Visitors to
Orlando can save money year-round by using an area-wide discount
card available free-of-charge through the Orlando/Orange County
Convention & Visitors Bureau, Inc. (Orlando CVB).
The Orlando
Magicard, valid for up to six people, allows vacationers to save
up to $500 (based on a family of four with an average stay of
six nights) at 85 area establishments from attractions, accommodations,
restaurants and dinner theaters to ground transportation and shopping
malls.
Orlando Magicard
holders must present their card at participating establishments
to receive the offer and cardholders must request the Magicardâ
offer when making reservations. The 2000 Magicard offers expire
February 28, 2001 unless otherwise specified and some restrictions
apply.
Consumers
in the United States and Canada may order the Orlando Magicard
by calling 1-800-551-0181 or by visiting the Orlando Web site
at www.Go2orlando.com. A complete visitor information package
including Orlando's Official Visitors Guide will also be included.
Vacationers
planning immediate travel to Orlando may request their free Orlando
Magicard in person at the Official Visitor Center located at 8723
International Drive, at the southeast corner of International
Drive and Austrian Row (open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the
year except Dec. 25). The Official Visitor Center also provides
brochures on area hotels, restaurants and attractions; provides
maps and directions; menus from local restaurants; and sells discount
attraction tickets and Orlando merchandise.
More than
6.8 million visitors have ordered the money saving card for their
vacations since the Orlando CVB began offering the Magicard in
1991.
