In creating the Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney wanted to build a theme
park that captured his childhood memories and dreams, a place where
his imaginative storytelling and timeless characters could take family
entertainment to new levels.

Share a Dream Come True Parade
Mickey Mouse and 100 Disney characters star in the Magic Kingdom parade,
'Share A Dream Come True', highlighting favorite moments from the early
days of Mickey Mouse cartoons to the newest animated Disney characters.
Vignettes are captured in giant snow globes with live Disney characters
inside. The spectacular opening float features Mickey Mouse waving form
inside his snow globe atop a Mouse-ment of Mickey statuettes depicting
Mickey through the years.

Producer Bill Anoka calls each float “a moment to remember,” from the
charming Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio to the adventure
of flight in Mary Poppins, Dumbo and Aladdin. The parade stops momentarily
along the route to invite guests into the street to celebrate with the
characters. The finale is a magnificent castle floating on clouds, with
Tinker Bell’s magic wand revealing a character carousel rising from
the clouds inside the final snow globe.
We felt like snow globes kind of captured innocence and
imaginative quality," says Walt Disney Entertainment Managing Producer
John Haupt. "There's something quintessentially magic about them." The
parade becomes a tribute to Walt the Dreamer and the fabulous heritage
of the Disney animated characters.
The parade opens with a float representing Mickey Mouse
throughout his career, with our live Mickey inside the globe. The next
one celebrates Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Pinocchio, with Pinocchio
inside the globe. Next you'll see a tribute to flying characters, like
Mary Poppins, Winnie the Pooh from Blustery Day, Bernard and Bianca,
and Aladdin, whose friend Genie has become a hot air balloon.
The villains follow -- the Evil Queen from Snow White
in the globe, surrounded by Chernabog, Jafar, and Ursula. The Disney
Princesses come next. "This is three globes in one," Haupt adds, "with
The Little Mermaid and Prince Eric, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella
and Prince Charming."
The parade finale is '"The Castle in the Clouds," with
Peter Pan and a host of characters. The float will magicaly lift up
to reveal a crystal carousel inside.
