"Like they say
disney is the greatest place on earth! We have gone to disney
many times but last year we decided to stay inside disney. We
stayed at All Star Movies. The rooms were very clean and
we were all so excited over the decore. We loved the tall
buzz lightyear and RC the car. Staying there was like being
a kid all over again. And staying inside the park had so
many benefits to it. We were able to stay for extra hours
at parks and with the bus system we had no need to drive disney
took care of everything!! We are going back in 25 days!! This time
we are staying at the sports motel. I love that disney leaves
no detail out they are great!!! I would live in disney if I could.
We ate breakfast at the resort every morning and I thought the
food was well priced and delicious. The dinning hall was
very clean. You have to expect to pay a little more than
mcdonalds when you come to a place as wonderful as Disney. For
anyone who has never stayed at a disney resort they are really
missing out. It is fun just to walk around and see how they
decorated each portion of the motel. If you think they way
they set up the theme parks is cute wait until you see the motels!"

"My husband
and I stayed at All Stars Movies for 14 nights in Sept 99. It was
just the right time of year parks were not crowded and weather was
lovely. We had no children at this time and we absolutely loved
staying at All Stars Movies. I adore Disney and now can't wait for
my young daughter to be old enough to enjoy it. Staying on site
is worth every penny it makes the world of difference, but do your
homework on what time of year to go we were advised to go straight
after labour day - perfect. Food court at All Star Movies was good
quality and good value for money. Absolutey loved it, themes are
great we stayed in Dalmations very convenient for transport and
food court." Donna
"I thought that the All Star Movies Resort was wonderful.
My almost three year old daughter also thought it was great. It
was clean, staff was friendly, and it was just an all around great
resort. The food was good and no more expthan anywhere inside the
parks. I would recommend this resort to anyone that I know. It was
great!!!!" (6/03) Leah
"I loved staying at the All-Star Movie resort. Staying within
the Disney dream is much more magical than staying outside, say
at International Drive. Our room (for my husband and I) was within
the Mighty Ducks section right next to the Mighty Ducks pool which
was very handy indeed! Our room was OK, much smaller than I was
expecting though and not as clean as the other rooms mentioned in
this feedback, we didn't arrive back to fancy scultured towels.
I guess you could say I was a little disappointed. And although
the food was lovely and there was loads of choice in the food hall,
the food was more expensive than I had hoped. It's amazing how much
of our savings went on meals.....and we didn't really eat that much!
But all in all it was a lovely experience. The transportation system
was excellent. It was probably one of the best things about staying
there. Only once had we to wait longer than 10 mins for a bus, I
just can't fault it at all. I really hope we can stay within the
Disney resort again, possibly at another All-Star - but the prices
from the UK have risen so much since 2000!!" (6/00) meshell6
"what a place
to stay in! brilliant!rooms were immaculately clean and were kept
that way for the duration of our stay.we stayed in the toy story
section in the building behind woody 1st floor up and facing the
car park. it was a nice quiet area but still close enough to all
the ammenities.the rooms were well soundproofed also .one bit of
advice though,do not take your own towels with you, at one stage
we thought ours were being cloned there were so many of them and
they were all so white and spottlessly clean.beds were very comfortable
and clean.after a long day at the parks we knew we were going back
to comfort!i liked the way that you could control the heat in the
room also, upwhen chilly down when warm.we hope to go back to disney
in the near future and you wont need any guesses as to where we
will be staying!!!!" (1/03) marina mc laughlin
"This was
not my families first time staying at the All-Star Movies Resort.
We just visited from the end of Nov. 2002 to the 2nd of December.
We absolutely love staying on Disney property. Our rooms were allways
clean and the housekeepers even got creative with our washcloths
and towels. One day I went our room after a long day at the parks
and what to my suprise, they had made a bird sitting on a perch.
Our rooms were located in the Love Bug. Let me tell you we never
thought about the walk as a hassle(accept for when we got back at
night). The beds were extremely comfortable. It was nice to have
the added features of an alarm clock radio and the availability
for a wake up call. The dining hall was excelent. They try there
hardest to you your food as fresh and as quickly as possible. There
is one tip that I would give to any Resort or non-resort guests.
Breakfasts in the parks cost a little less but you sometimes get
more for your buck." (12/02) Chris
"We had a
wonderful stay at All Star Movies, the room was always clean. We
had a perfect vacation. The room was perfect. Dec. 4th was our 30the
wedding anniversary and when we came back that night we had baloons
and a card from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. So nice. We had
a great housekeeper, I lost a small ring with my madian name made
at Fort Wilderness ( JOY ) and she found it. I was so pleased the
about everything. I thought her name was Maria but my husband said
is was Marianna. We never saw her but she was great in our eyes.
Very PLEASED!!! Another person was Alice she had a cart where she
sold small items and she just loved how we were taking it all in.
It was our very first trip to WDW. We are going again this December
it will be our 32nd anniversary. We are staying at All Star Movies
again. Oh! I forgot it was at Fantasia and we are staying at Fantasia
again. The Food Court was very nice and the cast members were very
busy in keeping everyone happy. We ate breakfast and super at our
resort and we enjoyed ourselves their also. I have told many people
about All Star Movies and one friend might go next year and stay
at All Atar Movies, and another friend is going in the spring and
she said she is going to All Star Music. My vacation was perfect.
We are going down again this December." (12/00) Elizabeth Eckhart
"We stayed
in the Pongo Dalmation Building which was ideally and centrally
situated for the reception, foodcourts, swimming pool, bus stops.
Housekeeping staff were very good except for the day we forgot to
leave a top. Although the room was fine for two of us it would probably
be a bit crowded with 4 especially as there was not much storage
space. I was not impressed with the Foodcourts. The food was expensive
and in my opinion nicer food could be purchased at the parks for
the same amount. On the plus side buying a refillable mug was definitely
good value. Generally I was pleased. The staff were friendly and
helpful and it was kept immaculately clean." (4/02) Rachel
"We just returned
from an 8-day stay at the All-Star Movies. When we made our reservations
in February, I requested a nonsmoking room in the Mighty Ducks section.
When we arrived for check-in, we were told there were no nonsmoking
rooms available and that we would have to stay in the smoking building.
I went to Guest Services and explained my situation and they immediately
placed us in a nonsmoking room in the Mighty Ducks section. No explanation
was given for telling us none were available. Our room was very
small, but OK for just the three of us. I can't imagine having four
people in such a small space. The last time we were at Disney, we
stayed at Dixie Landings and this was a big letdown from that. If
we had not stayed at DL before, we probably wouldn't have been as
disappointed. The room was not clean and there was a dirty hairbrush
in the floor, apparently left behind from the previous guests. The
towels and wash cloths were very thin and rough and we were left
without toilet tissue and soap for a couple of days after housekeeping
had made up the room and we had to call for these items late at
night when returning to our room. On the positive side, our son
loved the hockey themed pool! It is a little bit longer distance
from the food court and check-in, but definitely worth the walk
to be away from the crowds and noise. We would definitely recommend
staying at a moderate resort if possible. We certainly will from
now on! We didn't find t h e price difference to be worth the differences
in accomodations." (7/02) Tese Stephens
"All-star
resorts are uncomparable for the price. Even though it is a value-resort,you
don't feel like you are missing anything. I have stayed at both
music and movies. In music our rooms were a little far from the
lobby and pools but we were also traveling as part of a group that
would be competeing at WDW. Our last trip,we stayed at movies. We
stayed in the 101 dalmatians building and were very close to everything.
When checking in, request a building close to the lobby. We arrived
early, but they found an open room and we were able to check in early
rather than have to leave our luggage and come back. Rooms are very
clean ( as is all of Disney) and well-themed. The resort has a decent
food court. The food was better than average but not pheneomenal.
Definitely buy yourself "the cup"(refillable mug). It definitely
saved us a lot of money. We generally ate there for a lite breakfast
and had our other meals at the parks. If you are watching your money,
definitely stay here. You save money on lodging , but don't sacrifice
fun or enertainment. Transportation times are ususally good when
using the disney buses, but if you have priority seating for breakfast
definitley get out there early. Mornings tend to be the longest
wait. Save some time to take a walk around this resort, you never
know what you'll find." (3/02) JUSTINE
"This resort
was great. I had heard so many bad things about the resorts before
we left, but it was the greatest time. We stayed in the Love Bug
Building, we were far enough from all the noise and yet close enought
to the pool and the food court. The rooms were on the smaller size,
but how much time do you really spend in the room anyway, and they
were very clean. Our year old daughter thought the giant icons and
pool were great. The food court was decently priced, always clea
n and there was a great selection. I would recommend buying the
refillable mug. We saved so much money on drinks and food eating
mostly at the food court that we had more money to spend on souveniers.
I plan on staying here again next time we go." (5/02) Janet
"My Husband,
2 daughters (3 and 5) and I stayed at the ASM Resort and the kids
absolutely LOVED it! We stayed in the Love Bug building, which I
was disappointed, but my 5 yr old loved it. It turned out great
for them because the Herbie in the courtyard was also a little water
area with fountains that shoot up out of the pavement and a shower
of water from a tire that they could run under. The rooms were great,
always ready to turn down when we came back for our naps. Don't
come ex p ecting the Ritz, it is a Value Resort, so no little bottles
of shampoos and only a box of soap with Mickey's pic on it, but
if you want a great priced hotel to sack out, that's inside the
park, with LOTS of props that the kids LOVE, this is the hotel for
you! The dining was okay. It was all a bit pricey, we didn't even
notice a price difference between lunch and dinner. There was a
great variety, though. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Resort.
It was just the perfect place for the kids, I couldn't imagine any
other hotel that they would have enjoyed more. So many photo ops
it's unbelievable! Anyone with small children have to stay here
just to see the expression on your kids' faces when they see a 3
story tall Buzz Lightyear!" (6/02) Misty Carroll
"The room
was very clean and very well designed i looked out of the window
and saw th jazz block from the music resort, I stayed in the dalmations
block I really liked the room. Dining was brilliant when im a home
and I go into a restaurant. I can smell the eating area as I go
through the doors It always remindes me! Overall it was excellant
and although it is a 3 Star it is still magical from staying on
disney land. The reception has a big check-in desk and a tv in the
lobby." (12/01) Mark
"The rooms
were SPOTLESS! We stayed in the Toy Story section on the main floor.
We actually had 2 rooms (connecting) because of our size (6), it
was cheaper and more space than 1 room at a deluxed resort, plus
2 bathrooms!! The rooms were great, the cleaning service was wonderful,
they made sure to take special care of my kids stuffed animals!
We wondered from day to day how they would be in the room? Each
time, they were put in a different position with a little piece
of candy! I t was the best-my kids got a kick out of it! The food
court was big, bright and noisy! But we were on vacation so we didn't
mind! They had several "stands" with a large variety of foods, we
mostly ate breakfast there and they had alot to choose from for
kids meals. Of course we all got a refillable mug since we are big
soda drinkers and plus my mom and husband like coffee. The kids
even got hot choclate a few times! The prices were ok, nothing too
outrageous, but again we were on vacation. It was opened until 11:30
p.m. and open a t 6 or 6:30 a.m., so it was very conveinent! The
pools were great-the Fantasia pool was bigger than the Might Duck
pool so my kids liked that one best. The HUGE statues of the characters,
Woody, Buzz, Pongo and Perdy were neat-we got LOTS of pictures,
even had the little car that you could sit in for more pictures!
The hockey masks at the Mighty Duck pool were also HUGE! Kids will
LOVE this resort, but as adults-we also loved it! We wouldn't hesitate
in staying there again with or without the kids! I recommend this
resort to anyone with kids or on a budget!!" (5/02) Angie
"The All-Star
resorts are well-themed and charmingly whimsical. They have wonderful
appeal to children, but the rooms are, in my opinion, too small
for a family. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the All-Star Movies,
but will spend a few extra dollars for a larger, quieter resort
next time." (1/02) Cindi Rosebecke
"This was
my third trip to Disney and I loved this hotel!! I am 26 years old
and I usually travel to WDW with friends my age. The All Star resorts
are geared towards children, but they are also fun for adults!!
I have stayed in All Star sports and loved that too, but All Star
Movies was a lot of fun! We stayed in the Toy Story section which,
like the rest of the hotel, was cleverly themed. Our room was clean
and well kept and although it was a little small for 4 adults, it
w a s perfect for the amount of time we spent in it. We were also
close to the food court, pool, arcade, bar, and laundry facilities.
The food court was conveninet for grabbing something quick. It offered
a good selection and I found it met my needs with plenty of healthy
snacks as well as fast food and sweets. The pool had a fun Fantasia
theme and the bar was close by. It was hot, so we spent a lot of
time at the pools and water parks, so the laundry facitlites helped
us keep wet smelly towels and bathing suits out of the bathroom.
The bus service was also excellent. We never waited more than 15
minutes to get to the parks. I have stayed off Disney property before,
and this is much more convenient and fun. This hotel is perfect
for someone on a budget who wants 24 hours of Disney magic!!!!"

"Our room
at Movies was great! My husband had faxed the hotel a few days before
we left requesting a room in the Toy Story building, and that was
just what we got. We got the best room in the place! We were on
the top floor, corner room, on the left side of Buzz Lightyear!
Our daughter (age 4) was thrilled beyond belief. The room was a
little on the small side, but I can't really complain since all
we did was sleep there. It really was quite comfortable. Every night
when we returned to our room, our daughter couldn't wait to see
what her Barbies and Beanie Babies would be up to. One evening they
were kicked back on the bed watching the Disney Channel, with the
remote between them. The food court was usually very crowded, espicially
around the beverage island. But seating was more than ample. The
food was pretty good, although a bit pricey. And if you walked out
of there hungry, it was your own fault. They seemed to have something
for everyone. We had a great time. It's a wonderful atmosphere for
kids and families. There is a certain energy in the main building;
it's a happy place. Everyone, when we were there, was smiling and
seemed to be very glad to be there. I hate reading reviews by these
people who have complaints about everything. You're at Disney for
crying out loud! A hot crowded bus full of tired children is better
than a day at work any time. (And I really do love my job!)"

"A GREAT VALUE.
We went at the "dead time" of year, and it was great. The place
wasn't all that busy, so service was rather good. The one bad thing
I have to say about Movies, is STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THE FOOD
COURT. Decent selection, but very expensive. We ate there the night
we got in, and spent $27 for the two of us. The next night we ate
at Planet Hollywood at downtonw, and only spent $29. Needless to
say, the food quality was much better at Planet than at the food
court. The food was ok, but the price was just to high. As for the
rest of the resort, I really liked. Please keep in mind I only paid
$47 a night. The room was clean, decent size, and the locked worked.
This is all i was expecting for that price at a Disney Hotel. I
was very surprised at the quality of service for the price. We are
going back in December 2002, and are going to once again stay at
All Star Movies." (12/00) rich czarny
