"Dinner was absolutely great, an even better value on the MYW + dining!  We enjoyed fireworks from MK on the beach after dinner!  What a special way to end our WDW vacation!" (8/05)

"We had originally made PS for Kona Cafe', but when we got there we realized that we had booked the wrong restaurant. We went over to the desk at O'Hana and actually got seated in less than a 1/2 hour! The food (which is neverending!) was excellent. The service was prompt and courteous; we never had to ask for more of anything. Also we had pineapple and caramel dip for the first time ever...try it you'll love it! My daughter loved the coconut race and hula hoops too! We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at this restaurant and went back one more time during that vacation('02). This year('03)we already have our PS for 2 nights at O'Hana:)" (5/03) J.S.

"My parents and I had dinner here in May 2000. We had a PS, but had to wait about 40 minutes to be seated. We had some fun, fruity drinks at the bar before we were taken to our table. I've read good things about the view from this restaurant, but we were seated behind a wall, looking at another wall, so we weren't overly impressed. There was a hula hoop contest midway through dinner, which we couldn't see from where we were sitting. So, for us the setting was pretty disappointing. The service, however, was very good and I like that the cooks even said, "Aloha, cousins" as we were being led to our table. I thought the food was pretty good and enjoyed that it was family-style. I especially liked the wontons, the turkey and the shrimp and the pineapple with caramel sauce for dessert. My mom wasn't overly impressed with the food, but my dad, like me, thought it was good. I wouldn't mind giving Ohana another try, but I'd definitely request a table near a window!" (5/03) Shane

"My hubby and I had dinner with 8:40pm PS reservation on Jan 7, 2003, the 2nd night we arrived for our honeymoon (after a 24 hour flight from Hong Kong). To be honest, we were really tired by the time we got to Polynesian, as we had a LONG day with early entry at MGM Studio, plus the dinner firework show. However, we insisted to go to Ohana, due to the great comments on this website. We got a table besides the window and were not disappointed. The appetizers were so good that we finished all the pork dumplings + pineapple sauce in no time. The food really "woke us up". Then, the meat. I like the beef the best, while my hubby liked the turkey and strimp. Last but definitely not the least, was the dessert. The pineapple with caramel source was SO GOOD that I think I will come back to this restaurant just because of the dessert! Service was very quick and attentive as well. The entertainment was great in this restaurant as well. Not long after our seating, we also got the chance to watch the water peagent and I thought that was quite special (after reading all about it online during my 8 months research about WDW)! Didn't participate in the coconut race but was fun to look at the kids and teenagers playing. I definitely will back to this restaurant when I come back to WDW again! I'd definitely take my kids here (when we have kids I mean). Highly recommended!" Connie Leung

"We had priority seating, and we had to wait 10 minutes, the food was excellent and the services too. I highly recommend it. For $19,00 you eat all you want. The food is very good, huge shrimps and other seafood, and exotic beverages. The view is extermely gorgeous and romantic. You can see the lights of the castle at the Magic Kingdom as they change their colors, and if you are lucky, you can watch the Electrical Parade at the Seven Seas Lagoon." (11/02) Silvia

"One place I highly recommend for dinner is O'Hana's at the Polynesian Resort. It's a fun atmosphere and they have activities for kids during the meal. Most importantly, what you get is great taste and great value. The restaurant is centered around an open pit grill with flames shooting out from all sides. That's because they cook large skewers of shrimp, pork, turkey and beef and then keep bringing them to you throughout the meal. This is an all-you-can-eat dinner with personality. You need pr i ority seating for this place. We were seated within 5 minutes of our arrival and had excellent service from a man who went all out to entertain our 2-year-old. After dinner you have time to pop over to watch the fireworks at Magic Kingdom (you can take a free boat ride or use the monorail) or you can stay at the Polynesian and watch from there. Great view of Cinderella's Castle from the Polynesian. Overall, tremendous experience and great taste. Dont go to WDW without dining at O'Hana's." (8/02) Jerry

"Hands down the best dining on disney property. The staff are always great, and with priority seating your always seated quickly. the food is wonderful. All the steak, chicken, shrimp, and pork you can eat. The food is prepared over a hardwood fire, and served on skewers. it has an asian flare and is mouth watering. We go every visit(twice a year). Tips! Tips! Arrange priority seating in conjunction with the fireworks at magic kingdom. The restraunt has glass walls, and a great view of magic kingdom. During the fireworks at days end, the restraunt dims the lights and offers a great view. Imagine a wonderful meal and view, while others are sitting on a hard sidewalk watching the fireworks. always tell them it's your first visiteven if it isn't. The service and excitement are better." "My family and I dined at O'hana's sometime in late April 2001. When you are being escorted to your seat, you are given a brief tour of the place by your host/hostess. The food here is wonderful. The first thing your waitress/waiter brings to your table is an item containing many appetizers. These appetizers include honey wings, pork dumplings (which are like meatballs), an unusual type of slaw, salad with some type of lime dressing, and other vegetables. Afterwards, they bring yo u a variety of meats grilled over an open flame. These meats include sirloin steak, jumbo shrimp, pork loin, and turkey. My favorite meat was the turkey. Although the steak was good, I would have enjoyed it more if the restaurant had steak sauce. This place has a coulple of activities for children during the meal. One is a coconut race. The kids get a broom and a coconut and try to sweep their coconut around the restaurant as quick as possible. They also get the kids to play with a hula-hoop while island music is played. If you get their at the right time, request a window looking out towards the Magic Kingdom. When the fireworks are shot over the castle, the lights are lowered in the restaurant and the same music played in Magic Kingdom is played in the restaurant during the fireworks. Our seat was also a good spot for the water parade. Overall, this was a wonderful dining experience. I would recommend this place to anyone." (5/02) Kennith Loyd

"This is a terrific place to dine at WDW! It is a little pricey in comparison with other eateries. However, the atmosphere and view make you feel like you are in Tahiti. The meal is out-of-this-world! Not the typical burger and fries. Eat light throughout the day and save up, because you will need extra room - the tables are too small to hold everything they bring to you. Be adventuresome and try some of the wonderful flavors of the South Pacific! I liked it better than the Luau!!" Phil

"O'hana Restaurant is Awesome...the waitress even printed the recipes for me on the Resort's letterhead! We now enjoy some of fabulous marinated chicken here at home. Just ask your server if they ware willing to share the recipes for your favorite items. (Keep in mind that you'll have to 'cut' them down....they are designed to feed armies of people)"
