Resort hopping

If you've got a day or so to spare, it's nice to look around the different WDW resorts. Here is one possible route you can take, & things to do when you're at each resort.

Starting at the Polynesian resort (get there by bus from TTC, or walk from TTC) - have a character breakfast at O'hana, ot try tonga toast from the Kona Cafe.Check out the beach & have a quick rest in a hammock.

Walk to the Grand Floridian, calling in at the wedding pavilion on your way.

At the Grand Floridian, hire a water mouse & go for a spin on Seven Seas Lagoon, getting a great view of the Magic Kingdom. If it's the right time of day, have afternoon tea in the garden view lounge or just sit in the lobby & listen to the piano player.

Jump on the monorail & get off at the Contemporary resort. Check out the shops, grab a snack or have a walk on the beach.

Get on the boat to Fort Wilderness. Visit the petting farm, take a horseback or pony ride.

Either walk or take a bus to Wilderness Lodge. Have lunch or dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe; relax in a rocking chair whilst admiring the lobby; take a tour of the lodge; ask for the hidden Mickey list & go hunting; watch out for the geyser!

Take the boat back to MK. From there get the bus to Dixie Landings. Get something to eat or drink, have a stroll around the resort, hire a boat, or just take a rest.

Walk along the river or catch the boat to Port Orleans for a leisurely look around.

Catch the boat to Downtown Disney. Get the bus to the Caribbean Beach Resort. Have a walk around the resort, taking in the landscaping & theming. Have a rest on one of the beaches with a nice cool drink!

Take a bus back to Downtown Disney & then a bus to the Yacht & Beach or get the bus to Epcot & walk to the Yacht & Beach. Have a burger or an ice cream sundae at Beaches & Cream. If it's around 9pm, watch IllumiNations from outside Epcot.

Take a stroll around to the Boardwalk. Visit the shops along the water front, call in at one of the pubs, or try out the midway games. Fantasia Gardens is only a short walk away if you fancy a game of miniature golf.

From here you can get a bus back to Downtown Disney, & either go on to visit Coronado Springs & the All Stars, or finish your tour.

You could plan to buy a souvenir, a snack or a drink at each resort. Or try out the recreation options at each resort. Try to collect pressed pennies from each resort. There are lots of things to do & see at each resort.

"I'd definitely suggest spending some time boating at DXL. Get a canopy boat at DXL, and just explore the waterways. You can make it all the way down to the Disney Institute from there, and it's very relaxing. It's fun watching all the resorts go by. Most of all, have fun!!" JM
