Discovery Cove’s “Trainer for a Day” program allows up to 12 guests
a day to work side-by-side and behind-the-scenes with animal experts
and interact with dolphins, birds, sloths, anteaters, sharks, rays
and tropical fish.
Whether it’s an in-water training experience with a dolphin, pampering
a pygmy falcon, feeding tropical fish or playing with an anteater,
participants have the hands-on opportunity to train and care for
these unique animals.
Discovery Cove’s “Trainer for a Day” package includes:
- enhanced dolphin interaction and training encounter
- behind-the-scenes feedings in the coral reef
- feeding and care of exotic birds in the free-flight aviary
- behind-the-scenes small-mammal playtime and training session
- behind-the-scenes animal food preparation and record review
- behavioral training class
Discovery Cove’s “Trainer for a Day” experience costs $399 plus
tax. Participants must be in good physical condition and at least
6 years old. A paying adult must accompany participants younger
than 13.
The “Trainer for a Day” package also includes unlimited access
to the Coral Reef, Ray Lagoon, Resort Pool, Tropical River and Aviary;
a freshly prepared meal; complimentary use of snorkel equipment,
wet suits, towels and lockers; self-parking at Discovery Cove and
a seven-day unlimited-use pass to SeaWorld Orlando.
