The allure of Mediterranean hospitality is experienced at Universal
Orlando with the Portofino Bay Hotel, a Loews Hotel, which opened
in September 1999. Featuring 750 elegantly appointed rooms, the
Portofino Bay is imbued with the ambiance and romantic harborage
of the Italian seaside village of Portofino.
The Portofino Bay, the first on-site hotel at Universal, creates
the nucleus of the ideal destination resort for the 21st century
known as Universal Orlando, which includes two distinctively different
theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, as well
as Orlando's hottest entertainment complex, CityWalk. n addition
to an imaginative setting, the property offers Smart Rooms. Other
amenities include eight restaurants and lounges, a 10,600 square-foot
health spa, three swimming pools, two bocce ball courts and a full-service
business center. Convention facilities include 42,000 square feet
of meeting and banquet space, including a 15,000 square-foot Grand
Ballroom and a 7,500 square-foot Junior Ballroom.

early admission, "Universal Express" access to park attractions
and priority seating at restaurants. In addition, electronic guest
keys double as a charge card, allowing you to conveniently purchase

Even a separate child’s card is available with pre-set spending
limits. We also provide pagers for teenagers, giving them the freedom
to explore on their own without being completely out of contact
with their families. Contained within our property are three pools
with whirlpools, an 11,000-square-foot spa and fitness center, a
bicycle and job path, upscale shops, and tons of supervised activities
for children. It’s a veritable theme park inside a theme park.
