This old Southern cotton mill, complete with a cotton press that
is powered by a working water wheel, has been turned into a food
court featuring five specialty shops.
The mill offers full breakfasts, fresh bakery goods, pizza, pasta,
hamburgers, fried chicken, Tex-Mex favourites & a country store
loaded with picnic goodies. A selection of beer and wine is available.

"The Sassagoula Floatworks in Port Orleans has improved their
red beans and rice to acceptable New Orleans quality. The beignets
are very good (close to Cafe du Monde in the French Quarter quality)
if you get them when they are very fresh. Ask the clerk at the register
if they just made them. If they are more than one half hour old,
don't buy them. By the way, in New Orleans try the beignets at Morning
Call out near the road to the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway if you
get the chance. The area used to be called "Fat City", not because
