"The music
resort is great! It is our fav of all three value resorts. Our first
stay was back in the broadway section. It was perfect as far as scenery, quietness, and
seclusion is concerned.Only negative thing,is the long walk from
the section to the main pool and the food court bldg, which includes
the bus stops.But even THAT wasn't a big deal.Room was great,clean
and quiet. What more do ya need?
Our second stay at music was in the calypso section;yeah, right up
there in front!!!!! That was fantastic! So much less walking. Our
room faced the wooded section facing the parking lot and it was
great! October is such a great time to go to disney.
Our third stay at music was in the jazz section. That trip was only
for three nights,so that "little extra walk" wasn't bad
at all.Room was on third floor, closest to parking lot and was perfect.
We are soon to go back to disney next month, october, but this stay
will be at movies, which will be our first time there.
The Intermission food court is great, but I do agree with many other
posters, the prices are a little too high for that caliber of food. The
food was good, all was very tasty, but basicly fast food.(One tip
though:don't order the sausage on a bun with peppers and onions. That
wasn't good at all;and one night, there was something called 'manager's
special, and it turned out to be some sort of stir fry vegetables
and rice;that seemed like it had been left in the fridge for about
a week and this was their way of cleaning out the fridge as well
as making a buck.It was so bad, that I took it back to the cook after
a bite or two and asked for something else.I could tell that he
wasn't pleased with that, but hey,it's MY money and MY taste buds!Bud).
All in all,I DO like the food court and I WILL eat there again."

"Although
i absolutly love disney i did not like this hotel at all. I have
stayed in all the other deluxe hotels and it was a complete difference.
It was a last minute trip so we just decided to stay here because
we were thinking that we didnt spend much time in the room anyway,
so it doesnt matter. We were wrong, it didnt have the diney feel
to it. The rooms were pretty clean but not comfortable like the
other ones. The dresser was broken, and the pool was not great,
and not as clean as the others. Our building was far from a lot
of things and it was a hot walk. If you really do not have a lot
of money to spend and you want to stay on DW property it is fine,
but if you are used to staying in a deluxe or moderate disney hotel
you are not going to like this." (7/02) S.M.
"My first
trip ever to Disney World was in May 2002 and we stayed at the All-Star
Music Resort. I found the room size adequate for 3 adults and 1
child (all we did in the room was sleep and shower). We were in
the Rock section of the resort. The walk to Melody Hall took 10-15
minutes with a 4 year old (usually stopping to play by the fountain
or the pool). The food court isn't a good place to go if you are
a vegetarian or would like more of a variety of food - we usually
grabbed a muffin in the morining on our way out and had dinner there
the night we arrived. The resort was full of 13-17 year olds - there
were a large number of school groups and it got pretty wild by the
pools at night. The wait for the busses wasn't too long but you
rarely got a seat when the bus went to all 3 All-Star resorts. Overall,
we enjoyed our stay and I believe the resort was worth the money."

"For years
my Mother and I talked about how we would love to take a trip to
Disney! Well, for her 50th this year, my Father and I surprised
her with a wonderful gift to meet Mickey and the gang! The Resort,
food, and the staff were absolutely incredible and made our vacation
very magical. We stayed at the Country Fair section of the Resort.
A little bit of a hike to and from the main entrance(food court,
buses, front desk), but the cleanliness, atmosphere and the price
made up for it. We enjoyed every meal at the cafe and we especially
enjoyed the convenience of the transportation to and from the Disney
Parks. We highly recommend the All Star Music!" (6/02) Melissa
"Having got
what we considered an excellent deal we were delighted with All
Star Music. We were allocated a room in the Broadway Section, which
was themed with Beauty & The Beast pictures. It was quiet enough,
very clean and the temperature controlled air conditioning was a
God send. When we first arrived we'd had a bit of a nightmare journey
and the 'pizza button' on the phone was immediately used! The pools
were great and the decor might not be to everyone's taste, but they
were bright and fun and in the sun and fun of Disney didn't look
out of place. All in all, it was a great time. Next up is Coronado
Springs in summer 2003. The food court provided a variety of snack
type food - they breakfasts were the best feature as there was a
better selection...especially for myself as I dont eat meat. I had
cheese and fruit and muffins for breakfast and the portions were
reasonably priced. For a 'proper' dinner we would eat elsewhere
- Epcot, Downtown, or one of the other Parks. Like I said about
the pools etc - very clean, attention to detail was good. And I
must admit to taking one of the Mickey Mouse soaps home with me!!!
The lady who did the housekeeping for our room was the loveliest
woman, so we left her all our dollars and dimes we had left along
with beers, juice and fruit etc we couldn't take home on the plane."

"We have stayed
at all three of the All Star Resorts. It was obvious from our arrival
that the Music Resort was the oldest of the three. It was in need
of some refurbishing. Although the rooms were clean and the cast
members were top notch, as they are all across Disney property,
the rooms showed signs of wear and tear, as did the lack of maintenance
on the grounds. Although considering this is a value resort, you
can't expect deluxe conditions. I would not stay at the Music Resort
again due to the layout of the buildings. We were way in the back,
farthest from the food court and transportation. It was very, very
difficult for my three year old to walk that far, and he is much
too heavy to carry. (We rented strollers at the parks.) All Star
Movies and Sports are laid out much better. In fact, it was closer
for us to walk to the Sports Resort main building than it was for
ours!" (4/01) Rebecca Flack
"Our vey first
Disney experience was unforgettable. We stayed at the All Star Music,
close to the front pool and ground level. There were four of us,
my husband and myself and a nine and ten year old. We found our
rooms plenty roomy enough for the time we stayed in them. Lots of
big spaces too for clothing. The food court was nice, with some
fun entertainment. The kids enjoyed that. We sat by the pool as
our children swam and they made friends with other children from
other countries, which they thought was great. Transportation was
A plus. We went back and are going back in a week. Good economical
price." (12/01) Sherri from Gulfport, Ms.
"My husband
and I spent 5 nights at the All Star Music Resort in 1995. It was
the first time either of us had been to WDW and we had a blast.
We stayed in the Calypso building on the back side and it was very
quiet. The room was tastefully decorated and very nice. We are planning
a trip back in June 2001 with our 8 year old grandson and will again
stay in one of the All Star Resorts - probably Sports this time
as he is into baseball and soccer. Found the food to be quite good
and the prices very reasonable considering you are at WDW. All of
the Staff was very pleasant and made our stay something to remember.
The entire experience was wonderful." (3/95) Linda
"I just wanted
to thank all the readers who reviewed and gave tips on All Star
Music! My 8 yr old daughter and I just returned from our first Disney
trip, and it was INCREDIBLE. We took a reader's tip and requested
a room near the main bldg, which we received, and it made ALL the
difference in the world! We were in Calypso 2, right by the pool
and food court (which was reasonable, good, and convenient). The
best part was that we didn't feel like we had to be on our "best
beha v ior", as we did at some of the other resorts. Also, let me
HIGHLY recommend the "Discovery Magic" pkg...we saw all the best
shows (Hoop De Doo, Luau at the Poly, breathtaking Cirque de Soleil,
Character breakfasts EVERYDAY, plus photos on Splash MT, Dinosaur,
Rock & Rollercoaster, etc.)and didn't have to pay anything, because
it was all paid for in advance with the package (we booked thru
disney.com, which couldn't be beat, either. From a very, very, very
grateful mom........THANK YOU ALL!!" (11/01) Ro
"I liked my
accomodations very much but would have liked to have been on the
pool side instead of the back side. We never had a bad meal. Even
the concessions and food courts had great food. very clean and extremely
well run. very friendly people always willing to help." (10/01)

"We found
our room at the All Star Music very clean, however we found our
room very small for 2 adults and 2 kids! It was kind of a dark room
and seemed quite old. The lobby was very busy and noisy and to check
in took quite a while, the cast member that helped us did not speak
much english and we had a hard time understanding her. We spent
most of our time at the parks. The transportation at the All Star
music is FANTASTIC! You are picked up and taken directly to your
destination, no changing of buses or other stops. If your just looking
for a place to sleep and shower I would recommend it, however if
you want more comfort, and plan on spending more time at your resort,
I would try one of the moderates. We plan to on our next trip. The
only dining at the resort was a food court. The service was very
good and the people were friendly, the food was great for the kids,
lots of choices. If you stay, buy a Disney mug. You pay about 8
dollars but you have free refills during your entire stay! Better
than paying $2.50 per coke! " (12/99) Lisa B
"Our experience
at the All Star Music resort was very pleasant. The resort and rooms
were very clean, and every time I called to ask for something like
towels or an iron etc. it arrived promptly. I was very pleased with
the friendliness of the cast members. I would suggest requesting
a room in the calypso section. It is the closest to the bus stops
and the Intermission food court. Also we had a nice view of the
3 Cabballeros pool. The only complaint I have is that the bus stops
at the parks are the furthest (you get what you pay for here) so
if you have some one who has trouble walking the transportation
here might be a problem. It did not pose a problem for us though.
Dining: Not much of a variety here at the discount resort. The Intermission
food court was all that was available. However it showed alot of
different variety's in taste. The pizza and burgers were decent.
And the breakfast pastries were very fresh. Very accomadating, especially
for the price." (1/01) Mandy
"We stayed
in the Jazz section of the All Star Music and had a great time.
The room and grounds were very clean and the walk to the restaurant
and main building was not too far. The theme was very enjoyable
for both adults and children. The only complaint we had was that
we requested a king size bed and upon check-in we were told that
they didn't guarantee a king bed and that the didn't have any left.
Other than that we had a wonderful stay.
The intermission food court had pretty good food. The choices were
plentiful and should have had something for everyone. It was good
for a quick convenient meal.
Excellent value and very good resort." (6/00) Julie Smith
"i stayed
at all star music this past spring break. i just got back home to
Massachusetts on April 19th, 2001. i went down with three of my
friends. we all stayed in the same room. it was a little odd with
four 18 year olds sleeping in two beds but it worked out OK. the
room was always clean and nothing was stolen, even though we mostly
left all our stuff just lying around. we asked for extra towels
once and got them everyday after. we stayed in the Broadway building.
one thing about the Broadway building is that every room has an
ugly beauty and the beast picture in it. i know of one girl that
was afraid to sleep near it. it worked for our budget since we wanted
to spend the least money possible so we could spend the max on other
things. the food court is pretty good. the pizza is terrible, horrible
at best. it looks great but is disgusting. the busses we mostly
on time but when you want to leave in the early evening you seem
to wait forever. there were a lot of teenagers there during our
stay. overall it was a good choice. i would recommend it for people
wanting to enjoy some Disney fun." (4/01)
"Stayed Oct
2000. Accomodation= Liked very much,Clean and very friendly.I hope
to visit some day again! Dining= good choice of food. Overall= Liked
being pool side ground level near the bar and food court.Would not
have liked being on the outside upper level." Joni Cullen
"When we stayed
at All Star Music we had such a good time. Many people say that
for four people & up to share a room it was tight, it wasn't. My
family and I stayed there 4 nights and it was roomy for us. A five
year old, a four year old, an eight year old, my husband and I.
It was great and was extremely smart to have transportation provided
for us to take us to the various parks. We thought that the price
was a very good fit and the employees were very kind. I would definitely
go there again." (2/01)
"I have stayed
at the All Star Music. The price was really good. The guitar pool
was better than the piano one I thought. The cherry coke was very
good. The food at melody hall was great. If you buy stuff from the
market it is very neat you can buy milk and cral to bring back to
the room."
"My family
stayed at Disney's all Star Music resort in August 2000. Although
basic, the room was cleaned well and lovely to collapse in at night
in its air conditioned glory! The transportation to the Disney parks
and attractions was exceptional, and combined with an unlimited
park pass was ideal for my family, including two young children.
The site felt safe and the staff were delightful. The only gripe
was that food and drink, in common with other Disney outlets was
very over-priced compared with the "outside world". I would recommend
the site to anybody, especially if the focus was on visiting Disneyworld."

"My
boyfriend and I stayed at All Star Music in Sep 1999 and had the
best holiday ever. I had been to Florida 4 times before, but nothing
beats a Disney Hotel. The All Star was good fun, exceptionally clean
and well kept and the staff were lovely."
"I
stayed at the ALL STAR MUSIC hotel in 1999. The hotel is great for
those who dont want to spend alot of money but want to be on Disney
grounds. The main advantage was that you were able to use the buses
which made it extremely convenient. The grounds were clean and safe!!
The look of the All Star can be interpreted two ways. Either cute
and festive or tacky!! The food is mediocre but manageable!! All
in All I thought it served its purpose and I would recommend it
if you wanted a nice place to stay at Disneyb :-)" LRein18@aol.com
"I
stayed at the All Star Music and it was a great place. it had a
guitar pool with waterfalls in the middle and a perfect atmosphere.
The food court was great with a wide selection for the times when
you didn't feel like going to a restaurant to eat. I definitely
recommend if you have kids to stay here or if you are a Disney lover."

"I
stayed at this resort with my husband, 2 year old and 2 month old
in June 1998. The food court was perfect for my family and the shuttle
service to the parks was so convenient. The guitar shaped pool was
hopping with excitement. Although the rooms were smaal, it didn't
matter to us because the price was right and we were hardly in our
rooms anyway."
"Liked
the all-star music resort, and would probably stay again. Nothing
special regular hotel room. I look at it as I didn't go to WDW to
stay in my room. We would leave by 7:00am each morning, and not
get back until almost midnight each night we stayed."
"We
stayed at All-Star Music in March of '99. I didn't care for it as
much as my first experience two years earlier at Port Orleans. There
was a definite difference in comfort, decor, employees, and other
accommodations. I could tell it was a "Value" resort. That's not
to say that it is not adequate accommodations, but for the money
you spend going to Disney my preference is the moderate priced hotels.
We are (hopefully) going back in January 2000, doing the 4 day land/3
day cruise and staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort."
"I
stayed at the All Star Music Resort in March 1999. The room they
originally assigned me was filthy. The carpets were soiled and there
were black marks up and down the walls. I requested a different
room, but when I got there it was also filthy. The room was no better
than the first and was the farthest away from the food court and
bus pickup. I called the housekeeping supervisor the next morning
to complain. The kindly apologized and told me they would come clean
the carpets and the walls. The first day they cleaned the carpets
(which were slightly improved) while at the theme park. They forgot
to wash the walls so they did that the next day while we were gone.
Plain and simple the rooms needed refurbishing! I was not comfortable
having my 3 year old sitting on the carpet. I would NEVER stay there
again." Gina, Michigan
"We
stayed in all star music resort hotel in October 1997. The hotel
was very clean, staff were very friendly and there was always a
fresh supply of towels whenever you requested them. Transportation
to and from the parks is fantastic(no need to hire a car) Information
regarding the early mornings , the weather etc was always posted
by the pool and updated regularly. I recommend staying in disney
rather than outside the resort if at all possible, The all star
hotels are relatively inexpensive . Having stayed out ide Disney
on our previous trip in 1992 I would never do it again if I could
afford to stay in Disney The one thing that I noticed the most was
how clean the whole of Disney World is, there wouldn't even be a
cigarette butt or a piece of chewing gum on the ground. I hope some
of the information is helpful to someone, Best of luck to all travellers."

"We've
stayed at All-Star Music 2 or 3 times and plan to go back. The rooms
are small, but we only used them for showering and sleeping. Loved
the theming, especially with the children. The only place to eat
is at the food court. There is no full service restaurant. The pools
have a lot of appeal, too, especially to the children (one is shaped
like a guitar with the Three Cabellaros and the other is modeled
on a grand piano with Ariel). The game room is large. Though we
have stayed at other Disney resorts (Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach,
Polynesian) this is the one we return to, mainly because of the
price."
"There
were four of us that went to Disney. We had never taken a trip like
this without our husbands. We were so surprised to see how convenient
everything was for us. We flew in from Michigan and there was a
van at the airport to take us right over to our motel. All Star
Music. The price was more than right, rooms were very clean the
food in the food court was excellent and every one was so accommodating.
Our nephew will be playing in his high school
band at Disney during Spring break. The plan is that all of my siblings
(6) their families and then their families are all going to support
the band. There should be 37 of us going. I am very excited about
going again and sharing the experience that we had a few years ago
with every one else."
