Downtown Disney West Side Dining & Entertainment

 

Nestled at the western edge of a sprawling entertainment district at the Walt Disney World Resort, Downtown Disney West Side is 66 acres of eye-popping, sophisticated glitter. There are high-profile celebrity tenants, a 90-minute original theatrical production staged five nights a week, a five-story indoor interactive theme park; and a dizzying collection of eclectic shops offering everything from magic tricks to movie memorabilia.

Some entertainment venues require separate cover at the door or prearrival ticket purchase for special performances.

Cirque Du Soleil
Cirque du Soleil shows are truly entertainment experiences like no others. La Nouba, the new Cirque du Soleil show, conceived especially for Downtown Disney West Side, is presented in a state-of-the-art venue -- an inspiring cylindrical structure with metal towers soaring to a height of 160 feet. The House of Blues
House of Blues, the premier restaurant and entertainment venue, salutes America's most celebrated music live, seven days a week, including R & B, Rock 'n' Roll, Country, Alternative, World, Brazilian, Jazz, Gospel, and the root of it all ... Blues. House of Blues' restaurant features Mississippi Delta-inspired cuisine, offering traditional southern favorites like jambalaya, etouffee, and homemade bread pudding. House of Blues is backed by Dan Aykroyd, James Belushi, John Goodman, and Aerosmith. Sundays feature the inspiring Gospel Brunch prformances. Wolfgang Puck Cafe
World-renowned avant-garde chef Wolfgang Puck brings his artfully edible West Coast creations east in a brightly colored gathering place designed by his wife and business partner, Barbara Lazaroff, in the award-winning mosaic style for which their restaurants are famous. From his celebrated pizzas to the cutting edge of California cool cuisine, find fabulous foods prepared perfectly to please the most discriminating palate. Seats 518 at tables, 34 at the bar. Bongos Cuban Cafe
Llunch & dinner service. AMC 24 Theatres complex

Planet Hollywood
A landmark on the Walt Disney World skyline, is located right here. The restaurant, owned by restaurateur Robert Earl, film producer Keith Barish and film stars Demi Moore, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis, features a vast collection of film and television memorabilia. The planet-shaped eatery sits on its own island, just a few yards from Pleasure Island.

Known for its "30-minute freshness guarantee," Wetzel's Pretzels at Downtown Disney West Side features fresh hand-rolled soft pretzels in a variety of popular flavors such as Sinful Cinnamon, Almond Crunch, Grateful Garlic and Cheese Meltdown, and the one-of-a-kind Wetzel Dog -- a fresh-baked pretzel wrapped around an all-beef hot dog. Also available are Häagen-Dazs ice cream, shakes and sundaes, plus fresh lemonade. A satellite kiosk serves delicious treats at Downtown Disney Marketplace.
