Experience an all-new, cutting edge attraction that
is sure to thrill you like never before! You'll blast forward with
a high-speed launch, from 0 to 57 mph in 2.8 seconds, then twist
through multiple loops while the sounds of rock 'n' roll amplify
your every turn.
The attraction begins with a tour of the fictional
G-Force Records, where guests encounter the band finishing up a
studio recording session. After being invited by the band members
to see them in concert, guests climb aboard a 24-passenger "super-stretch
limo" and swiftly accelerate into the Hollywood night.

Guests aboard each "limo" will encounter nearly 5
Gs as they transition from launch to loop at the ride's first inversion.
(By comparison, astronauts aboard the Space Shuttle experience 3
Gs at liftoff.)
The enclosed experience remains dark while featuring
individually lit Southern California landmarks -- 365 days a year,
rain or shine.

Facts/History
There are five different cars & different Aerosmith tracks play
in each; each car also has a unique number plate, shown below in
brackets -
1. Nine Lives (1QKLIMO)
2. Sweet Emotion (UGOGIRL)
3. Back in the Saddle & Dude Looks Like a Lady (BUHBYE)
4. Love in an Elevator & Walk This Way (2FAST4U)
5. Young Lust, F.I.N.E. & "Love In A Roller Coaster" (H8TRFFC)
The coaster was built first, then the building was built around
it.
Pulls between 4 and 5 big, fat, monster G's. That's more than the
astronaut feel when they launch.
There are three rockin' inversions, two rollover loops and one big
daddy corkscrew. 125 speaker, 24 sub-woofer, 32,000 watt, onboard
audio system.
Each "limo" launches from 0-60 mph in 2.8 blurring seconds -- similar
to the feeling of sitting atop a supersonic F-14 Tomcat as it blasts
off the deck of an aircraft carrier.
A specially recorded Aerosmith soundtrack resonates out of 120 speakers
in each "limo," including five per guest -- your average limo-for-hire
boasts a whopping six speakers.
Throughout the attraction, more than 900 speakers generate over
32,000 watts of audio power, about as ear-piercing as an arena rock
concert.
The 3,400-foot-long track is more than a half mile of sudden accelerations,
dips, loops and twists and turns.
-
At 40 feet tall, the larger-than-life stratocaster guitar that adorns
the entrance of the attraction has a 32-foot-long neck which is
nearly 15 times the size of the neck on an average stratocaster
guitar.
Each "limo" seats 24 guests, about twice the number of passengers
who fit in the average stretch limo.
Reviews
"This is my favorite ride in all of the parks.
I love it! I am not a big thrill ride fan but my friends convinced
me to go on this and the tower of terror ( which I love 2). We used
fastpass and we were on the coaster in about 5 minutes. The ride
is amazing. The loops arent scary cuz u cant see them and it is
really fun with the music in your ears the whole ride. I recomend
this to anybody who likes thrills and also people who dont. Children
under 8 or 9 seem to get very scared but anybody else will love
it!" erin
"Myself and my husband, have been going to disney
for the last five years,we would get on rides and go to see the
shows in the parks, but would never get on a roller coaster. That
all changed two years ago, when we took with use a friends daughter, she
was going on all the coasters bye herself,as we would not go with
her, until we got to MGM she bagged me to go on the rockin roller
coaster with her.I decided that i would give it a try,as we headed
to the gate and where next to go on the ride, i decided not to go,and
told her i would meet her at the exit after her ride. The next thing
i knew she gave me a bit of a push, and i ended up in the car,and
she jumped in right behind me,so that ment i could not get out,so
i had to go.I was so scared, but after the ride i was really glad
she pushed me in the car as i LOVED IT and went back on the ride
about ten more times,mt husband could not get me off.Last year when
we went to the park the first thing i did was make my way to the
rocken roller coaster and went on it many times. This is the best
ride i have been on in my life." Kim Carroll
"Well, a few months ago when my family and I
went to Florida, we all decided to go on the rockin roller coaster.
We had no idea what we were in for. When we were in the recording
studio it was unbelieveable. We didn't have to use fast passes the
first time because we went right through. We all got in the middle
seats of the actual limo roller coaster. The voice of Steven Tyler
in my ear was great. When the ride we shot off 60 miles an hour
and got our picture taken I couldn't help but sing " walk this way"
by aerosmith. When we were going upside down I wasn't scared because
I couldn't see. When we got off the ride and headed for the gift
shop, we bought the picture and went on 2 more times!" Kelsey
"This is the best ride in the world. My dad and
I rode it 14 times. It was extremely fun. I would recommend this
to everybody over 8. I was very scared because it was my first time
going up side down but I could not tell when we were actually going
up side down. It is much smoother and funner than Space Mountain.
I would suggest this ride to enybody who loves roller coasters.
GET A FASTPASS IF THE LINES ARE LONG." Leslie McAdams
"I LOVED the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster!Fast passes
make it even better because you are only in line for about 15 minutes. The
take off is awesome and I love how they have different liscense
plates for the different songs they sing! I am only 10 but adults
can like it too! My dad puched me to go on it and believe it or
not, I LOVED IT!!" Billy Bob
"This is the most AWESOME ride i have ever been
on!!!!! We used Fastpass and waited about 15 minutes. the people
there put us in the back of the coaster and it was great!!!!!!!
I don't even really like most rollercoasters but i loved this one!!!!!
I reccomend it for everybody!!!! Use Fastpass and sit in the back."
Chelsey
"I cant keep my wife off this thing...she loved
it..she rode it over and over. I can always get her to come back
to Disney by just promising her she can ride this ride, and besides
I can put her on it while i Ride my Favorite ride..The tower of
terror!" (10/02) Scottie Harrison
"It defintely was my daughters favorite ride
in MGM I cant count how many times we rode it. She loved the takeoff
it was awesome!!! We used the fastpass on it and it made a big difference.
My wife is not a thrill rider so she kept us in fastpasses while
we rode the thrill rides." (8/02) Nelson Wrinkle
"The launch is incrediable. The strange thing
about the launch is it is straight instead of the usuall up hill
launch. The start may be a bit to intense for youngsters. Use the
Fast Pass. at mid day lines can reach an hour and a half. Ffor the
best ride, sit in BACK!" Benjamin
" thought this was AWESOME! It hardly had any
wait if u used the fastpass (which I did 5 of 6 times I went on
it.) This is a great first "intanse" roller coaster, beacause its
in the dark and you dont get scared before you get on it (which
is by far the worst thing a bout roller coasters.) Plus, its awesome
music! Definetly use a fastpass, or go the last thing. We went just
as the park was closing and there was NO wait. Either that or first
thing in the morning, when everyone else cant handle pounding music
and high speed fun! I loved this attraction and it is what will
bring me back to disney again and again!" Stormy
"This is probably my favorite ride in all of
WDW. The line is long and unfortunately, people break and no one
supervises this. I used Fastpass and I have also been able to walk
up and get in after only about a 20 minute wait. Whatever the wait,
don't miss it. It is a fast, quick ride and a super roller coaster.I
really can't think of what to say, except "Don't Miss it!" This
is the most popular attraction in MGM and has the longest lines.
Run there first thing when the park opens. Get in line, if not already
too long and ride. When you come out, get a fast pass and then head
over to Tower of Terror and get in that line. Then return to Ride
Roller Coaster again. You will want to ride more than once. I found
that in the afternoons, the lines are almost unbearable and the
fast pass times are delayed hours. If you get a fast pass, you will
have to w a it 3 to 4 hours to ride. It might be better to just
wait in the line at that point. Very popular with teens and everyone
else. If you are very old and in poor health, beware. The takeoff
is so fast that you feel G forces against your stomach for a few
seconds. (But I'm 50 years old and I love)" Marsha Clark
"When i went on this ride i really loved it.
I loved it because this was the first time i actually went upside
down in a ride. I really love this ride!" John
"The Rock 'n' Roller coaster is an exhilarating
ride through Hollywood on your way to an Aerosmith concert. The
ride starts out as you walk through G-Force records on you way to
see an Aerosmith live recording session. Once there, you meet Aerosmith
just as they're finishing up a recording session. You chitchat for
a while then they invite you to their concert that they will be
having soon. They have to get you there somehow, so they order a
bunch of limo's to transport you there. You continue on and go into
what is the back alleyway of the record company. You can see the
limo's speeding off as they head to the concert. You board roller
coaster cars that look like limousines. You then are shot off from
0-60 on 2 seconds as your head to the concert. You pass my all different
scenes of Hollywood as you speed and twist your way to the concert.
By the time you know it, you're there. You then exit into the gift
shop, and that's the ride.
The Rock'n'Roller coaster is the best roller coaster I've been on.
They beginning when you shoot off from 0-60 in 2 seconds is the
absolute best part. The theming is excellent as you go into G-Force
records and when you're in the actual ride. If you don't really
like roller coasters, I would try this one. There is no big drop,
and you're in the dark the whole ride." by Kevin
"If you like roller coasters you will love this.
First of all you don't have to be a rock n roll fan to enjoy this
ride. Areosmith is a Fabulous band and I must say that the music
fits the ride. We had lots of fun just standing on line for this
ride. It was well worth the wait. I truley enjoyed it and it was
the best ride of the park that day. A must do at the Disney MGM
theme park. tips= There are trees covering the line so it is fairly
cooler and once you get inside you can relax in the ac alittle longer
through a nice 5 min movie. before the ride." Denise Temple
"I'm 18 and i went to Disney world with three
other friends of the same age and we loved rockin roller coaster.
we rode it four times and thought it was great. i love the front
seat the best, mostly because you can be the first to watch the
take off. in the front though you have to slow down for the back
to catch up so after the first part (which is the best part) it
is the slowest of the car. the back is cool after the first take
off." Kevin, ma.
"As an amusement park junkie, my only criticism
of WDW when I first went in 1997 was that the rides were wimpy.
This ride IS NOT! I loved it. Great theming, awesome speed and it
goes without saying that the music was loud and fantastic. Thankfully,
I was there at the end of September and the lines were short enough
that I could ride it multiple times!" Amy
"Ok, so this one COULD rival SM. First, I love
Aerosmith, so just listening to the music while you're in line was
great. Then, while you're waiting, you see the other "limos" pull
away. They stop the cars dead at the beginning. There is a countdown
on a big screen in front of you. Then, you take off so fast that
you are glued to your seat immediately! There are all sorts of neon
signs that go whizzing by. Unfortunately, because of those signs,
you can see a lot of the track. I WANT TOTAL DARKNESS!!!!!! SM will
still always be my fave." Julie Shippee
