The black-and-white photos in the elegant foyer take you back to
a time of the quintessential sweet life of Rome - La Dolce Vita.
This romantic world represented by the world-famous L'Originale
Alfredo di Roma Ristorante is lovingly recreated here in World Showcase.
Trompe l'oeil paintings are showcased on the wall of the dining
room where strolling musicians enchant you with the stirring strings
of their violins.
"I can make peace between nations, just with my fettuccine," insisted
Alfredo DiLelio. L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante at Epcot,
under the supervision of longtime DiLelio family associate Guido
Bellanca, serves le originali fettuccine all'Alfredo according to
the family recipe.
"We're using fresh pasta made on the premises and the same brand
of Parmesan cheese imported from Reggio Emillia we've used for more
than 50 years," says Bellanca. The pasta-making process is on view
behind large windows looking into an area of the restaurant's Italian-tiled
kitchen.
Decorated in the warm earth tones characteristic of Florence and
Siena, Alfredo's red-brown walls and deeply upholstered armchairs
create an inviting atmosphere in which to sample pasta specialties
such as trenette al pesto Genovese (imported linguine with Alfredo's
pesto sauce), scaloppine con funghi selvatici (veal sautéed with
demiglace, wine sauce and wild mushrooms) and ziti alla Mediterranean
(ziti with fresh mozzarella, Sicilian olives and fresh tomatoes).
Typical menu items - Fettuccine al' Alfredo, fried calamari,
smoked swordfish, salad, spaghetti, pasta, chicken, veal, Italian

Italian wines.

"Wonderful we did not have a reservation and it only took
like 20 mintues which was fine because everyone needed a bathroom
break :) There was 4 of us (my 3 children and myself my other daughter
and husband wanted a turkey leg instad)mY 2 youngest got kid spaggetti
and meatballs (thier very nice about kids older then 89 geting kids
meals) My older daughter and i got a sampler plate which was great!
:) Usally we don't get dessert but the dessert tray was irresistable
:) ! We had an Exellent time! Service was okay one time we had a
male waiter then we hat a female waitress. The female was very slow!
I would recomen this because for like 50 bucks for 4 people isn't
bad in WDW." (1/04) Emily
"I ate dinner here with my parents in May 2002. We had a PS,
but had to wait about 1/2 hour, which wasn't too bad, as it was
very busy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, although
a little crowded. The food was great! My mom and I both had the
Fettucine Alfredo, however, we could have split one. This is a lot
of pasta. Also, it's a drier version than I've had before, so if
you're looking for a really creamy Alfredo, you might not like this
one. My dad had the Alfredo Trio - Alfredo, lasagna and veal parmigana
- which he thought was excellent. The only bad thing about the experience
was that our waiter was extremely inattentive. However, halfway
through our meal, we somehow got a different server and he was great
- very attentive and friendly - and he totally made up for the first
one. He said I couldn't have dessert since I didn't eat all of my
dinner, but he still brought me my chocolate mousse, which was super.
All in all a very good meal. We would definitely go back again."

"Wow! This restaurant is amazing. The scenery, the food, and
the feeling like your actually in Rome. The food is expensive but
your paying for quality, freshness, and taste, so its a bargain
if you like it. I had the spaghetti with meatballs, and i thought
i waz in heaven. I ate every single bite and wanted a second one
but i probally won't have finished it. My family agreed. It waz
the best pasta we ever tasted. And we didn't mind waiting for our
table cause you got to see them making pasta. It waz just a great
experience. I think you should go for, spend the money, and i promise
you, you won't regret it!" (8/02) Beth MacColl
