"The Chef Tour is a 6 course sampling of several of the signature
dishes on the menu. Cost is $65 without the wine pairings. My wife
and I enjoy fine dining and we would do this again in a heart beat.
Next time we will do the wine pairings which will add andother $30.
We had PS ressies ane were seated right away with no wait at a table
with a view overlooking the lake. The service was great with 5 waiters
hovering over us for the 2 hours and they explained each couse in
detail. We would rank this meal and the Chef Tour experience with
a meal ay Victoria and Alberts. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give
it a strong 10 :) " (5/02) Popie
"We dined in this restaurant in early afternoon. We were very
promptly seated, our server was friendly and knowledgeable about
the menu, and made excellent recommendations, which we took. The
food was great, service was excellent, but this was a VERY EXPENSIVE
lunch! For two people our lunch was approximately $80! It was great,
but very expensive. I highly recommend the place for it's food and
service, but be prepared for the high cost." Mary
"This was our last down day and DH and I headed to the GF
at 11am to have our spa treatments done. We were out of there by
a little after 1pm and by that time we were starving. Since we had
about 8 wishes still floating around we decided to pick a restaurant
in DD Westside and go for it. BOY...WGP WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE!! I
took the chance of walking in without a PS and we only waited for
5 minutes....if that long, to be seated. I have to say, after we
were seated, I got quite po'd at the time DH and I waited for our
server. I saw he was busy, but didn't understand why he passed our
table several times before he got to us. Well, after Alex broke
it all down for me, I changed my opinion and knew exactly where
he was coming from! He had 2 tables givin' him hell and the computer
kept kicking him out and he was really over it by then. I told Alex
to sit down and join us and I'd take over in about 5 minutes or
so. He grinned and said it's a thought! Well...this was the lunch
DH and I lost our minds on!! How come... THE FOOD WAS THE BOMB!!!!!!!
We started with the Tuna Peno Roll which is sushi. I missed out
on sushi at California Grill and was soooooo glad that we had the
opportunity once again. Oh it was the best! Any of you who know
anything about sushi know what wasabi is, and you also know that
you only need a little of it to get the effect. You guys...my DH
lost his mind...he used every drop of it after I ate my share of
sushi!! I also had to try the tortilla soup...oh yum, yum, yum!
I'm ready to go to my restaurant and slap my cooks for not being
able to get ours that good!! DH helped me eat it as it was a HUGE
bowl. DH did the Weinerschnitzel with a lemonade and I did the Shrimp
Stir-fry with a tea. Their tea had a tropical taste to it and it
was quite good. You guys.....this food was so good, I was ready
to slap someone's mamma!! We did the apple pie ala mode and I have
two words for it.... ENORMOUS & EXQUISITE!! After DH and I ate as
much as we could, we just sat back in our seats and took a deep
breath. We were dining at Boma one more time that evening and wondering
would we make it. Alex had a hard time getting our discovery magic
card to go through, so we had the manager call it in manually. Our
total was...are you ready....$69.70 and with the gratuity of $10.35
our grand total was.... $80.05!!!!!!! HOW BOUT THEM APPLES!!?? I
threw Alex down another 5 dollars because he well deserved it. He
was getting his tushy spanked the whole time we were there and he
still found the time to chat with us a bit. DH and I enjoyed WGP
so much, we decided to do it for lunch before we hit the road on
Monday the 28th." Denise
"The service at Wolfgang Pucks was absolutely the worst i've
ever experienced."
"Wolfgang Puck's Express (the fast food "Puck" in the Downtown
Disney Marketplace) is grossly overpriced and poor in quality. The
service was poor and disorganized. I had a cheese pizza. It cost
over $8.00 and it was a "mini", a small one. I have had better pizzas
in bars (pubs) in Milwaukee and Chicago. In fact, Wolfgang Puck's
frozen pizzas from the supermarket are substantially better."
