During the fiery days of America's birth, a giant
oak in Boston called the Liberty Tree became a meeting place for
a group of patriots known as the Sons of Liberty. Formed in 1765
to fight the Stamp Tax imposed by the British, these rebels circulated
petitions, denounced oppression, sang songs, drank toasts, and hanged
unpopular officials in effigy. In honor of the Sons of Liberty,
our tavern serves as a place for independent souls looking to quench
their thirst or savor a hearty meal.
Celebrate the American spirit in our re-creation of
a colonial inn. Everything's authentic, right down to the windows
made by 18th-century casting methods. For lunch, enjoy hearty tavern
meals served a la carte. For dinner enjoy a family-style meal at
the "Liberate Your Appetite" Character dinner, featuring your favorite
Disney Characters.

"We has priority seating for New Years Eve and everything
went just great. It was for a table of 6 and a table of 4. They
sat us at adjoinging table and we never felt rushed to leave. The
characters came to our tables throughout the evening. (Minnie, Chip,
Dale, Pluto & Meeko). The presented us with a 'proclamation'
to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. They even gave us a keepsake
certificate after they finished ringing the dinner bell! We would
definately go back. Our 2 year old grandaughter was treated like
royalty." (1/04) Ray Soda
"This was an excellent character dinner, we visited on our
last evening at WDW on October 2nd 2002 with our children aged 4
and 2 and they had a great time. The food was of a very high standard
(the mashed potatoes were out of this world!) and lots of it the
service was first class we never had to ask for anything. The character
interaction was great - our 2 year old had only just got used to
the characters and she had decided that Minnie was her favourite
so she was delighted when Minnie pulled up a chair and sat her on
her lap, so we got some great photos at last. To finish off our
last evening magically one of the ladies at the entrance on our
way out gave our children a handful of 'pixie dust' which will be
treasured for ever." (1/03) Lisa Whitton
"All the mashed potatoes, turkey, smoked pork cops and mac
& cheese you can eat! And joined by Goofy in early American
garb complete with a three cornered hat! We had a great time! Minnie
is beautiful in a royal blue velvet gown with White lace Cap. The
desserts are fun! Mine was served in a jack o lantern!" (11/02)

"Liberty Tree was a wonderful experience. Not only it is a
great character meal but the food was outstanding. It was well worth
the money. It was convenient because the characters came to your
table and the interaction was great. We will definitely return to
Liberty Tavern our next trip I highly recommend it to anyone especially
for a character meal!!!!!" Rachel Palmer
"We were unable to get into Cinderella's Royal Table and wanted
our 2 year old to have a character dining experience. We opted for
dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern. The experience was wonderful.
The food comes to the table in "family style" platters and bowls.
You get a lot more than you will be able to eat. The characters
take the time to come to every table and spent time signing my daughter's
autograph book and taking pictures. We stayed until most of the
dinner customers had left and the characters continued to perform.
Chip and Dale ran around with my daughter chasing them and then
they all posed with her for a group picture. I would suggest this
for everyone." (2/02) Bonnie Bowling
"The Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom is great for
lunch, but overlooked. Try it!"
