Reviews
"My Dad booked the Princess Tea Party as a surprise for my
Mum and me. I was very excited and couldn’t sleep the night
before. I wore my best dress and my Princess Aurora pink gloves
and bag.
My sister was too little to be good at the party, so Dad took her
to the Magic Kingdom to do some rides. Mum and me met Joanne and
MM and my friend K who’s Mum had booked for her as a surprise
too.
We had to line up outside the tea room and one by one we met Miss
Rose Petal, who gave us a crown to wear. They took us to our seats.
Our names were wrote on cards but they spelt mine wrong, they put
Loid! There was a special Princess Aurora Disney Doll sat on our
chairs. She had her pink dress on and a wand and crown. Our napkin
was folded up and held together with a bracelet we got to keep.
The dolls had their own teacup, saucer and spoon to match ours.
Miss Rose Petal told us the story of Sleeping Beauty and we learnt
to sing Hail to the King and do the sign language. Lady Leaf played
lots of Disney tunes on the keyboards while we ate our food. We
had sandwiches cut into shapes with peanut butter and jam and some
with ham and cheese. Mum had some cheese with crackers and sandwiches.
The ladies poured us apple juice from teapots into our china cups.
Mum had tea. There was a special Princess cake and it was cut up
and we all got really big piece!
Princess Aurora came into the room to meet us. We had to walk round
the room with her. After, she came to each table to talk to us and
we took some photos and she signed my autograph book.
The ladies gave us roses, I gave one to my Mum. Joanne put hers
in her mouth and then put the tea cosy on her head and we were all
giggling. My Mum took a picture of us all.
When it was time to go, we had to go upstairs to the shop and we
got a certificate and some scrapbooking stuff, then we said goodbye
to our friends.
I had a brilliant time and want to go again!" Lois
"We were lucky enough to be able to attend one of the trial
Tea Parties last October. We arrived at the Grand Floridian to find
a whole lot of young princesses eagerly awaiting to be seated. Each
young princess was called into the Garden View Tea Room individually,
presented with a tiara and sprinkled with rose petals. Waiting at
our table was a My Disney Girl doll for each young princess, along
with a bracelet, and miniature version of the fine china used in
the tea room.
Whilst we tucked into nicely arranged sandwiches, fine teas, and
yummy cake, we were entertained by Rose Petal who retold the story
of Sleeping Beauty. She then went onto sing some of our favourite
Disney songs, accompanied by Lady Leaf on the Piano.
Soon it was time for Princess Aurora to arrive and greet each young
princess, and some of us older princesses too ;o) The young princesses
were given a rose to present to each of us adults.
Sadly, it was soon time to leave, but not before heading upstairs
to the gift shop, were the girls were given a name certificate for
their new dolls, and princess scrapbook page.
It was a wonderful morning, filled with much laughter. Although
a bit pricey, it was something special to do as a one-off, ane left
many memories." Joanne
