Regina’s Disneymoon Report April 18-May 2, 2004

Day 8 – Sunday
Another Early Morning. Get up around 8 and do the morning thing again. Right away we, head over to National to return the car. Take care of all of those issues and we catch the shuttle back to the TTC. Same driver again and once again is making sure to offer everyone a map. Off we go and we make a pit stop at Port Orleans to pick up some other people (he gave them a map too). Didn’t get to see much of the resort but I’ll definitely have to see one day. Looks pretty nice and I wouldn’t mind staying there. Finally get over to TTC and hop on the ferry to Magic Kingdom with all the other thousands of people. As the ferry pulls up, chip and dale are up with the captain in the booth dancing away. Nothing spectacular but it was cute and fun to watch. Get to Magic Kingdom, make our way up to the Crystal Palace and give them our names. It took a while for us to get called but once we sat down, we knew why. They gave us a two person table by the window and made a little heart out of confetti Mickey’s. It was a nice touch and I took about 17 pictures of it from 8 different angles. The characters didn’t get over to us much but this is a pretty crowded place and there were a lot of kids. But, I wasn’t too upset. 1. I’m not crazy about the Pooh characters and 2. I would rather the kiddies get to spend more time with them than me. When we were about ready to leave, the CM comes over to us and hands us a certificate to “The Vinacco Family” and it’s signed by all of the characters. Then we made our way over to Adventureland and hit Pirates and the Tiki Room. After that, for some reason we took a walk in Swiss Family Treehouse. This was something I didn’t do since I was a kid and it was pretty enjoyable but I think I can skip it the next few trips. After that, it was big Thunder Mountain Railroad and then we took the bridge back over to Liberty Square. Another quick ride on the Haunted Mansion and lunch at the Charter House then back over to the porch of Liberty Tree tavern to watch the parade. The rest of the day is pretty much a blur at this point but we made sure we hit all of the fun stuff like Mickey’s Phillharmagic, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and Carousel of Progress (a good nap for the hubby). Oh yeah another good nap for the hubby was Hall of Presidents. Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern again and a slow walk out while everyone was crowding in for Wishes. Picked up the first bus we saw and ended up over at Coronado Springs waiting for the Downtown Disney Bus. Watched a couple of shows at Comedy Warehouse and off we went to bed.

About Today: Loved Crystal Palace as Usual. It is so much fun to watch the kiddie’s react with the Characters, Liberty Tree Tavern is a great place to catch the 3:00 Parade, When the Husband is Grouchy, take him to Hall of Presidents for a Nap.
