The atmosphere is established even before you set foot in the restaurant.
As you wander the winding alleyways of an ancient Moroccan village,
you come upon this palatial restaurant adorned in magnificent tile

"We arrived at the Marakesh just in time for our PS at 6:00.
We went straight in. There was no crowd thank goodness. It was very
nice to have some breathing room. I only wish we had been on the
floor level by the stage. Next time I will request it. This is by
far the best dining experience we had at Disney. We just got back
a few hours ago and I had to write my review of this place. The
atmosphere is breathtaking and the belly dancer was the best. We
were there for two of her shows. The first one she invited the children
to come and dance. My 3 year old daughter was the only one of my
four children to go. She was enchanted by her. I think she thought
it was Jasmine. When she did her next show she did not invite anyone
but she saw how badly my 3 year old wanted to go on the stage. She
came and got her and let her dance with her. Thank you!!
Oh, and the food was GREAT! I had the beef shish kabob and my husband
had a combination dinner. Everything was very tasty. Try the Mint
Tea." (10/03) Beth
"My parents and I had lunch here in May 2002 and 2000. It
is my mom's favorite spot for lunch. We had a PS for noon and were
seated immediately - the first ones there. The atmosphere of this
restaurant is great. The tile work is amazing, so be sure to look
around. The live music is a nice touch and the belly dancer makes
for a fun dose of entertainment - especially when she gets a volunteer
from the audience! The service was very good and very quick. We
all had the Sultan Sampler both times. This is a very good dish
and it's a perfect size for lunch. Also, be sure to have some Morrocan
Mint Tea - it is so refreshing on a hot Florida afternoon! For dessert,
my parents split the Bastilla for Two and I had the Crepes Casablanca.
Both were very sweet and very good. I recommend this restaurant
to anyone who wants to try something a little different. You won't
be disappointed!" Shane
"We ate here for lunch. We had a priority seating for 2:30,
we arrived at 1 and asked if we could get in. No problem, there
was only one other person there. There was a gentleman playing music
and a "belly dancer" who invited my daughters to dance. The kids
menu was great! The kids could get, among other things, beef shish
ka bobs. They loved it. I ordered a combo platter, it was a great
variety of this type of food. I would definetly recommend this.
The serivce was very good as well." (6/02) Deb
"I was there in March of 1998 and the food was amazing. It
was fully of textures and flavors. When I go back to Disney this
year I plan on stopping back in for another wonderful meal. It was
not crowded at all, but it still wouldn't hurt to reserve a place
for good measure." Richard
"We were seated right away for dinner. We had the Marakash
feast. The food was different, but very good. There was plenty of
it too. The service was really great. We really couldn't see much
of the belly dancer, our main reason for going, because she did
not circulate around. That was dissapointing! The dessert was covered
with honey,so if you don't like honey ask before ordering. The coffee
was HORRIBLE. We had Morrocan coffee. Turpintine would have tasted
better:) The meal was expesive;family of 5 with tip $200.There was
no child price wich we felt wasn'r fair. It was an experience, we
are glad we did it. The kids enjoyed themselves and so did we, but
we would not go back." angela
"My friend and I lunched at the Restaurant Marrakesh in Sept.
2000. From what I understand, it is regularly not crowded so you
probably won't need priority seating, though we had it since I don't
leave anything to chance. The dining experience is "exotic" and
supremely entertaining. My "burger and fries" friend enjoyed her
meal as much as I did. I would have loved it if we could have sat
on the floors and eaten with our hands, but the experience was a
little more American than that. It was delicious. I highly recommend
this restaurant." Amy
"The Marakesh Restaurant in Morrocco is almost always half
empty because people don't realize it's there. It is tucked way
back in the showcase and is absolutly gorgeous. The tables are a
tab bit close together, but since it's not crowded it isn't a problem.
The food is very good, not expensive and the waiters were very friendly."

"The Restaurant Marrakesh is vastly underrated. I have never
eaten there when there were many other patrons. People don't know
what they're missing - the food is excellent, and the restaurant
itself is quite lovely."
