Reviews
"Best Western Hotel on Hotel Plaza Blvd. Awful stay, awful staff,
all around dissapointment for my family. No sheets or pillows on the pull out
couch. Took an hour to get them after 3 phone calls to the rude operator. The
breakfast buffet was average but the cook was a real jerk and got mad if you ordered
something. Everyone seemed to have an attitude and when I wrote the hotel to complain
about the staff the G.M. told me in response that I was wrong and I didn't know
what I was talking about. I would never go back. I can understand if we just happened
to go at a bad time or people for whatever reason were crabby that week, but they
made no attempt whatsoever to rectify anything. I give the hotel a 3 on a scale
of 1-10." (01) Tim B.
"The
best known secret at WDW is the Best Western (formerly Travelodge) in Downtown
Disney. The rooms are huge and all have a view. There is a Disney store on site,
a great restaurant. Be sure to say hello to "Mama" who makes the omelets for their
buffet breakfast. Their buffet is only $6.00 and is almost the same thing as character
breakfasts have. The only disadvantage is the busses have to park in the middle
of the parking lots instead of at the curbs as Disney has so many hotels now that
they take all the curbside parking spots. If you are mobility impaired or can't
walk very far, then it is hard to have to go out to the middle. I have stayed
there for 10 years and the last time it was $99. but you can have six people for
that price. There are 2 queen beds and also a patio." Doris
"My sister and I stayed at the Best Western Lake
Buena Vista Resort Hotel in October of 1999. We had a large, well-appointed and
clean room on an upper floor with a great view of Lake Buena Vista and Downtown
Disney. Our discounted room rate ( $89 per night) included a fabulous breakfast
buffet (including made-to-order waffles and omelets). Bus service was sporadic
with busses picking up every 30 minutes or so to take us to the parks. The busses
also pick up at all the other hotels along Hotel Plaza Boulevard. Despite the
time-consuming bus waits and rides, we saw everything we wanted and stayed full
days in the parks. I would not recommend this with children since they probably
couldn't go an entire day and evening as we were able. You can walk to Downtown
Disney from this hotel or to the Crossroads shopping area where there are many
restaurant and shopping opportunities. We also took advantage of early check-in
and late check-out with our baggage being held in storage until we left. All in
all, we would recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in the Disney area."
"We
stayed at the best western when it was Travelodge, two years ago. It was a mediocre
hotel. but, very convenient. WE found getting around quite pleasant. Since this
hotel is located on property, the ride to the ticket center is short.Beats driving
into the park by car! We're going back in a few weeks and looking forward to the
improvements the Best western made to this property. We stay here because of the
price. $550. incl r/t air( from boston) 7 nights hotel and car rental.I highly
recommend staying onproperty...Going back to the hotel for a break in the day
is heaven to me.You just can't do this staying outside the park.I've also stayed
at the marriott. that was very nice."
