How can I book a room at the BoardWalk Resort?

Where is the BoardWalk Resort?
The Resort is located between Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios, across from the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. The Swan and Dolphin Resorts are a short stroll away.

What is the difference between the Inn and the Villas?
The Inn is classed as a Deluxe Resort, while the Villas are part of Disney's Vacation Club, and are known as a 'home-away-from-home' Resort. However, although the Villas are part of the DVC, anyone can book a room there, not just DVC members.

What is the theming of the Resort?
The Villas are themed after an East coast beach cottage of the early 1900s, while the Inn is themed after an East coast boardwalk hotel of the early 1900s.

What will I find in my guest room?
Most of the rooms at the Inn feature two queen-sized beds or one king-sized bed, ceiling fan, TV, armoire, night stand, small safe, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and marble bathrooms with separate vanity. Refrigerators are available upon request for $10 a night. Coffee makers are available on request.
At the Villas-
The Studio includes a microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and wet bar. It offers one queen-sized bed and a double sleeper sofa, as well as a small dining table with two chairs. Includes private balcony. (Four adults maximum, plus one child under age three in crib.) The average studio is 359 square feet.
The one-bedroom Villa has one bedroom and one bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, stacked washer and dryer, and private balcony. The master bedroom suite includes a king-sized bed and whirlpool tub. The living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa. (Four adults maximum, plus one child under age three in crib.) The average one-bedroom is 712 square feet.
The two-bedroom, two-bath Villa has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, stacked washer and dryer, and private balcony. The master bedroom suite includes a king-sized bed and whirlpool tub. The living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa. The second bedroom area has a queen-sized bed and a double sleeper sofa, and also offers a studio kitchen with microwave, mini-refrigerator, coffee maker, and wet bar. (Eight adults maximum, plus one child under age three in crib.) The average two-bedroom is 1,071 square feet.
The three-bedroom, three-bath Grand Villa has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, laundry room with full-sized washer and dryer, and a private balcony overlooking Crescent Lake. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and whirlpool tub. The other two bedrooms each have two queen-sized beds and a private bath. The living room has a queen-sized sleeper sofa. (Twelve adults maximum, plus one child under age three in crib.) The average Grand Villa is 2,142 square feet.

How many people do the rooms accommodate?
Standard rooms at the Inn have a maximum five-person room occupancy. At the Villas, studios can accomodate up to 8 plus one child in a crib.

What room views are available?
Standard view rooms overlook the grounds near the resort entrance, & the parking lot.
Garden view rooms overlook the gardens and walkways.
Water views rooms overlook Crescent Lake and the Boardwalk.

Where are the best room locations?
Water view rooms that overlook Crescent Lake are nice, but could get noisy at night from the BoardWalk below, although most people report that the balcony doors are adequately soundproofed.
Rooms at the far end of the wings at either resort are a long walk from the main lobby area. But the rooms at the far end of the wing at the Inn are nearer to the Epcot walkway, and at the Villas are nearer to the Disney's Hollywood Studios walkway.
Rooms in the Inn are a fair distance from Luna Park, although they have their own quiet pool.
At the Villas, water view rooms around Luna Park may be noisy, the rooms overlooking the quiet pool area are quieter.
Certain rooms at the Inn have views of the high fireworks from IllumiNations.
Bear in mind that water view rooms can overlook the lake, pool area or canal.

Is turndown service available?
Evening turndown service is available upon request between 6:00pm and 9:30pm.

What are the Garden Suites?
There are 14 Garden Suites are available at the Inn, and most have a private entrance through beautiful rose gardens, separated from each other by picket fences. There are two floors to each suite, which house a living room with a queen-size sofa bed, wet bar and TV, upstairs you'll find a king-size bed, jacuzzi, shower and TV.

What are the benefits of concierge?
Concierge rooms are on the 4th floor, and have access to a private lounge, where complimentary snacks and beverages are served throughout the day. The lounge offers a view of Epcot's nightly IllumiNations show. Concierge rooms offer additional amenities such as turndown service and robes.

What happens at check-in?
You'll receive your room key (plastic card), a small 'guidebook', park maps, and a copy of 'The BoardWalk Bugle' the resort's newsletter. You'll also have the option of leaving credit card details so that you can charge anything you purchase during your stay to your room card.

Are there any activities for children?
Yes, there are organised activities daily, which can include arts & crafts, poolside games, fishing, and a Very Merry Unbirthday Party. Check with Guest Services or Community Hall for times and details.

Are there childcare facilities?
Disney's Harbor Club offers supervised activities for children. Call 407-939-3463 for reservations. Kindercare offers in-room babysitting. Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance. Call 407-827-5444.

Is there a games arcade?
Test your hand at the wide assortment of classic stand-up, skill and pinball games at Side Show Games Arcade, located next to Muscles and Bustles. Also featuring a number of the latest computer and video games for all ages.

Is there a character meal?
No, there are no character meals at the BoardWalk Resort.

Where can I get refillable mugs?
From Leaping Horse Libations, BoardWalk Bakery, Spoodle's window, Belle Vue Lounge, or Boardwalk Joe's.

Where can I find Disney transportation?
Transportation to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios is by watercraft motor launch from the transportation dock, or you can use the walkways.
Transportation to the Magic Kingdom Park, Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Downtown Disney is by bus.

Where are the nearest ATM locations?
There is an ATM located next to the Wyland Galleries. Additional ATMs are located at each theme park, the Downtown Disney Area, as well as all Resorts (lobby area).

Where can I make dining priority seating arrangements or purchase tickets?
Priority seating for most Walt Disney World restaurants can be made by touching the WDW DINE button on your in-room phone or by visiting Guest Services. Theme Park tickets are available at either the front desk or Guest Services.

What dining options are available?
The Belle Vue Room - Relax in a 1930's sitting room while reminiscing to the sounds of the Golden Years of radio. Socialize, read or play board games while the butler staff tends to your every need. Located in the main lobby of BoardWalk Inn, with an outdoor balcony overlooking Crescent Lake. A la carte continental breakfast served 7am - 11am. Full bar and assorted cold appetizers served 5pm - 12 midnight (subject to seasonal change).
Spoodles - Savor the flavours of the Mediterranean cuisine at Spoodles. Spoodles brings you the tastes of Greece, Morocco, Spain, North Africa, Italy and France, and serves up an array of mouth-watering specialties in a fun family atmosphere. The lively, open kitchen turns food preparation into an art and invites you to participate in the process. Spoodles encourages everyone to experience the latest trend in dining - mezza - where guests sample and share a variety of dishes with others at their table. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Leaping Horse Libations Pool Bar - Quench your sun-drenched thirst with an alcoholic or non-alcoholic specialty drink. If a quick bite is in order, then try the delicious tuna sandwiches, hot dogs, fresh fruit cups, snacks and ice cream treats.
Big River Grille and Brewing Works - Taste the freshest beer in town as the on-site brewmasters create 5 hand-crafted beers right before your eyes. Three of those blends can only be found at the Big River Grille & Brewing Works - Tilt, Rocket Red, and Wowzers. Dine on the pub-style menu, including sesame tuna, drunken ribeye, Rocket Red Ale chicken, gourmet burgers and salads. Eat-in or enjoy your meal right on the BoardWalk.
Flying Fish Cafe - Dive into the "New American" cuisine at the Flying Fish Cafe. This new revolution in dining focuses on freshness and natural simplicity. Everything is prepared right before your eyes in the open kitchen. And if the kitchen is the stage, then your food is the star. Choose from an array of seafood, steaks, and unique daily specialties.
BoardWalk Bakery - The BoardWalk Bakery's open kitchen allows you to see the expert bakers in action, where every morning you can witness the most spectacular "bun-rise" you'll ever see. Try the specially-made, fresh-baked goods, including muffins, rolls, cakes and breads. The cappuccinos and espressos make a perfect compliment to any of the delicious delicacies.

Where can I buy groceries?
An assortment of groceries, snack items, sodas and sundries are available in the Screen Door General Store.

What can I rent from Community Hall?
Rental of bikes, videos, books, tubes and noodles is available, plus equipment for fishing, tennis, ping pong, croquet, badminton and fooseball.

Is there a swimming pool?
Splish and splash at Luna Park, the 190,000 gallon pool that harkens back to the days of a 1920's amusement park. Ride the slippiest slide around, the 200 foot long Keister Coaster. Inner tubes and fun noodles are available for hourly and daily rentals. The Luna Park complex is reserved for guests of the BoardWalk Inn and Villas only. Stop by Community Hall for swimmer's aids and information on swimming lessons.
For those who like to enjoy an away-from-it-all swim, there is another pool located adjacent to Community Hall, and a third pool at the outer edge of the BoardWalk Inn - nestled amongst the serenity of the Rode Courtyard. Lifeguards are not on duty at the smaller pools.

What time is the pool open?
All pools are open 24hrs. Lifeguard hours vary by season.

Are towels available by the pool?
Yes.

Is there a fitness center?
Muscles and Bustles health club features free weights, Life Fitness, Stairmaster and Cybex exercise equipment. Along with a steam room, sauna, tanning bed and massage therapy. Located adjacent to the Side Show Games Arcade, facing the court yard green. All BoardWalk Inn and Villa guests are welcome for a nominal fee.

Can I play tennis at the Resort?
Enjoy two lighted, surfaced tennis courts located by Disney's BoardWalk Villas. The courts are free to all BoardWalk Inn and Villa guests. Reservations can be made at Community Hall. Rental equipment is available.

Are bikes available to hire?
Surreys rentals are available on the Village Green, to those wanting to circle Crescent Lake by pedal power.

What other activities are available?
You'll find midway games and entertainment seasonally, along the BoardWalk. There is also a children's playground next to Luna Park.

What is the ESPN Club?
The ultimate in sports entertainment! Cheer on your favourite team on one of over 80 televisions found throughout the club. Or, join the crowd as you watch today's big game on the giant video scoreboard. The sports arcade allows you to compete with others for a friendly game of interactive one-on-one. Be a part of live television and radio broadcasts originating from the in-club studio, or join the sports host and entertain the fans. And, or course, what game is complete without an all-American line-up of food and drinks, serving everything from lunch to dinner.

Are there any shops at the Resort?
Dundy's Sundries sells those little things in life, such as film, gifts, souvenirs, and personal items.
Disney's Character Carnival features your favourite Disney characters in a wide array of children's apparel and accessories, plus a huge selection of Disney merchandise for all ages.
Thimbles and Threads has resort apparel, swimwear and accessories for men and women with impeccable taste.
Screen Door General Store is an old-fashioned, friendly neighborhood general store, with groceries, dry goods, snacks and beverages.
Wyland Galleries displays the contemporary American style of Wyland in environmental art, depicting marine animals in their beautiful natural settings.

What time is check-in?
Normal check-in time is after 3:00pm for the Inn, and 4:00pm for the Villas. For early travellers, every effort will be made to get you settled in as soon as possible.

What time is check-out?
Check-out time is before 11:00am. Later check out may be requested. Express check-out is available to guests with American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Disney Credit Card, Discover, Diners Club or JCB.

Where do I get...?
Extra pillows, & blankets, bed rails, baby cribs, handicap aids, extra hangers, towels, refrigerators, coffeemakers, or any other sundry items are available from Housekeeping.

Where do I find the ice machines?
Ice and vending machines are located on each floor near the elevators.

Is there a dry-cleaning service?
Yes, laundry bags and lists are located in the closet in your room. One day service is available if received by 8:30am, and will be returned by 7:00pm.

Is there a guest laundry?
Self-service laundry facilities are located on the 3rd floor next to the elevators at the Inn, and the 1st floor next to Muscles and Bustles at the Villas.

How can I send and receive faxes, UPS, mail, etc?
When these items are received, they will be delivered to your room. To send a fax or mail a letter, stop at Guest Services or Front Desk for assistance. To mail packages, Federal Express or UPS, please stop by the Business Center at the Conference Center for assistance.

Is luggage assistance available?
Yes, through Bell Services. When you arrive at the resort, someone from Bell Services will assist you to your room with your luggage. When you are ready to leave, just touch the LUGGAGE/VALET SERVICE button on the in-room phone. Gratuity not included.

Is Valet Service available?
Yes, for $7 a day, a valet will park and deliver your car whenever you leave or return to the Resort.

If I use the package delivery service in the parks, where do I pick them up?
If you shop at any merchandise location at the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or the Downtown Disney area, and choose to have your packages delivered back to your resort, they can be picked up the following day at the Resort merchandise pick-up location.

Does the Resort have wheelchairs available for guest use?
Yes, a limited number of wheelchairs are available at Guest Services. There is no charge, but a credit card guarantee may be required. A limited number or wheelchairs and motorized wheelchairs are available to rent at the theme parks.
