1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian Resort)

American cuisine. Character breakfast buffet, & character dinner buffet. Park Fare's buffets offer a variety of food choices and are even customized to accommodate special tastes. In addition to the regular dinner buffet, which includes prime rib, hot and cold seafood, salads, vegetables and bread, the restaurant also offers a children's buffet with hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, chicken nuggets and Mickey Mouse-shaped macaroni and cheese, a pasta buffet with a large selection of different pastas and sauces, plus a dessert and salad bar.

The restaurant's centerpiece is Big Bertha, a century-old band organ built in Paris and a focal point of a Grand Rapids, Mich., amusement park for many years. Installed 15 feet above the floor in a proscenium, the bellow instrument simultaneously plays pipes, drums, bells, cymbals, castanets and a xylophone. The restaurant's amusement park atmosphere is reinforced by old-fashioned carousel animals.

Join Mary Poppins and friends for breakfast, and the Villains for dinner.

"The food there is wondeful, and the service is as well. I don't think alot of people actually realized what a priority seating was, as they complained about having to wait. They must understand that any restaurant at Disney World can't afford to have a reservation system. The characters were all wonderful and i was relieved that they changed from the villians to Winnie the Pooh and friends. Many children were very scared of the villians. Our server was wonderful and the managers were superb is answering all of our questions. I would definatly recommend this to everyone!" Krys

"This is a great place for people of all ages. They had a wide selection of food on the buffet, and the characters would do things with the kids non stop. We saw every chacter at least twice. We went for dinner the first night there and liked the whole experience so well that we went back a second night for the same meal. The fish was so good my mom doesn't even like the taste of the fish back here in Cincinntai anymore. That's how good the food was." (10/01) Michael

"1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian has excellent food. I've been there many times for the Villian's Dinner. What a fabulous place to be if you love the darker side of Disney and the servers have fun there too. I've seen Cruella DeVil, Snow White's Evil Queen, The Queen of Hearts, Prince John, Gov. Ratcliff and Captain Hook. Unfortunately, Disney cancelled the villians recently and replaced them with the Pooh characters. The food is still excellent though." (9/01) Devi

"Our favorite breakfast, buffet w/ommelet station. Food is a notch above some others. Characters are: Mary Poppins, Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland, Minnie, and Pluto. Again plenty of time w/characters and food is very good. Our all time favorite breakfast spot, alas we are not going this year, going to give crystal palace a shot instead, hope it lives up to our expectations."

"We arrived for our breakfast with Mary Poppins and friends about 15 minutes before our priority seating at 8:00 and got seated immediately. Our service was wonderful (we barely would get a drink of juice before the glass was full again) and the atmosphere was great. With the two of us having kind of different breakfast tastes, we found that there was a variety of treats for both of us. I can't even remember everything that was on the buffet--just too many choices to recall. We also didn't feel rushed to finish our meal and we had ample time to see all the characters, which included the Mad Hatter, Alice, Gheppto, Pinocchio and Mary Poppins. We ate at Donald's Restaurantosaurs the next day and decided that Park Fare was a lot less noisy and for 2 adults that was the real selling point, plus it gave us a chance to look at the Flagship Resort--very impressive. We would definitely eat here again." Gayle Jones (7/01)

"We made last minute reservations to dinner at 1900 Park Fare in September 2000. We waited approximately 20 minutes to be seated. The food was an all-you-can eat buffet which was excellent. The service was likewise, our waiter went out of his way to please us. However, the only disapointment was the characters: Prince John from Robin Hood, Gov. Radcliffe from Pocohontas, Queen of Hearts, and Capt. Hook. The Queen never came to the tables, she stayed in the waiting area. I guess after seeing lovable Disney characters all week, the 5 kids in our party weren't really interested in these. They were more annoying than entertaining. But I must emphasis that despite the poor choice of characters, the food was very good, a large variety to suit any tastes and great desserts too!" Michelle Clark

"We also tried the Villians dinner at the Grand Floridian's 1900 Parkfair Room. Don't bother. The food was medicore and some of it wasn't even hot. The only villians they had were Captain Hook, Prince John and Gov. Radcliff. Radcliff was rude and obnoxious and went way overboard. The Queen of Hearts was in the lobby as you entered, but she only mingled with small children. She ignored us even though we waited to have our picture taken. Cruella DeVille was supposed to be there, but she wasnt'. I was very disappointed." Debbie Maguire
