Cinderella's Royal Table 'Once Upon a Time' character breakfast

Cinderella's Royal Table is located in Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. A character breakfast is held there every morning, and it is without a doubt the most popluar character meal at WDW. As a result of it's popularity, it is extremely hard to get a priority seating reservation for it.

The breakfast is served pre-plated and includes bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, potato casserole, and french toast (cheese danish, fried, with warm apples on top). Muffins, croissants and a fresh fruit cup are also served. Kids (or fussy eaters) may have french toast sticks if desired.

Character Breakfast menu

It costs $31.99 for adults, and $21.99 for kids (3-9).

Times are - 8:00am-11:15am

Characters vary, but may include any of these -
Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Belle, Peter Pan, Snow White, Aurora, Pocahontas, Wendy, Aladdin, Jasmine, Prince Charming, Alice, Suzy & Perla, Dopey, Prince Phillip, Mary Poppins.

Strategies for booking -

You must call exactly 180 days before your required day.

Call WDW Dining on (407)939-3463 or (407)WDW DINE. WDW Dining opens at 7am Eastern Time (12pm GMT).

Start calling a few minutes before 7am, and hit redial if you get a message saying they are closed. Keep hitting redial, don't leave a gap between calls, until you hear a voice say all operators are busy, or you hear Disney music playing. Keep on holding until you get answered.

Often, all avaiable seatings will be booked up by 7:05am, maybe sooner!

As soon as the CM answers say you want to book for Cinderella's breakfast, and for how many, don't waste any time!

If they are booked up, try calling back at 7:15am, when those who have tried the above strategy have cancelled one of their ressies. Or the CMs at WDW Dining have discovered multiple bookings in the same name!

Try calling back every day from a week before you go, as cancellations may come up.

Still no luck? When you arrive, ask at guest services if they can ring to see if there are any seatings available, or call into the Castle and ask at the restaurant podium. Try this also on the day, arriving as early in the morning as possible.

If you are staying in a Disney Resort Concierge room, the concierge may be able to pull a few strings to get you in.

It may be wise to aim for early on in your trip, then if you aren't able to get a booking for the day you want, you can continue to try.

Be flexible and get whatever time you are offered.

If worst comes to worst and you just can't get a seating and you have a little one who desperately wants to meet Cinderella, there are other options. Although the lunch and dinner in the Castle aren't character meals, Cinderella often greets guests in the lobby. Lunch and dinner reservations are much easier to come by. Ask at the podium in the morning if you can go into the lobby to meet the Fairy Godmother, explaining that you have been unable to get a restaurant booking. Cinderella also appears elsewhere, sometimes in the Toontown Hall of Fame. Ask at guests services where she can be found.

There is now a character breakfast at Epcot with the Princesses (but not Cinderella), more details here.

Comments, Tips & Reviews

"I surprised my mother on her 50th birthday with her first ever breakfast in the Castle in August of 2001. We got VEEEERRRRYYYY lucky procurring a reservation within 48 hours. (Thank goodness for people who call in to cancel their reservations!) Her grouchy early A.M. mood was quickly cured by her rather stellar greeting by Fairy Godmother and Cindy in the lobby. It was wonderful that these ladies gave equal time to kids of all ages. My mom was just as excited by the meeting, I promise. Upstairs we were seated by a window with the Carousel in the background. I understand how this would have been a problem with lighting for some, but we got there early enough in the morning that the sun was on the other side of the Castle. Also, the chracters were quite willing to have Mom stand with them for a photo. Prince Charming and Aladdin even urged her into a dance with them! (Even big girls get giddy over that.) I don't remember much about the food through all of those happy tears, but the fruit salad was indeed awesome, as was our quite accomodating Server. Character breakfasts are NOT just for the kids."

"In August 2003, me, my 15 yr old daughter and her boyfriend had breakfast in the castle. We all thought everything was great. The food was excellent. We are going back next year for sure. Infact this past August when we were there, it was Aug 6. We actually went back on August 7 as well. Thats twice. That should say something right there."

"I calculated my 60 days, which came out to Christmas Day. I called on the 26th only to learn of the new 90 day rule, so of course everything was booked. I called today to book a nightly dinner show and asked about CRT and we got an 8:15 reservation! I guess someone cancelled. Just keep trying." (12/03)

"I found this breakfast very disappointing. We had a large group, 13 in all 7 kids all girls. Not much choice on food. Kids had a different breakfast than adults and they also offered a healthy breakfast to adults fruit I think but they gave you all you could eat, and the princesses rushed through our table. We had 3, Cinderella, Mary Poppins and Belle all at our table at once. Maybe if your in a small group it might be better. My daughter did however get to get a picture with Cinderella alone. She called her her twin as she was dressed in costume too. Would maybe try again if in a smaller group." (11/03)

"Thanks to your website, I only discovered today that they had moved the booking dates from 90 to 60 days. As my holiday is in November, I feared the worst as the new notice period left me with only three days to try and obtain a booking. I rang at 19:40 CET, a full twelve hours plus from when reservations are released and spoke to their WDW Dining Rep who was most helpful and patient with me. Anyway, I was lucky enough to obtain a booking for the date released earlier that day at 8.35 am for my family. Hving heard about the difficulties other people have had, I consider myself to be very lucky on this occasion. My advice to everyone would be if they are unlucky when they ring at 7am, to try again later in the evening as I did and you may get a cancellation too for a sought after time." (8/03)

"I just called this morning and got through at 6:58.An operator picked up right away and I got my choice of times {9:10}. I am taking my twins for their 5th birthday in August and really wanted to do this breakfast. This web site gave me all the information I needed to get my priority seating. We have a great day planned and this just added to it.My advice is to definately start calling around 6:55 and hopefully you will have the good luck I did." Darleen (06/03)

"I had twelve days that I could book our reservation. After I tried for 7 days I decided one morning to try both my cell phne and my land line. My cell phone got through on the first try.The breakfast is definately worth the trouble. By the way, I also had another family member trying at the same time as me with a regular phone and every day we knew as soon as we heard the music it was sold out." (6/03)

"Calling a few minutes before 7am really does work. Of course I was calling from the west coast so it was almost 4am. We've already gone one this year and planning to go back again. The princesses are so nice and sweet to the children and do a good job going to each and every table." (5/03) Holly Scott

"Thank You for the great advice! My three daughters will be blessed with yet another exciting event on their summer vacation. I called starting at 5:45am from Kansas-got right through on the 5th call, pressed #3 and made ps reservations for our family. In 60 days at 8:15 we will have an enchanted breakfast at the royal table." (6/03)

" I wanted to share my experiance for trying to get ressies for CRT! i started calling on the 60th day before,(4-24) and i used all the tips above...only to find out at 6:58 cst that it was full. i called often throughout the day to check for cancelations, with no luck. today(4-25) and got the same answers today...but i did not give up!- i called back at 6:20 cst time, low and behold a instead of being on hold, i got an operator right away..i blurted out my info and she said she had it!!! SO- dont give up! just goes to show that persistance pays off.... GOOD LUCK...cant wait to come back and make a review of the breakfast." (4/03)

"Hello, I used the process described above and had 4 family members start calling at 6:55 am. At 7:00 am we got through and my wife got a PS for 8:30 am on March 10. I then checked with my relatives who were also calling for us and found that they too had got a PS. In the end, I ended up with 4 PS for March 10. I called WDW about 15 minutes later and cancelled 3 of them. Thanks for the tips...they really worked." Greg

"During June of '99 my 17 year old son and I went to Cinderella's Castle for breakfast. It was fantastic! All of the princesses came over to him and we really had a lot of laughs. Service was excellent, as was the food. So glad that we went that day!"

"Cinderella´s Royal Table is just a great experience. If you have a little princess at home, don´t even hesitate to take her to this unforgettable experience. My daughter just loved it; she was like in her own dream." Alberto Villareal.

"In October 2001 we took our grown children and our five grandchildren to Walt Disney World. Our little granddaughters begged for breakfast in the castle with Cinderella. Not knowing how it was done, I phoned three days in a row only to be told they were sold out. The third time I cried and the CM felt sorry for me and told me to phone the next day 15 minutes before 7:00 and to keep hitting the redial. That worked beautifully and we got a priority seating for 14 people for 9:30. Unfortunately, the day of the breakfast we had to wait for over an hour and our little grandsons got restless. Our granddaughters were happy to chat with the Fairy Godmother in the waiting area. She was very gracious and sprinkled each child with "magical" fairy dust. This year (2003) we are taking everyone again in March. This time I began calling WDW at 5:45 a.m. (Texas time)and got through at 5:58. This year our seating time is for 8:15 before the park opens. Hopefully we won't have to wait an hour to be seated. Dining with Cinderella is well worth all of the trouble, wait and expense. Last time we saw Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White, Belle, Jasmine and her male counterpart (can't think of his name). They visited our table, talked with each child, posed for pictures, signed autographs and called our grandchildren by name. Our grandchildren loved it! So did all of the grownups. It was one of the highlights of our trip. The food was good too, and they gladly bring more if you ask. The coffee is excellent. Breakfast at Cinderella's Castle is truly magical!" (1/03)

"Thanks to the tips found here, I was able to get my PS for the Cinderella breakfast with no problems whatsoever. I anticipated a nightmare but it was a great experience. I called at 6:55 am, and got through immediately. The reservationist did not make me feel rushed at all. She acted as though mine was the most important call of the day. I mentioned that we will be celebrating my daughter's birthday. She told me three times to make sure to remind the hostess and waitress at the breakfast! The funny thing is, my daughter is two, and won't have her bday until a few days after the breakfast. So we don't even have to pay for her meal, while she is the reason we're going, and hopefully will get some special attention for her. A great tip that is worth repeating, count the days on the calendar, don't just assume 60 days is exactly two months earlier. One more thing, kind of unrelated but if your reservationist does a really good job, it's easy to commend them. I emailed Disney from a link on their website to express my appreciation for my reservationist." (1/03)

"Try 60 days ahead, not counting the day you want it for, count on the calender, since the months vary with # of days. Set a clock by atomicclock.net. Start calling about 5min till and as soon as you get the message that doesn't say they are closed, press 1 immediately! I got in 2 days in a row. Also, say, "Cindys for Xdate for party of X, anytime" interupt the CM if necessary, they understand! Good luck!" (1/03)

"By calling early & often this morning (1/26/03), I got a table for 4 at 8:25 a.m. sixty days from today -- thanks to your and your readers' advice (it was only my second day of trying!). ONE ODD THING happened, although I don't know what anyone will or should make of it. While my wife was standing by, waiting for my signal to hit the final "3" on our "land line phone," I called simultaneously on 2 different cell phones at 20 seconds before 7:00 a.m. EST. On both phones I got through and immediately -- and told my wife to hit "3" -- I then pressed "1," as instructed and started waiting. While I was waiting, my wife got the same recording and pressed "1" on her phone -- at least 15 seconds AFTER I had done the same thing. About 90 seconds later, an operator answered MY WIFE'S CALL and gave us the hallowed confirmation number. By this time, I had been on hold for about 4 minutes, and I stayed on hold even after my wife finished her call. For those who are still trying, can anyone explain how my 2 cell-phone callse were connected well before my wife's -- but her's was answered by an operator while I continued to hold for 5 minutes before hanging up? (Another possible clue in this mystery, both my cell-phone calls played the same music while I was on hold, and my wife's "hold music" was different!)" (1/03)

"Thanks for all of the tips and advice everyone. I was anticipating a very difficult time getting through to get the Cinderella breakfast reservation, however I had absolutely no problem. I just called Disney this morning a few minutes before 7 am (as everyone suggested) and got the recording they were closed. I kept hitting redial until the lines opened and I got through on my first try. Our 2 daughters ages 2 and 4 are so excited!" Michelle (1/03)

"You will have a much better chance of getting reservations if you call on a weekend!"

"I just want to thank you for all the advice on booking Cinderella's breakfast. I was able to get seating today on my second day of trying. I did encounter a little trouble with the first operator as she told me I could not book for more than 6 people that this was the limit of the number of people. So I took the reservation even though I needed 7. I then called back and got a wonderful operator who told me this was not correct that the operator should have tried to grab two tables. But then she also tried for fun the day I needed at 7:24 and was able to get me seating for 7. She told me I might have to split my party to two tables. But I don't care. I can't wait to see my daughters eyes (ages 2 and 5) when they see Cinderella. I plan to have them wear their Cinderella costumes to breakfast. Thank you again for all the great advice." (10/02)

"This oct, my husband and i along with our 4 year old girls will be going to disney. We made our ps arrangements and they sure weren't kidding when they said how hard it is to get through for cinderella's breakfast. One day my husband and i began calling each on a different phone line 10 minutes before 7:00 and when someone finally answered at 7:04 there was only one spot available and it was for 2 people. We were so disappointed, but then a few days later my husband came through for u s. One morning after working night shift i came home and was greeted by 2 screaming 4 year olds yelling, "mommy, mommy, we are going to eat breakfast with cinderella and the princesses!" while i was working my husband had called using 2 different phones and finally after waiting on hold for 15 minutes he got through and they had a time slot for us. If you really want to go to cinderellas breakfast keep trying and when you finally do get through to an operator say as little as possible and take whatever you can get. Our kids are so excited to go on vacation and tell everyone that they will be eating with the princesses." (10/02) Lynda

"We got our reservation by luck of the draw. We were there on June 24th, 2002. Nana,Mom and two princesses (ages 7&9). Food was delicious but a little rushed. If you want to do this try to get reseravions for your first day and everyday! Have family members calling with your credit card handy. We saw every princess and the Fairy Godmother. It was magical. Every little girl (and their Mother and Grandmother will love it. Keep using that redail and talk fast, take what ever they give you(if anything) Don't try for a better time until after your reservation is solid. Just take anything thay give you, even if you think it's not a good time for you.Enjoy!" (10/02)

"I know the feeling of not getting into the Cinderella's Breakfast. Two years ago I tried but they were booked. Did not think to ask if anything was cancelled. This time I tried real hard and still couln't get in. The I E-mailed them how disappointed I was and asked for help. One person helped me out, not with the getting in to the Breakfast at the Casle but told me on the new one in Epcot. I called right after I read my mail. They were also booked until the 10th of Dec. Our last full day. We took it for 10:00 AM the only spot. So there.I finally got it. But still it's not the same. It's just me and my husband and we are in out late 50's but we feel like kids." (10/02) Elizabeth from Portsmouth,NH.

"I am the Disney god in the eyes of my sister, brother in law and 2 neices! I finally got thru for the castle breakfast with all these characters.Call about 3 minutes to seven and when they pick up don't chat, just say this, " Cinderella breakfast (# in your party)Now!!!!! it works. and like all Disney phone people they understand how tough it is.Can't wait." (8/02) Kenny O.Disney (Alias, just Kenny)

"I set my alarm for 6:45 to start calling wdwdine to get Cinderella Castle breakfast reservations. I kept redialing and got through at 7:00am. I told the operator I wanted breakfast reservations at Cinderella's Castle for 4 on Oct. 6. She then gave me a list of choices to chose from...8:40, 8:50, 9:15, 9:40, 9:45. After she got through with the list I informed her that I wanted 9:15. She then said sorry ALL the reservations are gone! I felt this was really tacky of the operator. Kno w ing how fast they go she should have clicked on one and said this is what I got - take it or leave it! I felt I was robbed of a magical moment! "

"I luckily have only had a problem once getting a reservation. I do however get up at 5:45 Chicago time and start dialing. I found this year that using my cell phone to redial was quicker than my regular phone. the cell connects you again immediately! Also...call wdw-dine not the disney club number..you'll have a better chance. One year i called the day before we left on a last ditch effort and got it for 8 people..we were so happy! It really is worth it though...we've never bee n dissapointed. There is a new Princess breakfast on trial at EPCOT until October so hopefully those who can't get a reservation here can try that one. Good Luck everyone!" Cara Ramos

"We went to Disney June 15-18 with my parents (in their 70's and my daughter-5) We could not get breakfast seating for anyday we were going to be there but.... we scheduled lunch the first day at the castle. Our seating time was 11:50 and we were seated at 11:35. My daughter loved it.. the waitress called her princess and made her feel so special. My parents loved the food and the graciousness of the waitress. Then when we were leaving Cinderella was in the lobby on her throne and my daughter got to talk with her and take her picture with her. Also because there were so few people there she wasn't rushed.. So she loved every bit of it and we didn't have to be up at the crack of dawn when she is usually crabby." (7/02)

"we went on vacation on april 27th-may 5th, I called to make p.s. arrangements do days to the date we wanted to go. I started dialing the phone at 5 min. to 7 and got the recording, "sorry,we are closed at this time" so I kept hitting the redail button, and then an operator answered and I was able to get seating for my 8 year old and myself...T the breakfast with the princesses was fantastic!!!They come to your table, sign autographs, and actually took some time to talk to my 8 y/o. W e are headed back to disney on july 24-28, and again I got p.s. for cinderellas breakfast!!!" (7/02)

"I just got reservations for 6 at 9:10 am 60 days from now, and I called at 8:30 ! So I suggest you try no matter what the time. Nothing ventured, nothing gained." (7/02)

"My husband and I both started calling today (June 18, 2002) a few minutes before 7 a.m. for the Cindy Breakfast. We both were able to get through immediately (I cancelled my P.S.) We did not have to dial any extra numbers, the operators immediately came on the line. My kids think that their dad is "the man":) " (6/02) Wheeling, WV

"WE HAVE JUST COME FROM WALT DISNEY WORLD JUNE1 THROUGH THE TENTH. WE HAD BREAKFAST WITH CINDERELLA , BELLE , AND MARY POPPINS, PRINCE CHARMING, SNOW WHITE. MY DAUGHTER LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. MY ADVICE TO EVERY PARENT WANTING THIS BREAKFAST IS TO KEEP TRYING. DO NOT GET UPSET IF YOU DO NOT GET A TABLE. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS BUT BELIEVE ME CINDERELLA IS EVERYWHERE. WE ALSO HAD DINNER AT THE CASTLE ON FRIDAY THE 7 OF JUNE. CINDERELLA IS IN THE LOBBY OF THE CASTLE IN HER CHAIR. SO IF ALL ELSE FAILS BOOK DINNER AND LOOK IN THE LOBBY. SHE DOES SHOWS IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE AND MEETS DINNER GUESTS. THE FAIRY GODMOTHER IS ALWAYS IN THE LOBBY AFTER YOU LEAVE FOR THE BREAKFAST. CINDERELLA IS ALSO IN TOON TOWN IN THE MAGIC KINGDOM IF YOU HAVE THAT LITTLE GIRL WHO LIKES PRINCESSES. JASMINE IS ALWAYS BY HER RIDE ON THE MAGIC CARPETS OF ALADDIN. AERIAL IS IN HER GROTTO ALL THE TIME AT WALT DISNEY WORLD. START BOOKING THE BREAKFAST NINETY DAYS IN ADVANCE. CALL 7;OO AN FLORIDA TIME , THAT IS WHEN THEY POST THEIR CANCELLATIONS. THEY ALSO KEEP EXTRA SEATS OPEN BUT WILL NOT KNOW HOW MANY UNTIL THAT MORNING, I KNOW THAT BECAUSE THEY BOOKED US FOR FIVE AND WE ONLY HAD FOUR. THE GIRL TOLD ME THEY HAVE TO DO IT THAT WAY. THEY ALSO RING A BELL AND ANNOUNCE YOU AS THE ROYAL FAMILY SO AND SO. THE GIRLS LOVED IT. I WOULD NOT ADVISE BOYS TO THIS EVENT." (6/02)

"despite what some people say. the breakfast at cinderella's royal table is worth the trouble. we have just come back from the breakfast from june 1 through the tenth. I tried for 2 months and finally got a reservation by calling early in the morning. If you do not get a reservation for breakfast get one for dinner. They do not tell you this, but cinderella does a show in front of the castle and she appears in between times in her royal chair in the lobby of the castle to sign autogra p h's and take pictures." (6/02)

"Our travel agent had said that getting reservations to Cinderella's Royal Table would not be a problem. Obviously, she didn't know the popularity of this breakfast. By the time she called, it was booked each day that we wanted. I had read "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World," and knew that the only way I might stand a chance getting priority seating was to call right at 7:00 am, which is 4:00 am for me, in WA State. The night before calling, I couldn't sleep. I woke up several t imes, looking at my clock, and anticipated the alarm clock ringing at 3:55 am. Bounding out of bed, I watched the clock tick, and began dialing at 3:59 am I had to redial three times, but finally got through and got the highly sought after confirmation number. With the adrenaline pumping, I didn't fall back asleep. I told my six year old daughter when she woke up that she must know how much her Mom loves her to get up that early to book this breakfast. Can hardly wait until we get to meet the princesses!"

"Whatever you do, don't call the toll free number if you are a Disney Club member! On busy days, you'll be bypassed by all of the other callers who call directly on 407-WDW-DINE. They go in the que first. This has been a SEVERE disappointment to me since we've wasted 3 days trying to get in each morning without a reservation to show. So far, the Disney Club card has been a disappointment - I've found better on-site room rates through newspaper advertisements and the # of places accepting the discounts are so few that it's been worthless to us so far."

"Our family went to CRT on January 27th. I did not know about early reservations so I thought I had no chance of getting in for breakfast. I called to get PS for Chef Mickey's and the agent asked if I wanted to do any others. I said "The only other was CRT but I know we are calling too late. We were leaving in 2 weeks. She said "Let me check. There may be a cancellation." Well low and behold there was! We celebrated by daughters 6th birthday and she loved it. My 8 yr old son w a s not impressed though. My advice is to keep trying. You may get lucky."
