Regina’s Disneymoon Report April 18-May 2, 2004

Day 1 (Sunday)
Early morning start (AAAAACK) not easy since we barely slept the night before with the wedding being over at midnight. Breakfast at the hotel and off to the Airport. Left around 10AM after saying goodbye’s to Clint’s sis and bro from RI and head over to Kennedy. Flight was at 1:30 but because of impending traffic (how can the Mets not know were flying out of Kennedy that day?) we needed to leave early due also to security and what not. Long story short, it only took about 15 minutes to get there and we were 3 hours early. And, Murphy’s law kicks in here where there were no problems in security and we walked right on through. Now, you do know that if we had hit the traffic, and left late we would have gotten stopped on security and ended up running at Mach 3 so as not to miss the plane. [A small sidebar on the flight: I need to give credit where it is deserved so I want to take a minute to really compliment Jet Blue (for and of you considering them). The seats were comfortable, the idiot in front of me that reclined still wasn’t even touching my legs and (of no fault to Jet Blue) we didn’t have the stinky person sitting next to us and we watched DirectTV the whole time!. I highly recommend them!]

Safe, happy landing in Orlando (I just love to watch those palm trees swaying as we fly in), pick up the luggage at the evil spinning device and call Happy Limo for our pickup spot. Now, I don’t remember what I said when I made the ressie but I must have mentioned that it was our honeymoon or we just had dumn luck. We walk over to our spot and about 3 minutes later a gigantic black hummer stretch pulls up. I become more excited when I see the Happy Limo license plate and the driver pulls out and says “Williams”? I think he must have seen my deflated look and started smirking and said nah…I’m just kidding, I’m looking for Vinacco. He packs all of our stuff in the front of the limo and we hop in and what is playing……Harry Potter. This is all too good to be true! Make our grocery stop and off to OKW. Give the driver a nice tip of $50 (we really felt it was the nice thing to do after Happy Limo upgraded us to this nice limo for FREE and we were in very good moods so we were generous) and check in. As we are checking in, CM is giving us an option of where we wanted to stay. One of the rooms was all the way on the other side of the resort where he said it was more quiet and the other was literally right across the street from the Custom House. We said that we were from the city so the noise of the busses won’t bother us any and we were more into the convenience of staying closer to the bus. Get over into the room, bell services arrives and we tip the CM (unfortunately not as generous as the driver) and settle in.

Next stop……West Side. We decided to eat over at Rainforest Café for dinner. So we decide to take the boat from OKW instead of the bus. But, there was entirely too many people waiting and the boat only holds about 9 so we decide to take the bus instead. We had just missed the bus so we had to wait about 20 minutes for the next one. Rainforest Café was OK. Not great for us just because we were too picky and weren’t into a lot of the foods they had to offer. Clint orders the huge volcano desert and we barely finish it. After dinner, we head on over to World Of Disney to pick up the Bride and Groom hats. Another side bar…..Clint was pretty much refusing to wear his hat. After much deliberation and my final word being that I would staple it to his head if he didn’t cooperate, he finally gave in. I guess it was less painless then staples in the skull? Head back over to OKW for some much needed sleep and decide where to go the next day.

Day 2...
