"Okay, first let me say when I first stepped
foot inside the GF, I had to stop and take a deep breath. I understand
now what the big hoopla is about this hotel. JUST ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!!!
One day, but I don't know when, I'm going to stay there if only
for a night or two. The reason I chose the Grand Floridian Cafe
over 1900 Park Fare was the fact that DH had our 2 character meals
and I just wanted to have a nice quiet breakfast on our last day
in Disney. Our PS was for 9am and DH let me out to check-in as we
were having a bit of a problem finding guest parking. I checked
in and went back to the front door to wait for DH. We were sat by
a very kind gentleman named Bob who just really made us feel like
we were at home! Our server was Gerardo and he really fit the GF
theme of things. I enjoyed him a lot. I had the steak & eggs, with
an apple juice and chocolate milk to drink. DH had the vegetable
frittata with a side of turkey sausage and a large OJ to drink.
I cut into that sirlon and once again was ready to run back and
kiss the cook. Again...the PERFECT medium! DH really enjoyed his
frittata. I believe he liked this one better than the one he had
at Tony's Town Square. I was really upset because I left the digital
camera in the car, but I did have a disposable with me. I had it
sitting out on our table and Bob walked by and offered to take a
picture. I thought that was so wonderful of him. About 5 minutes
later Gerardo made the same offer and I told him that Bob beat him
to it. I ate EVERY DROP of my steak and grits, but just couldn't
make it through the eggs. DH helped me finish those off. I just
kept looking around the restaurant really enjoying the beauty and
southern theming to it. I think the Grand Floridian Cafe is one
of the best kept little secrets out there. Our breakfast cost $39.86
and with the gratuity of $5.64 that brings the grand total to $45.50."
