One.Tel
If you plan on arranging your own holiday, and ringing America
a lot, especially to book priority seatings, it's worth you signing
up for a service such as One.Tel.
I joined a few years ago, and having spent what adds up to hours
on the phone to the US booking resorts and dining, I've saved a
small fortune!
It costs nothing, and there is no paying up front. You simply register
your phone number and whenever you want to use the service, you
dial a 4-digit code first, which routes your call through their
system.
I'm usually very wary and mistrusting of 'save money' schemes,
but have to say I'm completely satisfied with One.Tel.
You can sign up at their website - www.onetel.co.uk
- or call them, I don't have the number to hand, but you'll find
their adverts in national newspapers.
Virgin
Flying Club
If you fly to Orlando (or anywhere else!) with Virgin Atlantic,
there's nothing lost in joining their Flying Club.
It's free to join, and each time you fly with Virgin Atlantic,
you earn points. Points can redeemed for various things, including
free flights and upgrades. Points can also be earned with various
'Partners' such as hotel chains, and other minor airlines.
Email me for info on
how to sign up.
NOTE - there is a separate club called 'Frequent Virgins', exclusively
for people who book their third holiday through Virgin Holiday brochures.
