Mardi Gras at Pleasure Island

A straight-from-New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration sizzles at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island Feb. 23-27 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The pageantry, entertainment and cuisine of an authentic street party in New Orleans transforms Pleasure Island into the place in Florida to have a real Mardi Gras experience.

Highlights of the five-night party include:

Two nightly parades featuring Krewe of Caesar (8 and 10 p.m.), an authentic krewe that visits Pleasure Island straight from New Orleans.

Live Zydeco and Dixieland jazz performances by Big Al and the Heavyweights and Crawdaddio.

Masqueraders throwing loads of beads and doubloons to the crowd.

Stiltwalkers, jugglers and face painters adding to the variety of entertainment.

Savory Cajun and Creole cuisine.

Parties at eight Pleasure Island clubs to complete the ultimate party experience.

The ultimate Mardi Gras celebration at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island is included with regular Pleasure Island admission ($21 including tax) or in the Pleasure Island Annual Pass ($58.25 including tax).
