"I had a excellent
experience here on the 14th floor, i had room 4913 Magic Kingdom
view. The room was very clean and tidy.
The lounge is very welcoming and clean, cast members are excellent.
I have stayed in the Grand Floridian main building concierge and the Contemporary
definately rules over because of the privacy of the floor. Not many people there
in the lounge considering it was easter.
It definately pays to have concierge service. Excellent views of Magic Kingdom.
I would recommend this to everyone!!!
Do Disney, Contemporary Style!!!" Mark (5/05)
"We loved
the Contemporary! Our room was very clean and spacious. I was worried
we would be cramped(5 of us), but we had plenty of room for everything
and everybody. Our room(4329) was in the tower facing MK(be sure
to request a Magic Kingdom view). It is so wonderful to look out
and see the castle, fire works, and water pageant from your room.
We could see the castle from our bed! It feels very open, airy,
huge, exciting, and like you are really at Disney World. I can not
imagine staying any where else. Our teenagers loved the arcade and
shopping. Our 3 yr. old loved seeing the castle, fire works, and
monorail from our room. My only complaint is the lack of water pressure
in the shower. It could be better on a different floor. We were
on the 7th floor. I will be staying there again." (11/02) Jen
" The best
hotel in the world! It was very clean and kept very well. I stayed
in the tower and I enjoyed the patio on my room that over looked
Cinderella Castle or Bay Lake. I loved my room and all of the resturants
and the services there and I love the shopping and the monorail
access. I loved all of the resturants the food was great. Monorail
is the best feature." Christina
"This was
my worst experience with a Disney Hotel, I have stayed with the
Value resorts and the Caribbean and was always happy but for this
to be a Deluxe resort I expected more. We were located in the North
Garden Wing and the first room we were put in only had a king size
bed and we have a four year old so that really was not acceptable
but when I called the front desk they did not respond helpfully
but instead said well the couch pulls out into a bed. The second
time I called back I was complaining about the door stop sticking
up from the carpet and told them I wanted another room. I was moved
to a room with two beds but the carpet had such a big bubble in
it you could trip over it, but by this point I just decided to move
on and enjoy my trip. My room was dirty it looked old the sliding
glass door had so much dirt on it you could barely see out of it,
luckily I got a discounted price when I booked the hotel but for
anyone who had to pay full price I truly feel bad for you because
this was not a deluxe hotel in any way, next time if there is a
next time I will be staying off property." (8/02) Holly(Nc)
"I loved this
hotel so much! It was emaculate and beautiful. There was plenty
of room for 3 people and we had a nice view of the magic kingdom
and the garden. We were close to all the gift shops and restaurants.
The only place in the resort we ate was Chef Mickeys and it is my
favorite restaurant in disney. The food is great, and the dessert
bar is even better. It is so funny watching all the characters dance
around, and i love when everyone starts swinging their napkins.
The pool and slide were great, the food court was great, and i just
absolutly loved this resort." Ann
"The hotel
was absolutly beautiful, and is still one of my favorites. It was
extremely clean, and cozy. Our room was in the main tower with a
view of the garden and the Magic Kingdom. Our room was peaceful,
but as soon as we stepped outside we felt the excitement. We could
see all the characters in Chef Mickeys, and the gift shops were
right below us.Getting to the parks was obviously convenient because
of the monorail. It was perfect. We were there right after they
made the new p ool and I loved it, the slide and the fountins were
very fun. My favorite restaurant at the resort was Chef Mickeys.
The food was great and the desserts were better. The charaters come
around and greet everyone, and they even dance. It was so much fun.
I have stayed at many of the resorts at Walt Disney World and this
is still one of my favorites." ann mcnally
"We are first
timers to WDW and stayed in April 2002 at the Contemporary Resort.
The staff were bountiful and bent over backwards to accomodate us.
The first night we arrived we had booked a garden room but were
told we would have to move rooms the next morning and re-register.
We got our keys and went to our room only to find a voicemail from
the front desk apologizing for their actions. They upgraded us to
an 11th floor tower room for the week! The staff were helpful, the
rooms and views from the tower were spectacular, and the pool is
open 24 hours! Try the California Grill - its expensive but its
worth it. We loved this hotel! California Grill - delicious. Make
a 9:45 reservation for dinner and then watch the fireworks over
the magic kingdom explode all around you from the 15th floor. Wow!
Concourse Steakhouse - Expensive and nothing special. Go for the
hamburgers, they are the best in Walt Disney World. Don't try anything
else. What a great place- the rooms were colorful and quality was
acceptable. The bathrooms were cavernous and had great showers.
What the room lacked it made up for with a gorgeous view and great
staff. I saw an army of people go to the pool every 2 hours and
rearrange the chairs and comb out the sand beach to keep everything
looking "just right." (4/02) E A Barreto
"Unfortunately
we had a very poor experience with the accommedations. Upon arrival
(11:00PM) we found potato chips on the bathroom floor, scum in the
tub and other sticky substances on the floor and the carpet was
filthy. It took several requests to get the carpet cleaned (which
then looked great). We consistently requested AM housekeeping and
we got it once or twice. The toilet was very slow and took several
flushes, after calling that in several days I did not bother and
was still that way we we left. The rest of the resort was great
but the lodging was disappointing and totally unexpected from Disney."

"Our room
was very clean. We were in the Towers, facing theCastle,it was great. We
really loved it.We will definitely stay there again,on our next
visit.Every one there was very kind and helpful. They made us feel
right at home. Dining at the resort was really wonderful. We had
a most enjoyable time.Every one was just great, especially those
wonderful characters. My husband and I were like a couple of kids.We
thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food where ever we ate was excellent, especially
The California Grill. We just loved being there, and we will most
surely be coming back in our travels." (9/01) Harry
"We went in
June of 2001 and loved it. At check-in we had no wait. We stayed
in the standard room and it was great we were right near the pool
and it was only about 3 min. from the food court. When we got there
the room was very clean. They were very good about keeping the room
to the Disney expectation. Make sure you buy a refillible mug it
is worth the money. You also need to try the water mice. I would
definitly stay here again." (6/01)
"This resort
is still my favorite. I loved the views from the tower; the rooms
were spotless; Plus, there is nothing like the monorail gliding
right through the center of the resort. The massive tile display
is always fun to inspect and find all the different animals and
scenes depicted. There is much to do at the Contemporary and with
the renovations they have done since 1996, it has become very impressive.
Would stay there again, but there are so many more to try...
It would be hard for me to comment on the dining at this time. However,
in 1996, it was moderately priced throughout the resort and was
definitely enjoyed by my children. It was convenient and pleasant.
Staff was considerate and prompt.
If you have never been to Disney World and can afford the price,
you should defintely try it. To me, this resort and it's design,
make it Disney World at it's best...." Julie Nuno
"My room was
very clean, it was located everytime in the Tower. I have seen the
hotel undergo various changes each time that I have visited and
they were all for the better. I liked the layout of the bathroom,
and I thought that the room was a very good size to accomidate 5
people. The dining was excellent. I greatly enjoyed the Chef Mickey's
Character Breakfast. The food was great and it is excellent for
young children. I have been to the WDW Resort 7 times (my 8th time
in june) and I have only stayed at the Contemporary Resort. I love
the monorail access it makes transportation alot easier especially
if you are traveling with very young childern." (7/00) Christina
"We have been
to WDW about 11 times. 10 out of the 11 times we stayed on Disney
Property. The one time we didn't was a big disappointment. The Deluxe
resorts on the monorail are by far the most enjoyable and convenient.
The Contemporary Wings are the most affordable. Over the past few
years all the rooms have been remodeled and our "very contemporary
and colorful". We really enjoyed our stay there and we will be going
back to the Contemporary in the summer of 2001. I would highly recommend
this resort, especially for convenience. You really feel a part
of Disney when staying here. Take it from someone who has been there
many times. PS: If you belong to the Disney Club you can get a 20%
discount on rooms as well." Nukedent@aol.com (2/01)
"We stayed
at the Contemporary From December 27, 2000 - January 10, 2001 and
we enjoyed our stay here. The housekeeping personell was wonderful
and all the staff was friendly. Our room was in the north garden
section with a standard view. We could see the castle from our large
sliding door and space mountain seemed so close you could throw
a rock at it. We watched the New Years Eve fireworks display from
our room and it was breath taking. California Grill , Concourse
Steak House , Chef Mickeys , and the food n' fun center all had
good food. The Outer Rim lounge had the best Margaritas! I thought
the pool was kind of dirty though. You could see as you walked that
you were wipping some kind of film from the bottom and the life
guards were allowing ducks to swim in it. The trasportation was
fast and being on the monorail is the only way to go. Walking to
the Magic Kingdom was the best. It only takes about 8 minutes. This
was a great resort for children because of the large game room where
you win tickets as you play and then cash them in for prizes. I
would stay there again." Marietta Black.
"We stayed
at the Contemporary in March of 2000. We had a room in the garden
wing w/ room overlooking the lake. We enjoyed the night time water
show, which surprised us as we knew nothing about it. Chef Mickey's
was excellent, but Concourse and Calif. Grill were THE PITS. Despite
us having a wing, it wasn't too far to the lobby and monorail. I
definately recommend a Monorail Resort! We ate at the Poly. Resort
and I hope to stay there next time." (3/00)
accomodation= Clean,
great views from all rooms.
dining= Fun for the whole family night or day. Meals are always
hot and delicous. Service was wonderful.
overall= My favorite place to stay. Patricia Copeland
"I stayed
at the Contemporary in May 2000. it was really great, I think it
would be the perfect place for families to stay in, because from
a teens point of view( im 13) it's very lively and fun." (10/00)
"In April of 1999, I decided to celebrate my 30th birthday
with a week in Walt Disney World. I stayed at the Contemporary,
and I loved it. The pool was beautiful, the service was excellent,
and I loved having the monorail right there. I could also watch
the nightly lagoon light show from my balcony window. My only disappointment
is that this is a very noisy resort. Many of the rooms face inward,
where the restaurants are, and it was hard to get to sleep sometimes.
Still, I would stay there again." Jennifer
"We stayed here
for one night in December 1998, then three nights in 1999. My son
and myself love it because of the closeness of the monorail, yet
in a Garden Wing room, we feel miles away from everything because
of the peace and quiet. To me it is the best of everything. I don't
mind the walk to the tower building. It is worth it to be able to
stay here. I hope to return in a year or two. The bus & monorail
transportation was excellent. We had no waits for anything. And
the staff was wonderful. We got the exact room location that I had
requested. I give them a definite 2-thumbs up!" Judy (JFallon864@aol.com)
"Last Dec. my
yougest son and I spent christmas at the Contemporary Resort. It
was a wonderful experience. Everyone was so friendly and willing
to help out. We are going back next year and taking a few extra
people with us. We will not stay anywhere else but the Contemporary.
It was just what we needed. The christmas before I lost my Dad .
I wanted to have something to take my mind off that and give me
back an enjoyable time. The people at the Contemporary Resort did
just that. Even though they had to work on christmas day. They really
should how Disney World was a magical place to be. I will never
forget it." coffeecupcow@yahoo.com
"This resort is
like no other. I stayed in 1996. it was simply wonderful, and very
high tech.It has so many things to see and do."
"In July of 1995
was the first time my husband and I went with the children. We stayed
at the Contemporary. Was disappointed because I thought it would
be more "contemporary". We had to walk a long ways outside to get
to the monorail. It was very nice to wait inside for the monorail.
We are to go back in September. We have plans to stay at the Carribean
Beach."
