Pixie Magic at WDW!

Today's event was one we have done before but every time we find tears in our eyes at the end of the event. It has always ended so happily. This is our buried treasure engagement event and today's version took place on the Beach at the WDW Beach Club. The client, William, wanted to become engaged to Elizabeth. He contacted the Pixies of Gifts of a Lifetime and explained that he wanted something romantic that would take place at WDW but not in one of the parks. We had just the perfect event to suggest. Elizabeth was completely unaware of the coming event and thought that William was just taking her for a walk in the beach after dinner. As they walked along the water line William 'found' a bottle in the sand. In the bottle was a treasure map in the form of a poem. It gave directions to the "treasure of romance." Elizabeth concluded that this must be something that was set up by the hotel for someone else but William pointed out that there was no one around stopping them and that it must be for whoever happened upon it first. The map-poem did say "they who find it first. . . "

So Elizabeth and William began to follow the directions to the location of the buried treasure. When they found the right location William began to dig with his hands while on his knees. Elizabeth stayed on her feet, as if to make a quick exit should the "real" players in the treasure make an appearance. (Giggles). William pulled from the sand a sweet little treasure chest. He handed it to Elizabeth and told her to open it. Elizabeth did and inside she found it was full of rice (This was something William said was their private joke), and a note that read "You have always been all the treasure I need. Please marry me."

Elizabeth fell to her knees shaking (which happens a lot with this event). She was crying by the time William got the ring on her finger. Elizabeth was saying yes, yes over and over again and William was getting teary-eyed, too. The pixies waited until they left the beach and then went over to Elizabeth and William just to give them a small gift. Along with a roll of film of their event the Pixies presented them with a guide to weddings from the engagement to the I do. They have a lot to plan!

Pixies love a good cry!
