Tropical Rainforest by Horseback (6.5 hours)
The ultimate thrill ride! After an approximate 45-minute ride
to a working ranch in the charming village of Las Palmas, guests
ages 10 and older can saddle up for a scenic trail ride on horseback.
Upon arrival at the ranch, expert guides will select a horse best
suited to your size and riding ability, and provide safety equipment
and instructions before embarking on a ride through shallow riverbeds,
lush jungle and sprawling orchards. Midway on the journey, after
riding for approximately 50 minutes, you’ll dismount at a
riverbank to see a natural 60-foot waterfall, where you may swim
or simply relax with a complimentary soft drink or bottled water
for approximately 30 minutes. Then it’s back in the saddle
again for the approximate 50-minute return ride back to the ranch
to enjoy a tasty lunch and complimentary beverages, including soft
drinks and beer, before the approximate 45-minute ride back to
the ship.

Paradise Beach Adventure

A ride of approximately 20 minutes takes you to the beautiful
Paradise Village Beach Resort in Nuevo Vallarta, where you’ll
be welcomed with a complimentary cocktail. Then you’re free
to simply relax on the beach or explore and enjoy the resort’s
many offerings, including a swimming pool with two waterslides,
underwater caves and Mayan- style pyramids to explore. Lounge chairs,
umbrellas, and ocean kayaks are included, and children and families
can enjoy beach volleyball and other activities, or visit the resort’s
resident spider monkeys, lions and tigers. Snacks and lunch items
are available for an additional charge. It’s a half-day of
fun before the approximate 20-minute ride back to the ship.

Puerto Vallarta City Tour

See the sights of beautiful Puerto Vallarta on this exciting
excursion. A scenic ride of approximately 20 minutes takes you
to the center of town, where you’ll stroll along the famous
Malecon, or seawall, that borders the city. Your guide will describe
the city’s historic buildings, artwork and other points of
interest while answering questions about this fascinating place.
While in the city, you’ll also visit the cathedral of Our
Lady of Guadalupe, and have time for shopping or exploring before
the approximate 30-minute ride to a restaurant for complimentary
drinks and snacks. While there, browse amid the displays of handiwork
by local craftsmen or just enjoy the view from this scenic eatery
before the approximate 45-minute return to the ship. During the
return, your bus will make a stop short stop for guest drop off
in the downtown-shopping district, where you may choose to stay
for additional shopping or return with the bus back to the ship.

Sierra Madre Hiking (4.5 - 5 hours)
For guests with intermediate to advanced fitness levels, your
adventure begins with an approximate 50-minute ride to the trailhead.
The approximate 3.5-mile hike includes a variety of terrain ranging
from open fields and dry riverbeds to lush rainforest and rocky
riverbanks. Midway on your journey, you’ll climb up to a
scenic point high above the city for rest and refreshments before
descending into the rainforest for the final portion of the hike.
Afterwards, you’ll stop at a restaurant for complimentary
drinks and snacks before the 50-minute return to the ship.

Historic Towns and
Tequila Making (5.5 hours)
Travel back in time! This exciting excursion shows you a Mexico
untouched by the hands of time. After an approximate 20-minute
ride, you’ll arrive in the tiny village of Mezcales for a
visit to one of the few remaining tequila refineries that still
makes this famous liquor by hand. Guests ages 21 and over will
have a chance to sample different types and flavors of tequila,
and even participate in the agave-mashing process. Then it’s
an approximate 20-minute ride to Porvenir to sample homemade tortillas
before embarking on an approximate 30-minute ride to San Juan for
a visit to the village’s historic church and plaza. Another
ride of approximately 40 minutes brings you to another quaint town,
El Valle, to see the town square, church and shops. Afterwards,
you’ll take an approximate 45-minute ride to a restaurant
for a hearty lunch. An approximate 30-minute ride transports you
to your final destination, a woodcarving studio, before the approximate
40-minute ride to the ship.

Canopy Adventure (4.5 - 5 hours)
After a 5 minute boat ride and a drive of approximately 50 minutes,
guests ages 10 and over will get a bird’s-eye view of towering
tropical trees, exotic orchids and rainforest creatures on this
totally wild adventure. You’ll whoosh along a series of zip
lines from platform to platform a thrilling 90 feet above the rainforest
floor, where hanging bridges built into the treetops and a unique
Gorilla Swing add to the excitement. Upon arrival at this lush
private reserve, you’ll be provided with safety instructions
and all the necessary equipment; highly trained guides will be
on hand throughout the excursion, and 2 safety ropes are provided
for your added security. A swift rappel descent to solid ground
for a complimentary snack break marks the end of your top-flight
jungle journey before the approximate 50-minute return to the ship.

Marietas Islands Snorkel & Kayak
Tour (7.5 hours)
Fantastic voyage! This exciting excursion begins with an approximate
90-minute catamaran ride through the waters of Banderas Bay to
the Marietas Islands , a National Wildlife Preserve alive with
birds, marine mammals and fish. Along the way, you’ll receive
a kayaking and snorkeling orientation, as well as information on
the types of fish and animals you may encounter. Upon arrival,
the catamaran will take you on a guided bird-watching trip around
the islands; then, the boat will drop anchor and you’ll have
approximately 1 1/4 hours to explore the waters by kayak and snorkel.
Once back on board, a delicious, deli-style lunch will be served
while you enjoy the 30-minute trip to a secluded beach. There you’ll
have approximately 1 1/2 hours to relax, swim and enjoy a guided
nature walk before the 1-hour, 45-minute return to the ship.

Marietas Islands Scuba
Dive Adventure (7.5 hours)
Certifiably exciting! After an approximate 90-minute ride via
catamaran, you’ll arrive at the Marietas Islands , one of
the best diving sites on Mexico ’s Pacific coast. Here, colorful
reefs and dramatic drop-offs provide a vibrant habitat for a variety
of tropical and subtropical fish. All scuba equipment, including
wetsuit, is provided for this professionally supervised 2-tank
dive trip. The first dive lasts approximately 40 minutes to depths
up to 60 feet, and the second dive lasts approximately 30 minutes
to a depth of 50 feet. Complimentary soft drinks and bottled water
are available throughout the excursion; lunch and domestic drinks
will be served after the second dive. After lunch, you’ll
travel approximately 30 minutes to a secluded beach for approximately
1 hour before the approximate 90-minute return to the ship.
Note : Certified divers ages 12 and over must
present their certification cards and have logged a dive within
the last 12 months in order to participate. Divers’ families
can opt for the Marietas Island Snorkel excursion and travel together
on the same catamaran.

Dolphin Encounter (3 - 3.5 hours)
Your encounter begins with an approximate 25-minute ride to the
Nuevo Vallarta Marina for an educational presentation about these
friendly marine mammals. You’ll even have a chance to listen
through a hydrophone to hear the dolphins’ underwater chatter.
Dolphin trainers will be on hand to answer any questions you have.
Then, after a quick shower, you’ll walk down a dock to a
14,500-square-foot dolphin enclosure, you’ll stand waist-deep
in the water to meet Pacific bottlenose dolphins. For approximately
15 minutes, you’ll enjoy a hands-on close encounter with
these sociable, curious creatures, who welcome your touch—you’ll
even receive a dolphin kiss, which will be captured on camera and
available for purchase. Afterwards, you may spend time at the gift
shop before the approximate 25-minute ride back to the ship.

Dolphin Encounter for Kids (3 - 3.5 hours)
Dolphin Kids is a unique interaction program at the Vallarta
Adventure Dolphin Center that gives children ages 4-8 the opportunity
to learn more about Pacific bottlenose dolphins in a fun, safe
environment. After an approximate 30-minute ride to the center,
the 30-minute children’s program starts with a poolside introduction
to a friendly family of dolphins, including baby dolphins that
participate alongside their mothers. Then, kids will enter knee-deep
water to touch and interact with the dolphins in a hands-on session
led by an experienced dolphin trainer. Each child will receive
a friendly dolphin kiss and have a chance to feed, pet, hug and
even dance with the dolphins. Then, the dolphins “wave goodbye” before
ending the program with spectacular jumps and splashes. You’ll
have time to stop by the gift shop to purchase a photo taken of
your encounter if you like before the approximate 30-minute ride
back to the ship.

by a parent or guardian, who will be required to purchase the Dolphin
Observer (PV-14). Please do not wear sunscreen or jewelry, which

Swim with Dolphins (3 - 3.5 hours)
After a ride of approximately 25 minutes, guests ages 5 and over
will arrive at Nuevo Vallarta Marina. Here, dolphin trainers will
present an educational orientation and answer questions; you’ll
even listen through a hydrophone as the dolphins swim, play and
communicate through their distinctive clicks and squeaks. Then,
after a quick shower, you’ll don a lifejacket before entering
15-feet-deep water for approximately 30 minutes with the dolphins.
A trainer will introduce you to the dolphins through hugs, kisses
and rubdowns, and then you may swim and play with the dolphins,
including a chance to enjoy a tow on a dolphin’s dorsal fin
or a belly ride. Your exciting encounter will be captured on videotape,
which will be available for purchase. Afterwards, you may purchase
your dolphin video at the gift shop before the approximate 25-minute
ride back to the ship.

Lifestyles of the rich and famous! Las Caletas, once the luxury
beach retreat of famed film director John Huston, is the exclusive

tip of the bay of Puerto Vallarta and accessible only by boat,
Huston’s former home, whose unique three-sided design is
open to the beach, contains the director’s original furnishings
and memorabilia. Your beachside sojourn begins with an approximate
60-minute boat trip across the bay to this secluded paradise, where
you’ll have 4.5 hours to lounge or swim at several small
beaches, take a kayaking or snorkeling tour, go on a nature walk,

beaten track for an unforgettable off-road expedition into the
Mexican outback, through mountain streams, past forgotten villages

you to the tour headquarters, where you’ll board Mercedes “Unimog” all-terrain
vehicles for an approximate 45-minute ride to a traditional Mexican
town. You’ll have approximately 30 minutes to take a walking
tour and enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages before departing
for the approximate 60-minute ride to the heart of the Sierra.
Here, knowledgeable, ecologically trained guides will take you
on an approximate 30-minute educational nature walk, where you’ll
discover and explore the extraordinary flora and fauna hidden away

to a secluded beach. Once the ship drops anchor at Majahuitas Beach
