What is
the DVC?
The DVC is the Disney Vacation Club. You purchase a specific number
of points at a home resort, and also pay annual dues. The DVC
membership is a limited ownership plan, and expires in 2042. You
then use your points to pay for a stay at a DVC resort (or many
other resorts throughout the world). The number of points required
depends on which resort, the type of room, and the time of year.
How is
Disney Vacation Club, Disney's vacation ownership program, different
from traditional time-share programs?
Just as Walt Disney imagineered an amusement park into a theme
park, Disney Vacation Club was created on the foundation of earlier
time-share programs. What sets Disney's vacation ownership apart
from other plans is the Disney difference: gracious hospitality,
Disney quality, and creativity throughout. We also offer unprecedented
flexibility in choosing among a wide variety of vacation experiences
(based on availability, of course):
Stay for a night, a weekend, a week, or longer
Plan a romantic winter getaway or a summer adventure with the
kids
Choose from a variety of luxurious accommodations, from deluxe
Studios to 1- and 2-Bedroom Vacation Homes to 3-Bedroom Grand
Villas
Why is
Disney involved in vacation ownership?
Disney Vacation Club was created in 1991 to meet the needs of
families vacationing at the Walt Disney World® Resort every year
or two years who thought it would be better to own a real-estate
interest in a Disney Resort. Today, Disney Vacation Club has grown
beyond the Walt Disney World Resort and offers over 45,000 Members
magical vacations at over 350 destinations worldwide through Member
Getaways.

each of the four Disney Vacation Club resorts have to offer?

As a Member,
do I always have to stay at a Disney Vacation Club Resort?
Vacation flexibility is key to membership in Disney Vacation Club.
As a Member, you may select from any of the four Disney Vacation
Club Resorts and several superior Resorts at the Walt Disney World®
Resort, Disneyland® Resort, and Disneyland® Paris Resort (subject
to availability, of course). Through the Member Getaways Program,
you may, for example, exchange reserved Disney Vacation Club Resort
accommodations for swimming in Hawaii, skiing the Rocky Mountains,
experiencing a safari in Africa, or cruising the tropics through
Disney Cruise Line.
May I vacation
more than once a year?
Yes, that's part of what makes Disney Vacation Club unique. You
may vacation as many times as your real-estate interest allows.
You may escape to the Walt Disney World® Resort in the winter,
go on a cruise in the summer, and still enjoy the fall foliage
in Vermont.
Is Disney
Vacation Club really owned by The Walt Disney Company?
Yes, Disney Vacation Club was created by Disney Vacation Development,
Inc., a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company.
If I seek
additional information about Disney Vacation Club, will I be pressured
to buy?
Although we give you the opportunity to purchase, there is absolutely
no pressure or obligation to buy. That is the Disney difference.
