Me and my
family really enjoyed the riverside we stayed in building 27 it
was the best location overall. The food court was great the entertainment
in the lounge was the best by far. The rooms are very cozy, but
not the cleanest we had cockroaches in our room one morning and
called the front desk they said they would take care of it, but
the next morning we found another one in the bathroom and still
nothing was done about it. Please don't let your kids visit the
kiddie pool on french quarter side either, my 3 year old son slipped
in front of the alligator in front of the pool and fell in the water
and had to get stitches in his chin because the water was only 4
inches deep with an 18 inch wall around it. I had to pay 225 dollars
out of my pocket because they don't accept any insurances down there.
The hotel management told me they could not do nothing about it
that i would have to contact their legal advisors about it.
I was upset because that was our money we put back to buy family
members gifts from the parks. And the same thing happened to another
little boy 2 days before my sons accident. So they need to do something
about the kiddie pool on the french quarter side of the resort.
Other than that I would say it was a nice place to stay. The lifeguard
are terrible too, keep an eye on your kids
The food at the food courts was the best, boatwrights dining hall
is ok, but the service is slow very slow we waited about and hour
and a half to get our meals. The pizza at the food court is good,
and also if you go buy the mugs for 9 bucks.
Stay on riverside don't waste your time going over to the french
quarter." (5/01) Steve
"We have stayed
on property only twice, both times at Dixie Landings. Since the
first time at D.L., we have been determined to never go off property
for our Disney vacations again. We have considered to try a different
resort but we had such beautiful times there before, we have a hard
time actually going somewhere else. On our ride to check in, just
the immense emotion gave us such peace that we arrived in Disney
and actually walking onto the grounds and taking a look around,
we just felt such a great swelling of peace and tranquility. The
grounds were overwhelmingly wonderful. Everything came alive. The
animals, the plant life, the river, even the movement of the waterwheel
at Colonel's Cotton Mill (A great smorgasboard of food and beverage
choices). The area was very clean, and colors were very vibrant.
Even the imperfections were perfect. Everything in the right place
just made each of us there actually for even just a moment, find
our Utopia. We were in tears when we had to leave at the end of
our vacation. The rooms were decorated so well my family had just
collapsed on the beds with a sigh debating to go to the parks or
just stay at the resort...for now. The staff there had been very
helpful. I remember my daughter asking me to call the front desk
for a hairdryer while she jumped in the shower. A Guest representative
had dropped it off before she was out within 10 minutes. My grandchildren's
stuffed critters were up and waiting for us in the window as we
came "home" in the evening from the parks. Yes, this has been the
most memorable, most wonderful vacation we have ever taken. Boatwrights
Restaurant was a very wonderful tasty meal with a terrific atmosphere
served by, what else, wonderful Disney cast members. I do suggest
one thing, if you like to be near the main pool (Ole Man's Island),
the Cotton Mill and the river taxi to go to Downtown Disney, Bldg
14 in the Alligator Bayou was the perfect spot for us. ºoº "

"This summer
will be the seventh year in a row that we have went to WDW and it's
just as much fun as it was the first time. We have carefully checked
into the other resorts and compared the amenities but we find that
by far the best value is Dixie. The surroundings and ambiance are
absolutely beautiful, the hosts and staff are always friendly and
helpful. The service has never failed. When our two kids were young
and still in the stuffed animal stages, we always looked forward
to what games they played while we were gone. One evening we came
back and they were playing hide and seek. They had even written
little tip cards on where one another was hiding. The Boatwright
is without a doubt one of the best eating establishments in all
of WDW (at least for breakfast, anyway). Check around, Dixie has
more pools per rooms than any of the other resorts. There may be
a lot of people there but the pools are never overcrowded."
"Im 15 years
old and i absolutely love WDW!I have stayed everywhere you can imagine
in disney, because i beg my parents to go everywhere, we have stayed
in dixie landings 2 times and thats the only place i like, i know
the grounds, and the dining hall has the best chicken ceasar salad!
Dont get me wrong, i like the other resorts i have stayed at, but
DL has the best grounds, service, and you can relax so much here!
I love the fact you can just hop on a boat and go to downtown disney,
or just go to the magic kingdom by bus..I also got my characature
done in the lobby and that was fun too, im going again for my 3rd
time next year seeing as though im going to hawaii, i wish i was
going to disney though." ashweeh@aol.com
"The first
time we took our grandaughter to WDW and stayed at the contemporary
hotel. It was really nice. But has sinced stayed at Dixie Landings.
We feel much more comfortable at that resort (more homey)"

"My family
visited Disney World Nov 2000. Stayed at Dixie Landings and loved
it. The food court had something for everyone. My kids, ages 4 and
6 loved the theme parks but they could not wait to get back to the
hotel every night. Why? because while we were gone their stuffed
animals had come to life! We think our maid sprinkled pixie dust
on them. Every night they were doing something different - watching
tv, reading books. We even took pictures of them. This extra touch
shows how Disney goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable."

"We are from
the South so we decided to see how Disney represented the Southern
homes at Dixie Landings. Well, we absolutely loved it. We stayed
in Aligator Bayou. Our room overlooked the man-made bayou. We had
to walk a little far everywhere we went, but we didn't mind. It
was our honeymoon so we liked to stroll on the paths. We also loved
taking the boat to Downtown Disney. I have been to Disney World
quite a few times, but never stayed on Disney Property. My husband
had never been to Disney World at all. He refuses to go again unless
we stay on the property. We would like to try other Disney resorts,
but we want to stay at Dixie Landings again as well. The room was
not huge, but it was very comfortable. It had a king-size bed and
a very large dresser with a good-size TV it in. I would definately
stay at Dixie Landings again."
"Oct'99 we
stayed at Dixie and loved it. My 70 yr. old mother, myself,50, and
birthday girl daughter,6 all stayed in the same room. Had a terrific
time. Then only thing I didn't like was the stale air in the rooms.
However I never asked if the windows open. If they do, then it would
be perfect. Loved the grounds. The walk to the food court, from
the Bayou bldg. 35, took about 6 mins. Very peaceful in the morning
getting breakfast to bring back to our room. Just me, the bunnies,
and the ducks. I would absolutely reccomend DxL to anyone, especially
those with families."
"I stayed
at the Dixie Landings in October of 1999. It is a very nice hotel.
We had a great time. The only problem is that they charge an extra
$15 a night for a 5Th person. Disney is not family friendly with
there rates. I have three children. It is not fare to charge exrtra
for the room for a third child. Yhe rates have gone up way to high."
"Just returned
home from my very first trip to WDW. We stayed at Dixie Landings
(Magnolia Terrace). What a trip. The rooms was beautiful, the meals
were great, it was quite, clean, and just what we needed. Then when
I got to Magic Kingdom...I cried. What a magical place. We were
there for 10 days and did everything. I don't think we missed a
thing, including the Dumbo ride. Of course we were the only adults
riding..LOL." Angel (10/00)
"We are from
South Africa, Homan & Henna Grasman, we stayed at WDW Dixie Landings
in 1994. WOW how wonderful!!! Great service, friendly people, we
could come and go as we please, so the freedom is at Disney World.
At the moment we are planning our next trip, only this time the
kids will also come with. We are looking at staying at All Star
Resorts. " fullcircle@intekom.co.za
"I just got
back very late last night from WDW (10/30/00). We stayed 7 nights
at Dixie Landings. As this was my very first trip to WDW, I have
to say I was a little disappointed by everything I had read about
this resort. Don't get me wrong, it was nice, however, expensive
for the size and type of room. Although I had followed the suggestions
of many on the message boards to send in a faxed request of the
type of room I wanted to the room controller four days before I
arrived, I was very disappointed with the room Dixie Landing assigned
to us. It was a room in bldg. 17 facing the parking lot. You'd imagine
that a room in this particular building would make it closer to
the main pool and dining hall, however, you had to walk around the
entire building just to get to the walk-way to one of these places.
After three nights of staying in this particular room, I decided
I was paying too much to have the view of the parking lot and the
room location disturb my vacation (and the magical feeling that
I wanted us to feel while on our first trip to WDW). Therefore,
on the morning of the fourth day I requested a room with at least
a view of the trees situated relatively close to where we were presently
staying. Guest Relations didn't blink an eye at my request and tried
to assign me to a smoking building (my husband is allergic to smoke).
When I questioned them whether the room would smell like smoke the
woman on the other end of the phone told me that she couldn't promise
me that the previous guests hadn't smoked there. I asked them if
they had anything else to which they responded by placing us in
a nicely situated room in building 27. Goodness! What a humongous
difference! The view was of partly the building itself (which I
didn't mind) and of the trees, however, the best of all was that
it was situated right off of the walkway surrounding the waterway
and was just a couple buildings away from the main hall.
Also, my son celebrated his 6th birthday the next day after our
arrival. Upon checking in, I told asked the front desk if there
was anything they could do to make it special. The gentleman said
he'd have Goofy give him a wake up call. I also specified the time
as we had an early breakfast reservation at the Crystal Palace the
following morning. The next morning, I woke up to find that we had
NOT received any wakeup call and that we had over-slept our reservations.
I was very disappointed as this was the only special breakfast arrangement
I had made. I quickly called Guest Relations and the person arranged
for us to be received whenever we arrived at the Crystal Palace.
Although I had gone out of my way to try to make this birthday a
little extra special, I didn't find that it was any different except
for the fact that anytime anyone of the Cast Members saw my son's
birthday badge, they told him happy birthday. However, my son didn't
seem to mind as he was in Disney World. :)
Just to add a couple more things, I thought the design of the resort
itself was pretty. The dining hall was also very interesting with
it's high ceiling with the mechanical workings of a real water wheel.
On the last day of our stay, we finally utilized the complimentary
boat ride to Downtown Disney. What a nice relaxing change of pace
from the buses." Sheila O. (10/00)
"We stayed at Dixie Landings just this past December and it
was great. It was my first trip to DIsney World and I thought that
Dixie Landings was so cool because everyone worked so hard to make
it look like a realistic southern place. I loved it!" 8/00
"I have stayed
at Dixie Landings 2 times. My first visit was in 1996 in alligator
bayou, and in 1999 in magnolia bend. I enjoyed both stays, but I
have to say I liked the mansion room better. It was lovely. As a
matter of fact, I enjoyed the grounds and recreation (pools) very
much. The atmosphere was so peaceful and pretty. My family enjoyed
it also.. Would love to go back and stay there again." KRowe91292@aol.com
"We have only
been to Disney World once and stayed at Dixie Landings. DL was the
only moderate resort for 5 people to a room. It was clean & the
atmosphere was relazed...a bit cramped, but not bad for the time
spent inside. We all enjoyed the pools, the waterview and the bikes.
We are going again in March '01 and would like to try CBR-Just not
sure if a one week trip is worth + $1,500 for more room."
"We just returned
from our stay at Dixie Landings last week, it was the most relaxing
stay we have ever had on vacation and we plan on going again next
year. Our next visit we will stay longer at the resort and less
time in the parks as we found we didn't have enough time to explore.
We stayed at Magnolia Terrace and the landscaping was beautiful.
Without a doubt this will be our "stay" of choice on future visits."
Cindy (Michigan)
"I have stayed
at Dixie Landings the last two times I have gone to Disney. I will
be staying there again when I go in July. The hotel is beautiful
and the staff was more accomodating to my father, who has knee problems.
We enjoyed the wildlife that was visible from bunnies to ducks to
lizards. My brother and sister loved being able to watch the animals
eat. I also enjoyed the fact that although the hotel has over 2,000
rooms I never felt crowded except at the dining hall and pool. The
rest of the resort was quiet and peaceful. It was a great place
to stay all around!" Melika77@theglobe.com
"We went to
Disney Oct. '99. Stayed at DL and loved it. My 70 yr. old mother
would have preferred the rooms at Magnolia Bend but the Bayou was
fine. The people were all great. Very helpful. The grounds were
beautiful. I, also, loved my early morning walk to the food court.
Just me, the ducks and the bunnies!! My 6 yr. old will not stay
anywhere else. We are going back Nov 2001 with another family. They
stayed at the Polynesian when they went and will be staying with
us at Dixie. We really raved about it. Try it,,,you'll LOVE it!!!!"
Diane
"Dixie Landings
was great from stem to stern. Check in was a little slow but well
organized and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were great....clean
and large enough for 5. The food court and restaurant were great.
Our last trip, we stayed at Caribbean beach last trip, and the eating
options were inferior. We ended up going back to Dixie Landings
and the Boatwrite restaurant. This is a superb place to eat. None
better at Disney."
"When my husband
and I went on our honeymoon in 1998 we took the Disney Cruise and
stayed at Dixie Landings for the first five nights of our eight
night trip. I had never been to Disneyworld before so I was really
excited. We just loved Dixie Landings!! We have a wonderful time
looking at all of the surroundings and the breakfast at the Boatwrights
was the BEST BREAKFAST!! We are coming back for our anniversary
in October and are staying at Dixie Landings OF COURSE! We had such
a great time we named our dog Dixie to mark the special place!"
Cherish Bradley - cherishlbradley@aol.com
"Dixie Landings
was a great place to stay, the whole family loved it there. The
kids enjoyed the pool, the food court and restaurant was very clean
and the food was delicious. i liked the fact that there were 3 bus
depots , so no matter where you stayed you never had to walk far
to catch a bus. The room was clean and the whole resort was just
beautiful. i saw many of the other resorts and dixie is number 1
on my list , i'll stay there next time too. We did eat once at the
wilderness lodge, the whispering canyon and it was alot of fun.
wilderness lodge is grand but it still just didnt have that family
appeal like dixie, i think."
"Having stayed
at Dixie Landings twice I was anxious to try and compare Port Orleans
on a recent trip. I didn't realize that the resorts were so accesible
to each other by the nicest river walk. The main difference was
that everything at Dixie Landings was bigger. Larger food court,
larger menu, larger gift shop, larger lobby area, larger lounge,
larger swimming opportunities. Rooms were identical and the grounds
had a more cozy feel. If food options are important to you stay
at either and walk to Dixie Food court."
"Ahh...Dixie
Landings..I must say that Boatright's has the best coffee on this
planet!! We say we only stay at the Dixie just for the coffee!!
I have recommended the Dixie to all my coffee enthusiest. What a
dining experience!!!" Jodi Almeida Port Saint Lucie, Florida
"We visited
Disneyworld during spring break 2000 and stayed at the Dixie Landings
Resort. Upon arrival, we were impressed by the overall themed atmosphere
of the Resort. However, we were immediately "unimpressed" with the
quality of the "Alligator Bayou" rooms. After a long flight, and
much anticipation, we were dissapointed to find rooms that looked
too much like a "cheap West Texas motel". Also, the "trundle bed"
advertised in the brochure is in reality a small piece of plywood,
on wheels, with a cheap mattress. A standard "rollaway bed" in any
hotel/motel would dwarf the "trundle bed" at the Dixie Landings.
It may sound as if we had a horrible stay at the Dixie Landings
Resort. We actually had a great time after the initial "room shock".
The themed surroundings are beautiful. The maid service was wonderful.
We would find Mickey and friends on our pillows after returning
from the park each day. We loved almost everything about the Dixie
Landings on our visit. If they would only upgrade the quality of
Alligator Bayou rooms it would be perfect." BILLYBBEN1@AOL.COM
"My boyfriend
and I stayed at The Dixie Landings Resort last May of 99 and it
was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
It was my first time at Diseyworld and nevertheless it was an experience
that I will never forget. The resort was so clean and our room was
always tidy, we were never pressured to leave the romm for housekeeping
to clean, they would just come back once we left. There were always
plenty of clean towels and soap, however I do recommend to rent
a refrigerator. The foodcourt closes at midnight. Overall I can
say that Dixie Landings Resort really made our stay a very pleasurable
one. We will be returning to Disney this may of 2ooo and we will
be staying at The Carribean Beach Resort." Susan
"We have stayed
at Dixie Landings twice now and absolutely love it - we won't stay
anywhere else!! The grounds have always been perfectly maintained,
very clean rooms, excellent service and unbeatable atmosphere. Returning
in Oct of 2000! Would definitely recommend it to anyone." Mary,
Trooper, PA
"We just recently
returned from our WDW vacation. Unfortunately we only stayed two
nights in Dixie Landings, but we absolutely loved it. It was so
beautiful, like stepping back in time. You can't beat what you get
for the price. We weren't planning on going back, but after staying
there we have changed our mind to do the cruise and stay in Dixie
Landings. Oak Manor is the best!" Lyn - St. Albert, Alberta
Canada.
"My husband
and I have stayed at Dixie Landings twice so far and we loved it!
The first time it was for our 25th anniversary, and the 2nd time
we took our best friends, who also loved it This year is special
for us. We both turned the Big 50, and it will also be our 30th
anniversary, and we wouldn't want to celebrate anywhere but Disney
and DIXIE LANDINGS." Rhanelle Spaulding
"My son and
I are leaving Louisville for Disney World this coming Monday,Feb,
7 and staying for our 5th time at Dixie Landings. We simply love
the property. Walking in the mornings is my personal favorite. Food
is wonderful and staff extremely friendly and helpful."
"We really
enjoyed staying at Dixie Landings. It was very reasonably priced
and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality for the price."
"Dixie Landings
wasn't very clean. I was shocked to see trash in the bushes and
on the sidewalks. The rooms we stayed in were not very clean either.
There were dust bunnies that would have given Thumper a heart attack!
The maid also didn't do anything with the kid's stuffed animals.
Our six-year-old bought some in anticipation from what she heard
about it from her brother and sisters. The maid didn't do anything
until the last couple of days, like tip preparation. The food court
at Dixie Landings was good!"
"My friend
Denise and I stayed at Dixie Landings in June of 1998 and I am going
back in May of 2000 I loved staying their it was great. I can honestly
say that everything needed was all within the dixie landings complex
and the atmosphere was very welcoming to me that is why I choose
to go there again this year I will be taking the kids along with
us and I know we will have a BLAST!!!!!!!. See you all in May (15
- 21)" Judy Negrete form PA.
"We stayed at the
alligator bayou section of dixie landings. this was the first time
we stayed on disney property. we were awed by the environment and
inspired by its beauty. we would love to stay here again but were
thinking we would like to check out another resort area with just
as great qualities as dixie landings. by the way, housekeeping at
dixie landings, her name was Carmen, she left little window settings
in our room that made our stay just so much more worthwhile. certainly
staying on property spoiled us and we wouldn't want to stay anywhere
else but on disney property when we visit there." wakka22@aol.com
"My husband and
I stayed at Dixie Landings in March 1999. We absolutely loved the
theming and the grounds. It was very peaceful. The food at Boatwrights
was excellent! We also especially loved the lounge with the big
comfy couches and stuffed chairs. We are going down again in October
2000, but will be trying an All-Star resort this time - for price
reasons. But, we will definitely try and stay at Dixie Landings
again - we loved it!!!" -- Kerry
"The last time
I went to DisneyWorld we stayed in Dixie Landings which I thought
was wonderful.the accomodations were great and the decorations of
the entire resort from front desk to my own room were very Southern.I
loved it."
"The last time
me and my family went to Disney World we stayed at Dixie Landings
Resort. There were five of us in one room and we found it to be
fairly comfortable.I think that 4 in a room would be perforct. The
resort itself is beautiful and very themed. The resturant area is
large and serves good food at resonable prices. Don't miss the boat
ride to the Market Place. You can catch the boat about every 20
minutes from the docks in the main area of the resort. This ride
is beautiful and relaxing. We took it several times. Ol'Man Island
is wonderful and the pool is great. Hot tubs are nice, too after
a day doing the parks. If you have time, in the early evening, just
take a relaxing stroll around the grounds...it is lovely!! "(Tammy

"My husband and
I went to Disney World for our honneymoon in 1995 and we stayed
at Dixie Landings resort in one of the Alligator Bayou rooms. We
liked it so much there that when we went back to Disney World a
couple years later, in 1998, with out fifteen month old son and
my husbands parents and brother we stayed there again, but this
time we stayed in one of the mansions. Now we are going back to
Disney world in January of 2000 with our three year old son, our
one year old son, my husbands parents and brother. We are staying
at Dixie Landings resort again. We have stayed at a couple of other
Disney resorts, but over all we like Dixie Landings the best so
far." Amber Svihovec
